Lovely site down a dead end lane. Beautiful flat field away from the electric hook ups was nice and quiet. Very little traffic noise could be heard.
Convenient location for getting to Whitstable, Herne Bay and Canterbury. A couple of local pubs looked to be within walking distance (didn't use them myself) and served food. Showers were the cleanest I have ever seen!
Rabbits in the field, and yes, you can hear the wolves howl! No dogs, no children's play things, didn't venture into the woods, I didn't know you could until I saw the previous review, so that could have been better sign posted!
I'm not going to say too much because I'd like to keep this one to myself, thank you! The field had been mowed, and the grass left to dry, so we did bring a lot of grass home with us.
However, the people opposite appeared with a rake, not sure if they took it with them or borrowed it from the owner, but don't forget your dustpan and brush at the least!

What a fantastic campsite. Down a country lane and idyllic peace and quiet. Showers/washing up facilities very clean and tidy.
Atmosphere very friendly and Derek and Doreen always on hand for help and advice. If you have a car you can visit Faversham, Whitstable, Herne Bay and Minnis Bay plus all the countryside and walks.
Not many places to eat nearby but Herne Bay high street and main superstores near by for stocking up supplies.
Will go back next year. Braggs Farm is a fantastic get away from the rat race

Very pleasant little site tucked away along a narrow dead end lane. The loo and showers are small but well kept and clean. Part of the site is used for caravan storage but the individual pitches are large and flat.
There are no facilities to entertain kids and dogs are not allowed. Footpaths lead into a large wood. The paths seem to go for miles and there are some very attractive walks.
Wild Wood animal reserve is less than a mile away and at dusk the Wolfs can be heard having a good old howl!
As mentioned in a previous review the Butchers Arms at Herne is a great little pub to visit for real ale and banter. Not for lager lovers or Sky sport punters though. The pub on the hill nearest the campsite is a bit of a seventies time warp.
Yes great little site I would use again.

This is a really fantastic site. We camped over a bank holiday weekend but were able to get an entire field to ourselves, with just a horse and some rabbits for company in the next field - heavenly! The toilets and shower were always really clean - only one shower but as it's not a huge site there never seemed to be any queues. Plenty of hot water and the shower was free. Nice to have hot water in the washing up station too and at £12 per night it was cheaper than some other nearby campsites.
There is one OK-ish pub half a mile walk away, but it's absolutely worth the extra mile walk to the Butchers Arms in Herne - a micro-pub with real ales and seats for just 6 people, and absolutely worth a visit. They opened at odd times though so worth calling ahead to check its open.
Re things to do Herne Bay is worth a visit (especially the traditional Pie and Mash restaurant on the seafront, just by the clock tower), but nearby Whitstable had more to see and do. We can recommend hiring bikes and cycling the 7 mile Crab and Winkle Way to Canterbury. Margate is also nearby and worth a visit for the Turner Contemporary art gallery.
Fantastic campsite, fantastic area, we will definitely be back!

Here's what we found. We wanted a tent pitch and to be honest it was pretty empty with only a couple of other tents and a couple of dozen static caravans of which only a small handful were occupied.
The owner had an adjacent property and was on hand as we entered. Money was taken immediately.
The facilities were of a decent standard. Showers were warm and clean. Toilets were also clean and satisfactory.
In reality there was nothing on the site to keep you there. It was just a couple of fields with no communal areas. However, that may appeal to some.
It was a good location to explore the locale and broadstairs was lovely. Whitstable and Canterbury were also very pretty.
A highlight was leaving the campsite on foot and within a hundred yards entering a nature reserve where we were lucky enough to spot a naturalised horse imported from the Netherlands (Konik). Quite a sight wandering wild in the woodland!
To sum up, nothing to complain about, but nothing to be drawn back to. A field with a shower and a loo from which to explore the area. That may be just what some people look for in a campsite, but it lacked a bit of atmosphere due to being so quiet.
Don't overlook it as it did nothing wrong, but just didn't add anything special to the camping experience.

Very nice small site with a friendly welcome, no frills but good basic facilities. Very well-kept sanitary block with plenty of hot water. Site is at the end of a lane off the A291 and very secluded, A299 motorway was audible during our visit (due to East wind) but the birds were louder, very varied dawn chorus from the adjacent woods. Very reasonably priced, £12 per night, no playground, bar, shop, bingo or karaoke, ideal for lovers of peace and quiet. Didn't try the pub but there's one about 10 mins walk away. Would happily return.

Lovely tucked away site about 3 miles from the coast at Herne Bay.
Toilets / showers very clean and situated in a small wooden building that looks like a cricket pavilion.
The site is large and well kept with each pitch having plenty of room. Ehu available and water / chem disposal. Site doesn't accept dogs.
There is no road noise as the site if approx 1/2 mile up a track - no problem with larger units getting up track as big RV had made it onto site.
Both Whitstable and Herne Bay only 5 minutes away by car. All the usual shops and some lovely restaurants.
A really nice little CL where the owners were very friendly and helpful. Would use again if in the area.

A very clean and quiet and well maintained site. The toilet block is kept very clean and has a unit for a person with disabilities with shower. There are electrical hookups. And a chemical toilet disposable point.
(I have a tent but need the electrical hookup to charge us my mobility scooter)
The site is located down a single track lane. Set in a rural area. A pub is about 10 minutes walk away.
There is not a play area for children but each time I have been to the site (3) the children are well behaved.
Shops in nearby Herne bay.
The owners are very nice and polite.

Very nice site tucked away up a one track road.
The approach is a little tight and a few pot holes and I wouldn't want to meet anything the other way. But when you get there its really nice and secluded little toilet block but was perfectly fine. Would need car to get to civilisation. Owners are very pleasant. We went there for a relaxing weekend and because of the good weather never went out just stayed there and relaxed.
