Having visted this site last weekend I have to say this is the most welcoming site I have been to. It is a little gem. Showers were excellent, people very friendly, ground very level. Lovely walks and excellent fishing, very quiet and peaceful. Give it a try.

Having read the other reviews we were a little concerned, but with it being a bank holiday we thought we'd go with it. What a find! I love kids but work in a school so as the touring site has just been made adults only, it was a joy to be there! Yes the ground was muddy, but dried quickly and mud isnt really the fault of the people who run the site.
The facilities were excellent. Private shower rooms with loo and handbasin, a shop and bar on site, a small cafe selling food really reasonably until 9.00 p.m, level pitches, electricity and water to each plot. I could go on and on but the only way is to go and see for yourself. Although please dont because we may not get in when we book again

May 2004 A superb site, well laid out but we were a bit close with it being Bank holiday weekend. I think the owners tried to fit too many in. With a young family this site was excellent. A lovely safe woodern childrens play area and large field for kite flying (excellent recommendation I received!) it can get rather windy. There is a beautiful lake for fishing and loads of wildlife and wildfoul, plus a small pond. Toilet block was brand new and cleaned frequently dispite the mud. The soil is rock hard so when it does rain it tends to flood and if taking a tent or windbreaker I recommend a hammer! There is a club onsite and several shops but as Tesco is only 2 miles away we went there. A great site and we will be visiting again.

November 2003 First thing... Will not be re-visiting this site, especially in the winter.
It was really muddy and there were pot-holes everywhere. Took us ages to decide where to camp, looked like we were gonna sink in some of the pitches. I can handle a bit of mud, but after a week of clay-mud getting into everything it starts to drive you mad...
There were only about 10 vans there but the shower block seemed to be constantly dirty. Partly not being cleaned enough and partly dirty people using them...
I will say that it did have nice hot showers and the toilet block was always warm.
Public transport is not really helpful there. The local train station is only serviced once a day and the last bus back from Boston is 4.30pm, so no chance of going anywhere from Boston for the day.
We wanted to use public transport because the pot-holes were so bad, it just seemed like too much effort to go out in the campervan. Of course, the owner riding his tractor all over the site doesn't make for a flat site.
Wouldn't really recommend in the winter or for those who use public transport. All in all, felt a bit ripped off as it was a bit more expensive than we normally pay and was not as nice as some cheaper places we've stayed.
Just note, shop wasn't open this time of the year and no dryer in the laundrette area. One is located in the static park over the road though...

Late May Bank holiday 03 Thjis is a lovely little site-well littleish. Unfortunaletly the weather had'nt helped much this weekend, lots of rain made the place really quite muddy-but hey thie is England, we're used to rain. A brande new toilet block is just being built, should be finished by the end of June, which will be excellent, as the temporary ones are ok but not great. The owners are very friendly and really helpful. There is a littrle hsop, selling basics such as milk, bread, sweets papers etc.. There is also a little cafe serving brewakfasts and dinners at reasonable prices. There is a small play area for kids and plenty of open space for ball gmaes, kites, general running about etc.. There is a nice club/pub wher familes are very welcome it's very comfortable in there and thers always somebody round to talk to. Boston town is about a 10-15 minute drive up the road, there is also a 24 hour Tesco's about 5 minutes away on the way to Boston. All in all a pretty good site, I will go there again.

The site is located 3 miles from Boston so that means (for you beach lovers) only 25ish miles to good old Skeggie (Skegness to those North of the Border) Orchard park is a 27 acre site with tourers on one side of the road and static vans the other. The tourer site has a 5 acre fishing lake (for those of you who cast a line) and each pitch has electric and water laid on. whilst the site is well drained the trees are still very young so the site can be a bit blowey (more later).
The toilet block is very clean, the showers were hot & free. There is a washing machine etc in the same block. Disabled toilet facilities are also available in the same building. Over the road a small shop sells the basis. There is a Tesco's in 2 miles. The club house has a good atmosphere with everyone being given a warm welcome. Not much equipment for the kids but for the bigger kids (like me) then the prospect of a large open space and lots of wind is just too much not to resist. Out came both the kites and I managed to get around 1 1/2 on each with the larger "Spirit of Air Nexus" (7 foot span) proving to be a real hand-full in the morning breeze.
For those of you looking for a quiet relaxed site from which to venture out into the changing Lincolnshire countryside, from the flat fields around Spalding to the Hills (Wolds) and what appears (to some of Lincs. folk) mountains at Lincoln to some of the best Sandy Beaches on the East Coast, then this is for you
