This was a fabulous site. Great views, hard standings and spacious pitches. We were lucky enough to get a 'dog pitch'. This was a pitch fully enclosed with around 1 acre of field for our dogs. We would simply let them out to roam and play. The location was beautiful and very peaceful, with lovely medieval towns. Views from the site were great, and there were a good selection of walks right from the site. The toilet block facilities were A1, being new and well designed. Everything was extremely clean and the owners were very helpful and friendly. We would love to visit there again, what a great place!

La Tournerie Ferme is a small 6 pitch CL type site situated in a delightful rural area high above the town of Montignac some 4 miles away.
We have just returned from 3 glorious weeks on this idyllic site & have nothing but praise for the way the site is maintained & managed. Nothing is too much trouble for the English owners Philip & Wendy who quite rightly take great pride in what they have achieved.
If you are looking for an adult only site with large pitches,a state of the art toilet block, stupendous views, & most important of all sheer peace & quiet, then this is the place for you.
Visit their easy to use website, it's worth it, & should you then decide to spend a holiday there you will have no regrets.
Philip & Wendy not only do it they do it with style.

This really is our sort of site. A small (6 pitch) adult only site with beautiful views and no passing traffic whets the appetite. The prospect of enclosed individual pitches for dog owning caravanners was enough to tempt us to try it.
Dogs welcome? - Wow! – Our dogs had an acre to themselves – all enclosed with the van. The lane past the site – hardly used – led down to mixed deciduous woods and pasture land. Nightingales and Golden Orioles to be heard but not seen – forays into the woodland around yielded red deer and red squirrels in compensation, and an array of birds of prey cruised past.
Phil and Wendy have a clear vision of what they would like to see on a site, and have delivered it. The pitches are spacious – the 2 fenced dog pitches enormous, and the brand new toilet block has been built to a standard beyond expectation on a small site.
This environment is so relaxing, it’s easy to forget that Les Eyzies, Sarlat, Domme are within easy reach, and Perigueux’s Roman museum is only 50km away. Montignac is a pretty town, with an adundance of good eating places at lunchtimes - the only downside a temperamental laundrette.
How can time pass so slowly and fly by simultaneously? We came away contented but with so much more to see and do.
We’ll be back.

Unaccustomed as we are to passing on any special 'gems'(purely for selfish reasons), we cannot keep this purrrfect site to ourselves.
Jan and I love very quiet, spacious 'CL' type sites in the UK. So we were a bit disappointed to find so few small 'camping a la ferme' sites in France.
However ! La Tournerie is up there amongst the best anywhere, UK included. Idyllic views - deafening silence (except when one sneezes)- spacious pitches, electric hookups, and a toilet block that would be the envy of ANY caravan site, or for that matter B & B's. Even though the block was not quite finished, the standard and the facilities were obvious to see. Quality was the norm and attention to detail everywhere. Phil and Wendy have really worked a fantastic transformation of what was only 6 months ago a gently sloping field with open views across the Dordogne. Their website truly says it all - and probably underestimates it many areas. They are there if you need them, across the field if you don't.
The area has a wealth of attractions including Grottes, Caves, Chateaux, and beautiful villages. Rocamadour (a must visit) and Domme are only an hours drive away.
There are loads of establishments for dining or snacking - to suit all pockets, and la boulangerie and supermarche are only 10 mins away in Montigniac ( a lovely place to eat your lunch by the river Vezere). -
We could go on. But I think enough said to earn a bottle of wine next Easter (which is already booked!)
Honestly, to visit a site which has everything - a site that is in the middle of everything and a site just to crash out away from everything, you must try La Tournerie. Well done Phil and Wendy and good luck !
