I found this site on my way back from Snowdon, I was met by the very friendly and helpful owner who directed me to pitch anywhere in the camping field. There were only two other tents there so no overcrowding
The toilets were spotless as were the showers. Hot water in the hand basins and £1 tokens for the showers which were hot and plenty of time for the money.
The field is slightly sloping but there are many flat and level areas.
The setting is idyllic with views over the two lakes towards Capel Curig and up the valley to Tryfan. No shops or facilities nearby but only 5 minutes drive from Betws-y-coed.
The grass is kept short by the sheep in the field who wander around the tents and add a nice feel to this tranquil site.
I only spent 1 night here but will definitely be back; the setting is unrivalled.
No electric hook ups but this wasn't on my 'must have' list. Charged me £4 for the night which in this day and age is very good value.

Me and my other half have visited this camp site around 3 times already, and I thought it would be helpful to write a review.
Garth Farm is a hidden gem in the Snowdonian Mountains. The site is very small, quite uneven and very rocky - however the stunning scenery overshadows all of this. It can be quite difficult to pitch your tent facing the lovely lake due to an incline and can be problematic if you want to park your car close to your tent (we got stuck on our previous visit due to the ground being wet and muddy - but it was February)
The site owners are very friendly and speak both Welsh and English.
The site is a working farm and sheep are able to roam at their will, and the owner's border collie does do her rounds between the tents, but is a very friendly dog.
The facilities are a small block of toilets and showers which are adequate for the camp site's needs. They were clean on our second visit which was during peak season, but got a bit muddy in our February visit (due to the weather again!). The showers need tokens but are inexpensive.
I would recommend this camp site to anyone visiting this region of Snowdonia. It is rural, picturesque, quiet and only £4 per night- perfect for a short relaxing getaway.
