This is the second time we've stopped here, (both times in a group). This time there was five families, and we 'took over' the top, smaller field of the two. Some pitches on this field have electric hookup, but not all.

Great site. As previous reviewer states, one improvement would be to separate the showers and the toilets, although handy when the three S's are the order of the day, it's a pain when all bathrooms are taken up and you're just wanting a toilet. To be fair, this doesn't happen often, and one doesn't have to wait too long.

We bought some 'home-grown' eggs from the owner, lovely! They come well recommended. Meant to try duck and/or goose eggs, which were also on sale, but never got round to it.

As stated, site is near a pub, and is just by Nefyn which has two small supermarkets and some smaller local shops. Close to many beautiful beaches, and has glorious views over the local mountains. (Last time we visited we climbed one, a lovely if tough walk, this time, the weather was gorgeous and we spent most of our time on the beach).

There is a communal fridge freezer to freeze ice blocks, or chill your food. A rotary washing line, and a bar-b-que area with bbq's and picnic benches available for use.

This site is cheap, does the job, well located, and recommended. We'll def be staying again next year!

Just got back from this site, we had a fantastic time and would go back again.

The site is split into 2 areas, one bigger than the other, the larger field only allows 5 caravans at a time and the top field has a few more.

The pitches are on the outside of the field allowing a large playing area for children.

There is a large field adjacent to the site with a gate leading into it which you can use to walk the dogs, or as our kids choose, to feed the horses over the fence.

The toilets and showers were very good, there were 4 rooms, each contained a toilet, shower and wash basin. These were unisex. The toilets were cleaned regularly and smelt clean too.

The owner was very friendly, we met the wife as the husband was away, she was more than willing to offer advice and even moved us to a different pitch as the hook ups were to far for our lead to reach.

The owners are very trusting, upon leaving we were asked to put payment in the envelopes provided and to pop it in a letterbox.

We wanted logs for out chimnea one day and asked the owner where to get them from, she said she was off out and would get some for us, which was very good of her.

The checkout time is noon, but as nobody was coming to our pitch until later, the owner allowed us to stay on till 5pm.

As stated in a post below, there is a pub up the road which you can walk too in 10 minutes which does fantastic food, and has a good adventure playground for the kids. If you have to much to drink and plan to drive home, the staff do take keys off you for your own protection. This isn't from experience but from talking to one of the barmaids.

The only criticism I have of this site is the toilets, being housed with the showers meant that early in the morning or at night, if you need the loo you may have to wait if people are using the showers, it would be useful to have maybe one or two separate toilet stalls for the sole use.But that's being picky really as at most I waited a few minutes.

Top site, beautiful location, nice owners, kid friendly, pub walking distance, abersoch 10 min drive.

Try it out and you wont be disappointed.

Fairly flat site a mile from Nefyn. Excellent toilet, showers and washing up area. Good pub 5 mins away which served excellent food and plenty of it(Ave. main course £9). Good choice of three real ales.

Good views to the mountains. Short bike ride to the beaches which are superb for the kids.

Golf lovers will have fun at Nefyn Golf Club. A superb yet difficult and long course for those with some experience. Good food at lunchtime.

Would have liked to have seen more of the owners just to say hello etc.

Overall worth the £14 a night fee
