We came across this site by chance and very glad we did. Agree with the comments of previous reviewers, a brilliant site, well thought out with all pitches having water, ehu and grey water drainage. The front pitches have views over the sea to the Isle of May and even the pitches on the rows behind have partial sea views.
Toilets / showers brand new. Shower cubicles large with a small area to get dressed, hang clothes. The only downside for us - push button showers, but water I'd good and hot. Two vanity cubicles in ladies, one includes a hairdryer.
Well placed for the villages and only a 15-20 minute drive to St Andrews. Very few sites of this size and quality in the area so its surely going to get very busy. At £21 for a night its not the cheapest but it does include free wifi and for a fully serviced pitch we thought it was well worth the price.

Just back from a 2 night visit to this site - we will definitely be back!
Plenty of space on the pitch with water and electricity. The view over the Forth is amazing. The site is well located (and allows pets), toilets were spotless. 5 minutes along the road is the Haven pub restaurant - food is fab and they allow pets. Another 10 minutes along and you are in Anstruther where there are plenty of shops, bars and places to eat. 3 miles along the coast in the opposite direction is Crail - a lovely walk.
The site also has a games room - we did not use it but it is good to have if the weather is not great.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. This is the first season, next year we will book early to make sure we have a pitch as I imagine with this prime location and well run site it will be booking in advance only!

What a lovely site, each pitch has it own water and waste all hard standing. Lovely views out to sea. Short walk into the local village. Haven pub only 5 min walk from the site, it is dog friendly and the food is lovely. Wifi is free. The owners are very friendly and could not be more helpful. This is a new caravan site and just bedding in. If you visit their web site you will see that they are building it by phases, so far all is good. A brand new toilet block with underfloor heating and it is kept spotless.

I visited this site for 3 three nights as I hadn't visited this area before. As stated earlier after Kirkcaldy the round does wind through the villages after Kirkcaldy but it is well worth the drive.
I can only agree with earlier posts, this is a fabulous site with fantastic views out to sea. All touring pitches are fully serviced with the exception of an aerial point (which is fine as I got a reception from my own). This was the first time I have used a serviced pitch and it was the bees knees, only having to empty the toilet!
There is no play park on site but a very short walk down to the beach takes you to a small play park. From there you can walk into Anstruther and sample the famous fish and chip shop and enjoy an excellent dinner.
As you would expect from a new site the facilities are of the highest standard. I will certainly be visiting this site again.

Just returned from a great 3 night stay at this site. I had booked well in advance and we were given a pitch right at the front of the site with an elevated view over the Forth Estuary and Isle of May probably the best view from a site I have experienced. On the first 2 nights we were treated to the red moon rising from the sea. The pitches are very large hard standing and are all fully serviced with individual water waste and electric hook up. All the facilities are in one large block, with the toilets, laundry room games room and reception and a combined dish washing area and information room. The girl at reception was very pleasant and helpful. The Toilet blocks were immaculate with very large shower cubicles with changing area and fitted seat. The games room is small but has air hockey, pool and darts all with no charge. The site is very new and will benefit in time with ongoing landscaping. Many of the small plants put in last year are dead and the grass areas are not fully established, but this will come in time. A 20 minute walk takes you through very picturesque streets to Anstruther town centre with many cafes shops and take aways. There is a large Co Op Supermarket 5 minutes drive away from the site. The coast along this stretch of Fife is stunning and can be accessed along the Fife Coastal Trail. A wooden gate from the site puts you right on the coastal path and is beside a large playground which is ideal for children.
We would certainly go back to this site and would recommend it for a visit.

This is a new caravan site and just bedding in. If you visit their web site you will see that they are building it by phases, so far all is good. A brand new toilet block with underfloor heating and it is kept spotless.
All the pitches are hard standing with their own fresh water and grey waste point. What I thought was a nice touch is the toilet waste point, it looks like a summer house.
There are 4 levels, the first being closest to the coastal path but they have been positioned in such a way that nobody can park in front of you and obstruct your view of the sea and the Isle of May.
Nice warm welcome when we arrived which is more than can be said for the 'welcome' we got in the Haven, supped up and left.
Anstruther with its famous fish and chip shop is just a further 5 minutes along the coastal path and it has super pubs and eating places.
At the famous fish and chip shop we ate in and I had 'smoked haddock and batter' with a glass of the local brewed St Andrews ale, awesome.
Sunday afternoon we walked along the coastal path to Crail and had lunch then a slow walk back. A good day.
The path is easy going but a good pair of walking shoes is recommended as you have to traverse some rocky areas.
All in all a great holiday weekend and will definitely be back. I think phoning up and booking up is essential as this is going to be a very popular site with tourers and campervans.
Must add one of the phases of development is a kids area with football park, at the moment there is no play area but just down the hill in Cellardyke there is plenty for the kids to do.

Just back from a long bank holiday weekend spent at Silverdyke with our 2 boys aged 11 & 13. A very new site overlooking the east coast of Fife in between Anstruther and Cellardyke. Loads to do within a short drive or cycle ride, those familiar with the area will know of the famous fish and chip shop in Anstruther - well worth a visit.
A mixture of static caravans and touring pitches. All the touring pitches are generous 'superpitches' which is a real positive. Beautiful views over the water to the Isle of May. We were very fortunate with the lovely weather, a bit exposed (for the north east coast of Scotland), but no real wind to speak of, however I imagine that if there was a bit of a gale howling this site would be very, very exposed indeed.
This is very obviously a 'new' site, with flower beds, wind breaks, etc, all at the 'bedding in' stage, I imagine in a year or two this will be virtually unrecognisable once the bushes and flowers have established themselves. As a result, the site does look a bit like a building site in parts. The touring pitches are all on a wee bit of a slope towards the sea - we needed our chocks to level the van and to stop it rolling forward.
Friendly owners and a warm welcome, can't fault this at all.
Now this is just our opinion and it is the kind of things we like to know about prior to going to a site, so I am not making this review content negative in any way as each person is different with their 'likes and dislikes', but we would have liked to have known the following prior to visiting.
Toilet block very new and totally spotless. Showers are of the push button kind (my pet hate), there are 3 shower cubicles all which share the same floor so if someone is having a shower next to you then their dirty water and your dirty water are running in to each other. Plenty of room, hooks, a wee shelf/seat, etc to get changed. 2 vanity cubicles also, one with a hairdryer. Hubby told me that the men's loos did not have vanity cubicles so if you just wanted a wash and a shave then you had to do this standing at the main sink outside the loos.
The pitches are filled with loose large sized gravel that has not quite bedded down, our jockey wheel sank quite considerably over the 3 nights and it was a wee bit of a struggle to move the van with the mover because of the gravel. Similarly the roads throughout the site are finished with a kind of aggregate - it was impossible to ride any bikes on this at all and as a result ours did not go on their bikes at all over the 3 days as it was just too much of a struggle to pedal over that type of surface. No play area at all on site either, no ball games allowed or an area provided for this, there were tentative noises made by the owners of plans to provide something like this however it was also said that they were not sure where this would be now. This is a bit of a pity, one of the reasons we go away is so that the boys have total freedom to meet up with other kids on site, and a play area or football / ball games area is usually the perfect place for any kids on site to do this. Not being able to just jump on their bikes or meet up with the other kids on the site was a real disappointment for them - there is a small games room on site and a play park about 5 mins away from the site - or a bigger park a short drive away.
No shop on site either - I overheard someone ask at reception if papers could be ordered, this was declined. A wee shop bit in the reception would have been good, maybe just selling essentials, sweets and stuff. There is a fairly good sized Co-Op just outside Anstruther itself.
On the whole I felt that this site was good for older couples or younger families whose children were not quite old enough yet to be allowed to play by themselves, and I imagine in a couple of years the site will have developed so that the surroundings were nicer and not so bleak looking.

Perfect get away! Just spent Easter weekend here and the staff could not be any more helpful! The best shower blocks/toilets we have seen in a while! Our pitch had a superb view over the sea and very short walk to play park, Cellerdyke and Anstruther. We enjoyed various walks along the costal paths to Pittenweem and Crail. There is plenty of choice for places to eat and the harbours are very picturesque. Will definitely be back very soon! Thank you!

Stayed here for the Easter weekend in fabulous but very cold weather. This site is a new site and is a 'work in progress' but the welcome received on Good Friday was of the very highest order - informative, comprehensive and warm. The pitches are large and face the south east to the sea with terrific views and whilst the surfaces are gravel, it is easy to put a rock peg in for the awning. Water and elec at every pitch which are slightly sloping but no problem and no need for levelling blocks. I had forgotten to bring a gas spanner but this was no problem for the site where the father arrived after 5-10 minutes ato assist and nothing seemed to be a problem.
The facilities block is brand new and the toilets are immaculate with underfloor hear to warm the feet in the showers. The views across to the Isle of May are fantastic and even though a bitter east wind was always present during the weekend, this only made for a more bracing experience.
Good open fields adjacent for dog exercising and the Fife Coastal walk is adjacent for short, medium and longer walks to Elie, Crail and further. Every time I saw any of the site owners - mum, dad, daughter and others - there was always a cheery and genuine smile and welcome. Also some of the friendliest fellow caravanners I have met in years with always time to chew the fat whilst walking the dog or going to the showers.
The local town is quaint with a couple of bars, coffee shops and restaurants (we ate at the Have on the Sunday night which was prompt, good and value for money). The local area has loads to do for walkers, tourists and museum goers alike and seemingly a golf course round every corner.
I would definitely recommend this site and can imagine that when it gets fully established - statics amongst the east side and space for about 30 tourers - that it will become very hard to get a booking here.
The drive from the M90 is relatively easy but does meander through a few villages after Kirkcaldy but fine for the competent caravanner. I have marked each section highly although facilities for kids might be slightly limited at present with a good pool room and club room in the facilities building - there is always running about and fresh air as an alternative!Try it now and drink in the wonderful views and atmosphere.
Well done so far and keep up the good start.
