Fantastic site really super clean. The owners have worked hard getting this site beautiful, they have given a lot of thought to everything. Thank you Joe for making our stop over on a charity walk from London to Edinburgh a relaxing couple of days. We loved the music in the toilet block and it was really nice having a chat with you. Lovely friendly family site. 100% recommended.

Really nice well kept site. The shower block and toilets have under floor heating, always clean and tidy with as much hot water as you could wish for. The café at the site entrance is ran by Pauline and Ollie, 2 of the nicest people you could ever meet. The food is of the highest standard at a very reasonable price. All of the pitches (hard standing or grass)are large and there's a beautiful walk around the lake that is on site.

Spent 3 nights camping here at beginning of August 2014.

Having only ever camped at Smeatons Lakes in Newark, I have to say this site has really spoiled us. We will never be able to 'slum it' at Smeatons again!

The site is absolutely spotless. Clean and well maintained throughout. Grass very short, pitches level and clean.

Our pitch was within one of the more secluded, hedged parts, but was large enough for us to fit two medium sized tents, a gazebo and a car without any problems and without being cramped.

Every pitch appears to have running water and at least one electrical hook up.

The toilets and showers are by far the cleanest and best maintained public amenities I have ever seen. Cleaned at least once daily, well lit, heated, and red hot water 24 hours. Also, all pitches seem to be within a 2 minute walking distance of a toilet.

We didn't use the bar on site, or visit the nearby pubs. The on-site cafe is quite nice though with a nice outside seating area, quick and friendly service and a large enough menu for light bites.

The no kids rule means that the site is very quiet and peaceful most of the time, but a little bit of noise doesn't seem to bother anyone either. Only noise we heard was the huge jets going over us to the near by RAF base, but they were only during the day.

All in all I would 100% recommend this site without a second thought. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back at least once or twice next year.

Booked into site for 4 days. Fishing. Been here before. £18 a night now. Facilities are still very good. Bar on site if you want it. Fishing lake very weeded up. Only 50% of lake fishable. Pegs not maintained. Needs a lot of TLC around lake. Couple of fishermen getting weed out on there own initiative. Other than that. No kids. Its a good quite stay. Will return.

We have stayed here many times. It is a very relaxing site with a fantastic shower block. There are now 9o+ pitches and the site facilities cope easily. The site is sectioned off into several areas giving the feeling you are on a small site. The Wheatsheaf and the crossroad pubs are 10 min walks away in opposite directions, both serve good food.

We have and will go back to this site.

What a fantastic site, again we only booked for 3 nights but ended up staying 7.

The best shower facility's I have ever seen, washing machine and dryer for use, beautiful layout very private as trees section plots off. Freindly owners on site bar, local pub at the end of the lane by the canal sorry forgot pubs name, that serve the best pub food we've ever had home made chips were great.

Local tescos 10 mins away never any traffic, it's was a dream to go shopping, and I hate shopping.

We didn't leave site much the weather was hot very hot so lazy days in the sun, BBQ, and relaxing.

All in all a fantastic site 10 out of 10

A large site that manages to be peaceful and practical. Amenities are great toilets, showers and washing facilities also there is free Wi-Fi. There is a lovely lake on site, perfect for an evening stroll. Pub and local station within walking distances 15minutes along the main road. Good value for money.

We have stayed on this adult only site a few times and enjoy its relaxed and easy going atmosphere. We have found the site to be peaceful and despite the lack of rules, everyone is respectful.

All pitches have water and electric which is convenient and the facilities are good, the little café does an excellent breakfast.

This site is in a good location and is good value for money.

Site is good. Water taps on pitch, 16 amp hook up, Laundry and disable toilet. Nice fishing lakes and just up the road to Boston. Pub only a couple of minutes away in Hubberts bridge. Only niggle is that the toilet block is closed for the winter and the only toilets that are open are the ones in the shower rooms. No soap or drying facilities for your hands after using the toilet. Asked why this was and the reply was that paper towels would get damp from the use of the showers (what about the toilet paper, this dos`nt) Can`t understand the logic in this. They said most people take there own soap and towel when going to the toilet. Still a nice quiet place to visit.

Nice secure site( card barrier), lovely clean facilities well looked after with friendly staff. Nice big plots, shade or not take your pick, nice transit site if exploring, handy for Boston. One thing I cannot understand about many sites including this one is Why do we have to have a ramp in the exit roadway to climb to join the main road as it means a hill start when it could and should be nice and flat? Oh, if coming in from A17 Newark then there is a railway crossing that is a right bottleneck if a train is coming, or the road is busy better go in towards Boston from the A52 from Grantham and take a left down the road to the site
