We have just returned from this site after a 5 day stay with family and friends. The site entrance area looked lovely and well set out. On arrival we were told that we had been moved to 2 other pitches because someone had decided to stay longer
The pitches were ok but right next to the wheeled bin surrounded by wasps (we did move it over)
The portacabin loos were diry every time we used them and didn't feel safe at night.
The main shower block was clean on only one of the days we were there, the rest of the time it was smelly and dirty.
You do have a water supply next to the electric hook up point. This saves you treking to the main area to the dirty sinks.
Overall its in a great location but I would not recommend this site for what we paid. There was no play area that was mentioned on the website either. Disappointing.

We visited this campsite on the August Bank Holiday weekend of 2011, so we knew the site would be busy and fully booked. We arrived on a wet morning and the stall member in the office was very helpful. They showed us to our pitch in the tent field. We would of preferred a hook-up, but at the time of booking none was available.
The camping field is clearly marked to show pitches and a map showing all tent allocations. However, the field was over filled (maybe due to demand on the Bank Holiday) and other tents were squeezed in. This meant the tent next you each other was no more than 2 metre away! Not a good start!
The toilet block for the tent field was a porta loo which consisted of 3 toilets for men and only 1 for the ladies. These were very poorly looked after and very dirty. Understandable it was raining and the field got muddy during the stay (also due to over booking!). But we only saw the cleaner once during the stay.
The main shower block was at the front of the campsite, which contained 3 showers in each and toilets. These we a little better, but the showers were still dirty, the curtains had mould and even 'lipstick' mark all over the ladies ones!
There nothing for the kids to do on this site, no shop and a walk to the nearest one down a very busy road.
I would really like to say something positive, but really can't. My kids is learn something during there stay. Some choice swear words from the other campers!
We have learnt from this that we really need to review campsites more, not book on Bank Holidays, always have electric hook-up and pay that little bit more.

I give this site 10/10. Nothing too much trouble for the staff, shows people to their pitch. We even saw him unhitch a caravan.
We were visited by friends and they were impressed with the site and they booked for a later date
Toilets and entrances cleaned a least 2 times a day. Nearest pub is the Kings Oak Club which also does meals, 200 yards away. The nearest shop about a half a mile away
Security barrier to enter the site, also a manual barrier at night comes in to force

It was a last minute booking so grateful we got a pitch however we were a little disappointed the website was misleading and says children's play area, this is yet to be built.
The showers are new modern and spacious but a push button which gives About 10 seconds water before having to press again, bit like in local swimming baths, showers very annoying when washing hair also cold for the first 5 minutes and low pressure if anyone else in the showers. There are 3 showers which for a site this big is no where near enough and its right at the start of the site which was rubbish for us pitched at the other end. Definitely needs some more at the top end of the site we did have porta loo opposite us though which had one loo for men and one for women, no soap or hand dryer and most times I went never any loo roll, the cleaner was always there with mop though after bad rain but never seemed to clean the loo or replace the loo rolls.
The shower blocks had 4 or 5 toilets some with own sinks in again no soaps and in the sink in the shower block no soap my partner says the same in the male ones
Pitches on grass got extremely muddy no hard standing
No shop or any facilities like that at all on site, we had to go next door for gas
Definitely been to better sites and wouldn't rush back but great location 5 mins from chapel shops and beach and we had a nice stroll to the village which took about half hr.
Site was clean loads of dogs which the rules say should be on lead but hardly any were! It says its newly owned and newly opened but the cleaner said it was there last year too, so for a site over a year old it was lacking in lots of areas which for an established place should have but I don't know exactly how long it has been open.
Found it expensive for what we got. Nothing! we could only shower once and my partner couldn't even get in cause too big queue in the evening. We paid £67 for 3 nights for a family then £14 for a family swim in the site next door !

It was pouring rain and the site owner was not there (we had not pre booked and just turned up on the chance that there were some spaces) but one quick call later he booked us in and showed us to our spot. The site was brilliant the facilities were spotless at all times the site is secure and can only be accessed via a swipe card. Good price too. Fantastic time had by all we will definitely go again.
