It had been recommended to me by a friend and I was pleased to see that they had not lied when they said it was a fantastic site.
Firstly, the owner could not have been more helpful and friendly. He made any of our questions/problems seem as if they were his problems and helped us out whenever it was required.
Now to the facilities of the site. The toilet block was clean and contained everything that you would expect it to have, including an additional shower away from the main shower block. The shower block contained 2 showers which was operated by a coin machine and provided a decent shower. The clothes wash facilities were also fantastic and contained what looked like two brand new machines, 1 a washer and the other a dryer.
The local area only enhanced our holiday further by providing stunning views, blue water and white sandy beaches. It was a slightly colder version of what I would assume paradise looks like. The local village of Arisaig contained a few pubs, a post office and a Spar which is all that is necessary for whatever groceries you really need.
As opposed to a review below, I found the other customers on the Site to be welcoming and willing to lend a hand when we required, especially when we were putting up our awning for the caravan.
Overall I would class this campsite, just as my friend said, fantastic and well worth a visit if you are in the area.
We will be visiting it next year as well because of how much we enjoyed the holiday this year, hopefully the weather is just as good!

Had only intended to stay here for 1 night but ended up staying for 4 nights. The weather was good with beautiful sunsets and views across to Eigg and Rum.
Lovely white sandy beaches and turquoise blue water. The Jacobite Steam Train from Mallaig to Fort William passes nearby to the site and is magnificent to view.
Facilities were basic but that should not let you be put off as the location is superb. Showers operate on a coin meter and there is also a dishwashing area and an excellent laundry with drying area.
Arisaig is about 4 miles from the site and has a small spar shop and post office along with a couple of hotels and eating places. The nearby village of Morar is lovely with beautiful beaches.
Ernie the owner was fantastic. Very welcoming and easy going.
We would certainly return to this site again and really enjoyed our stay there.

Can't blame the weather or the scenery for our disappointment at this site. The location is idyllic but the showers are inadequate to say the least. Tiles falling off and very cramped and dirty.
We loved the general area but our stay was spoiled with the general grubbiness of the site. We felt it had been left to run down with no signs of modernisation in place.
The facilities are very basic and 50p for a 3 minute shower and 10p for 30 seconds of hot water for your dishes.
So I'm afraid we will not be going back to this site again

What a find! We stumbled upon this place really, two of us with our two labradors.
Now if you like luxury and cleanliness at all times - this is not the site for you. But moans about shoddy showers and shabby toilets (though clean apart from cobwebs) can easily be put aside when you consider it's only £13 per night!
Superb location - stunning scenery with its own beach. Take your shoes off and walk the sands, even if it's horrid weather, the sand is so smooth! Ernie, the man in charge is so laid back, much better than some camp sites where you are almost scared to breathe in case you get thrown off the place!
Food in Arisaig Hotel v good, as is the place only a mile up the road. We seen a cracking sunset from there one evening. Good wee shop in Arisaig which stocks almost everything.
We will return!

The site being in a fantastic location, close to the beach etc for canoeing, kayaking.
It has to be said though that even if it wasn't the most expensive site the facilities are and I can confirm from having a look last week(July 2011, we chose this year to book at the fantastic new site next door), are disgusting.
The shower curtain in the ladies was black with mould, the damp smell was terrible and the gents was the same. I cant understand why anyone would want to put up with this and return to this site.
We used the shower etc in our caravan for the duration and vowed never to return unless the facilities ever get upgraded which I'm not convinced money will be spent.

This would be a lovely spot if the weather allowed it. The area has lovely beaches and is very wild and rugged but we were unable to see it due to the mist and driving rain, this also made the sunsets we hoped for impossible as there was no sun.
The site is in a good spot and has a small sandy beach. The facilities are quite basic but clean, the showers could do with some attention, however.
They do cram tents and caravans on a little. While we were there, there were some quite large groups and their consideration towards others staying there was non existent, which was a shame.
There is one pub/restaurant within walking distance which was lovely but expensive but provided welcome relief from the rain.

Just returned from a week at this fantastic site. This is the perfect site for a relaxing break with views to die for. With safe, private beachs and rock pools for kids to explore there is no need for play areas. If you like entertainment and manicured grass this is not the place for you. It is a working croft with a laid back relaxed atmosphere.
Toilets were clean, though basic and constantly topped up with soap and toilet paper. There is a large freezer at the dishwashing area to store food.Laundry room provides washer and dryer.
Owners were friendly and helpful and the number of regulars who return time and time again proves that they have got the balance right.A folding camper with hook up, car, two adults, two 14 year olds and a dog - £13 per night.

Just spent a week at this site. The view from our van window was spectacular, we could see across to Eigg.
I would recommend this site to anyone who appreciates lovely scenery, enjoys crystal clear water and white sandy beaches and/or simply wants to relax and let the world go by. If you are looking for a commercial site with lots of extras this is not the site, or the area for you.
The site owners are very friendly, when you arrive they show you to your pitch.
The toilets are basic, female showers 20p Male (new shower block) 50p.
The site has its own private white sandy beach, easy for launching kayaks and for kids building sand castles etc.
There is a washer & dryer, £2 for each machine.
There is also a rotary close dryer outside.
There is a Spar shop in Arisaig and a Co-op in Mallaig.

This site is in a lovely area. It is great for walking, cycling and canoeing. The site is small clean and well kept.
The toilet blocks are clean but in need of renovation (in the pipe line). The price reflects this as it is very cheep. The owner is very friendly and people have been and coming back year after year.
The views over to skye, rum and egg are breath taking. The kids can play on the beach for hours of even feed the hens. Sea otters can also sometimes be seen along with other wild life. I would recommend this one.

First of all I would just like to say what a beautiful place arisaig is and the people are really friendly. The owners were very nice and friendly, the site was right next to your own private white sanded beach, better than any abroad. There is a freezer for you to store your things, there is a laundry room with a whirly outside and there is even a radio in the toilets to listen to when you are getting your shower. The views are fantastic. There is a beautiful beach, the silver sands not far away and the water is so clear. Mallaig is about 7 miles away and from there you can catch a ferry to Skye. You can also get a steam train here which takes you to Fort William. So much beautiful scenery to take in, breathtaking! Will definitely be back next year. Loved it
