We have just stayed here for 4 nights, this site is worth a visit, the proprietor is warm and welcoming. The site itself is exceptionally well maintained and very spacious, excellent play facilities for children and a clean and safe environment. The on site shop is well stocked with every day essentials and a lovely selection of home/farm produce.
The shower and toilet facilities are exceptionally clean, although a little cold. The showers have good power in them, But! there are only 2 male and 2 female and they are fixed head units, which are no good for showering young children, and there is no temperature control. A new additional shower block is due to be constructed so this will be an added bonus.
Overall we would recommend this site and I am sure in time it will win awards.

On arrival we were met with a very warm welcome! The site was very clean and spacious, the toilets and showers very clean and tidy although the owners are building a new shower/toilet block. Ample space for both children and pets to roam. Myself and my family really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend you come and stay here. It is close to Weymouth town centre with plenty of places to visit. The site shop holds a good selection of products ranging from everyday essentials to a bit more luxuries if required. We will be making another visit very soon.

A lovely little site, only problems to note is that their is no curfew so if you have noisy neighbours drinking, singing etc. Till 2am as we did, then not very good.
The pitches are a little small on hook ups, rather up close and personal.
The facilities where good although showers a little small if having to shower a small child at the same time as yourself. The play equipment for the children was great and allowing dogs a exercise area was good idea.
A good site but I doubt we will be staying there again.

My husband and 2 children stayed at this campsite towards the end of August and had a most lovely stay.
The showers were spotless, the site was clean and tidy and we were right in the heart of the Jurassic Coast and able to explore Weymouth, Chesil Beach and even go onto Lyme Regis which was just so lovely. We did a lot of walking too.
What we liked most about this site was how peaceful and quiet it was. We were able to relax in the evening with a nice bottle of wine and look out of the Dorset Countryside.
This site is very well run with friendly staff who care about you which we appreciated. Someone came round every evening to see if we were ok and these small touches make a difference.
We will definitely be back next year.

We chose to stay at this campsite firstly because of the very reasonable price per night.
We pitched at the top of the field near the play area, and although the pylons were noticeable at first, we soon forgot they were there.
As it is a new site there were only basic facilities which Daniel informed me they would be looking to upgrade in the future, however we never needed to queue for toilets & showers. They were kept clean and topped up with handwash and toilet roll. Also, in the shower block there was a rack full of leaflets of things to do / places to go. Very useful if you don't know the area.
Very good idea to have a mobile charging point and a freezer for ice blocks however If you are going to put ice
Packs in don't expect to get yours back but you can take what is there.
People were complaining at times about the lack of hot water at the washing up sinks however if you don't go at the busiest times the water was extremely hot - or boil a kettle!
We opted to stay an extra night however if it had not been fully booked over bank holiday would possibly have stayed even longer.
For any bigger supplies there was a Morrisons 5 minutes drive away or there was an m&s with bread, milk etc 2 mins up the road.
Will definitely be going back next year to see how the site will be developed.
Thank you Daniel & your team for an enjoyable relaxing week.

Following the directions we turned off into Nottington Lane. The road got narrower and I prayed we wouldn't meet anything coming the other way! We did! There was no way I was backing up so some very careful edging past each other and we got through the village. I nervously carried on and then we saw the site sign! Relief!
We pulled up and after the barrier opened, looked for our pitch. As promised there was a reserved sign and we pulled up. We needed a pitch with electric near to loos for disabled hubby. I rang the site number and confirmed with staff we had the right pitch!
The site was clean with short cut grass. There were showers and toilet block which I understand are to be replaced with permanent buildings. The blocks were regularly cleaned though. Although they will certainly need more by next year. The site was quiet, just the noise of children playing and adults laughing. All good signs! There is a ball games area with football goal and basketball net and a outdoor table tennis table appeared too! There was a buzz from the pylon but that cannot be helped.
Staff came round a couple of times a day so any concerns could be met if required. We had none. We had a very pleasant, peaceful week and look forward to seeing the facilities as they appear. Its a very good start for a new venture. 'Pizza on the hoof' was pure inspiration (mobile pizza wagon!) We wish them well!

We left it quite late to book for the bank holiday weekend and were pleased that there was room on the site.
It was the best site we have ever stayed on. The owner Daniel could not be more helpful and grateful that we had arrived as the weekend weather forecast was dire at best.
It was beautifully located with lovely view, very quiet and had excellent facilities despite teething problems with a few things. Very clean and even had clothes pegs on 3 washing lines, gratis ice blocks and phone charger point. Wi Fi too. Daniel even took us to the pub on sunday evening for a sumptuous meal in The Ship. A woodburning Pizza man made a site visit too!. There was table tennis, football goal and basket ball hoop available for the children and a designated dog walk area.
Altogether a lovely weekend, very convenient for Weymouth and surrounding area.

Stayed here or 3 nights (14-17 aug). In two tents, and a party of 10.
Owners seemed very friendly and helpful. The site is very well kept, grass is VERY short, toilets are cleaned twice a day, at least. There is a plug to use or mobile phones etc, and I used it a few times. Also a freezer to re-freeze ice packs.
There is a football field, well used by children and adults on the site, and a basketball net was also erected whilst there.
A good quiet location, short distance, driving, to Weymouth and supermarkets. We also went to West Bay on a lovely sunny day, not too far a drive.
There was an ice cream van that visited, best ice cream tasted or a while, no over inflated prices.
The prices were really very good, and please owners, don't do too much to this site. I feel it was perfect for my family and their needs.
There are electric pylons, I sometimes heard them, but after a while I, or any of the group, didn't take any notice of them.
We also had geese and swans flying over twice a day.
Wanted to go back, but fully booked. Will be returning next year.

We camped here for the Olympic sailing week, booked for 4 nights and stayed 8 as it was so convenient, the owners were lovely and their prices were much cheaper than other sites in the area (£19. 50 per night for this year but will have to go up next I believe).
Great site, only two weeks old and everything is very new. Obviously with a new site things like the screening hedges have not grown and they may need to give clearer advice on where exactly to pitch and park as the site gets busier.
Facilities - the loo blocks and showers are new portable cabin units made permanent. They were clean and much warmer than common high ceiling shower blocks. There are even insect screens on the windows. I would have preferred a few more hooks and space to change away from the doorway, but small details I am sure they will sort.
There were 3 ladies loos and two showers (presumably the same in the gents). That may not be enough as they get busy, but an extra loo block appeared while we were there and there are plans for more this winter.
The pitches were very spacious, and all grass which we like, it was a dry week but we had one day of torrential rain for several hours, the site seemed to drain fine. It it is on a rise but seemed sheltered from the sea breeze.
Quite a number of pitches have 10amp elec and they offer Free wifi - but if you want this park near the office to get best reception. The wifi worked great many nights and we could get iplayer sometimes, but at busy times (Olympic closing ceremony!) we could get nothing.
There were no kids facilities (apart from loads of grass) when we arrived but by the end of the week there was a basketball net and footy goal, and I think more is planned (thank -goodness - too many campsites use H&S/insurance costs as an excuse not to provide play equipment!)
A nice touch was the picnic bench/parasol supplied for some sites - this would be fantastic if in a tent - and a level of service I have only seen at places like Eurodisney. There was also a freezer for ice packs (I think they may have even supplied the ice packs to borrow) - we did not need them.
Location. Easy to get to off either the coast road or the Dorchster- Weymouth rd - beware the Nottington signpost was overgrown, look for the overhead traffic lights. Time from the motorway - allow 2hrs (I did not believe google maps when it said this!) - Dorset does not seem to have a single trunk road.
The campsite was a good location for getting around to Dorchester, Weymouth, Lulworth cove, and the coast road along Chesil Beach and as far as Lyme Bay. Probably 10 mins from Weymouth and 15 to Dorcester.
Loads to do. I recommend the Dianasour museum in Dorchester (Approx £25 / family) We also did Tutenkarmun, Teracotta Warriors and (only cos it was in the price) the Teddy museum - NB these are replicas / attractions not the originals but enjoyable anyway (Approx £50 did all 4)
Dorchester Museum also OK - £6. 50/adult kids free I think. We did not do any attractions in Weymouth but it was a nice town to mooch around the shops there are enough independants to make it interesting.
In terms of eating: We had a great meal in the Italian restraunt Bella Italia which we would recommend, but thought the Chinese restraunts either over priced or tacky (beware the menu out side is the takeaway prices - double them!). Fish and Chip restaurant - good fish naff chips.
We used this site as a base for going various places for kayaking and swimming: including Lulworth cove (20-30 mins) a few miles east along the coast- very pretty, very busy - but most folks go home at 5pm.
We also went west to Charnworth (40 mins)for some surf and fossil hunting - seriously recommended and they do fossil walks when the tide is right (need to book) we did one a few years ago and put the knoweldge to good use to find some golden ammonites (one or two little ones!) Also handy for the Abbotsbury swanery (again which we have visited before) and many many tea shops!
All in all a great site, 10 out of 10 for effort and new facilities, only down sides might be that there are large electric pylons in the field and perhaps the facilities may be stretched as they get busier.
We will go back next time we are down Dorset way, and recommend anyone who likes campsites as against regimented caravan sites to try it.

Just returned from a short stay at Higher Moor Farm. We had a great time, the site was immaculate, toilets and showers were very clean, and staff very friendly and accommodating.
Very peaceful and tranquil site with lovely views. We would definitely visit again and recommend to friends.
Only one very small grumble was that there were not enough showers and they were rather small with not enough hooks for clothes and towel.
