Stayed for one night. Checked in and the owner gave us directions to nearest supermarket (Somerfield) quite nearby. We live near a railway line so yes we noticed trains passing but no hassle for us. The showers were good, facilities all spotless.
My other half thought the hardstanding was a bit tight to get onto. Grass was very waterlogged and you could become trapped quite easily in wet weather. The snow and sleet did not help matters much.
The surrounding area is beautiful, we loved Bridlington beach, very bracing!

We loved this place its a nice distance to brid town, pub is really close by, were surfing so its near enough to pop up to Filey or Scarborough. The owners are great and will provide you with a BBQ stand which is good, we had a tent and were put on what is caravan space but this means you have a hook up. Strange if you are used to being surrounded by tents as it feels like you are in between caravans depends on your view but it made a pleasant change.
The toilets were clean and showers were good, the site is clean ad friendly a lovely place for families felt really welcome by all.
All in all a great place to stay would happilly return again.

Lucky us. We just spent the last two weeks in glorious sunshine on this site. First time been on this site every thing is very basic but clean and tidy. Owners are very helpful and friendly. Good pub next door doing reasonable meals and kids small playpark. Other side on big camp has kids play area and swimming pool and a nice club house. Good area for touring and walking.

Spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed it. Nice walk down to the well manicured grassy clifftop, here there are steps down to the sea ,or you can stay up top and walk into Bridlington itself,( only 10 minutes away). We found the shower block spotlessly clean every day. The railway line at bottom of site was no problem at all, single welded track that carried the very occasional single carriage. My only small problem with this site,( and many others on the east coast for that matter) is TV reception, ( no big deal for a lot of campers I know, that like to escape the telly) but if you do like to watch TV , then I suggest a high gain aerial, other than that, I would definitely recommend this site.

Have just returned from 3 nights at The Poplars. Agree with all comments about the friendly and very helpful site owners. They showed us to our pitch and helped position the caravan correctly. They were always available to help. The railway line was not a problem and the site was very quiet although it was busy. No ball games are allowed, although we had a swingball set which was ok to use. This might put some families off. However, the site is well positioned for walks to Bridlington and Flamborough ( about 2 miles). The pub at the entrance to the site was good, some entertainment at weekends, good games room, and meals looked good value, although it did get busy. Only down point was the toilets. The gents always seemed to have an aroma and there was no heating, so be ready for cold feet when showering. However, we would visit this site again

We had a weekend visit to this site it was a lovely little site. When we first got there we were worried by the train line that runs along the bottom of the site, but it didnt bother us I dont know if that was because it was winter time table.
There is a pub at the end of the site that sells good food, it is also a nice stroll to sewerby which you can walk along the cliff tops into Bridlington. Would visit this site again in near future.

June 2003 This is a small and friendly site, not really suitable for children as there are no playing areas and the nearest park is a fare distance from the site. But on the plus side if you like to get away from the hussle and bussle of the town this is a perfect site and has a very good Bar/Restauraunt next door but it is recommended that you book a table if you are planning to have a meal as it get's full very quickly! Oh and bring your 20 pence pieces, you'll need them for the shower.
There is so much to see and do in this area that'll we're sure you'll not fit it all in on a single trip, get yourself a free Bridlington guide map from the tourist office as it is packed with places to go in the surrounding area and has money off vouchers (very handy!) And one must on your thing's to do list, just 5 minutes drive from this site is Flambourough Head and during May to August you'll be able to see the puffin's nesting on the ledges and diving into the sea for fish.

Summer 2003x2 Actually there is a pub next door which serve a very good meal, agreed, amenities are basic but very clean. The golf links are a short drive away with a superb restaurant that is open to the public with fantastic views out over the sea and, I'm assured by a golfing friend, that the course is very good. Also within walking distance is a caravan accessory shop/dealer. A railway-line runs next to the site but trains dont run late/early.

June 2003 The site was very basic (nothing at all for children) but very very clean. Just a 20 minute walk away was the Ship Inn pub where you can sit outside with a nice kids play area and you are on the cliff tops of sewerby which is very nice especially if you are taking a dog with you.their is also a fish and chip shop neer the ship inn that does top quality fish and chips (been going their 20 years, same owner).will go there again
