Unit: Folding Camper.
Negatives:
1. Not enough gents cubicles you may find you have to wait.
Positives:
1. The pitches are spacious and have nice hedges at the back of them.
2. The shared water taps are close by.
3. The showers and toilets are really nice. They are clean, heated, and well thought out. The ladies have a seating area with mirrors and hairdryers and plug sockets for straighteners etc.
4. The play area is really good.
5. The location is fabulous, Padstow is lovely.
6. The walk to Tesco and then to Padstow was a bit further than expected cross country but worth it.
7. The little shop was well stocked, and not exceptionally expensive like some sites.
8. There was a different takeaway visiting site every night.
9. There is a free to use Freezer.
10. The staff were friendly and the site very welcoming, well maintained and cared for.
11. There was a number plate recognition on the entry gate so you could come and go as you please.
12. The site is well worth its stars!
We’d love to go back to this site! My kids didn’t want to leave!

This is by far the best campsite we've been to in the UK. Location is perfect for a walk into Padstow, the amenities are five star, the pitches are a great size, the play area is better than any other, the staff are lovely and the daily food wagons are a delight. Would highly recommend. Already looking for dates for next year.

We stayed here for our New Year break. Friendly, quick check in and lots of local information given, including bus timetables and taxi numbers.
We had a hardstanding pitch with EHU and shared water and waste. It was very wet in and around our pitch but that was obviously due to the terrible weather and not the sites' fault.
Brand new (to us) toilet/shower block close by, housing toilets and 2 privacy cubicles in the ladies, unisex shower rooms (some with sinks) in a separate section, laundry and indoor washing up area. Always very warm and spotlessly clean.
The walk down into Padstow is NOT for the feint hearted. There is a footpath across fields but it wasn't accessible due to the rain so we took our lives in our hands and walked down (twice) via the main road into Padstow. Not recommended if you have kids (or some dogs!).
Lots to do, eat and drink in Padstow. Had 2 lovely meals in our favourite pub, The Harbour Inn.
Taxi costs are 'reasonable'. £8 or £9 (charged by two different firms) one way (back up the hill!) from the harbour to the site. Well worth it to avoid walking on that road! The buses run regularly and they were approx. £2 per person single fare. There's a Tesco just down the road from the site for all your essentials too.

Very well kept & run site with immaculate facilities. The only downside for us was the footpath across fields to Padstow, definitely not one to do after it's been raining! we got covered in mud attempting it, plus, the walk back up from the town is pretty steep.
There needs to be a footpath on the main road along to tesco, it's a very busy fast road & it's not much fun trying to walk on it. There is a bus stop near the entrance though & time tables are available free from the site office (50p from the tourist rip off centre!).

We normally avoid big caravan parks, preferring smaller less formal locations but we wanted to be able to walk to Padstow and this was the closest one that was open in October. However, this was an excellent site. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the pitch was large, level, gravelled and with its own water tap as well as the electric hook-up. The pitches are arranged in a very regimented fashion but with plenty of vegetation for some privacy. The showers and toilets were excellent. The location is very good; not much in the way of spectacular views but it is an easy and quick walk into Padstow and the coast paths and Camel Trail are within easy walking distance.

We stayed here in June last year, but this year we planned to stay a bit later in the year. We were able to specify which pitch we would like when we booked (avoiding school holidays!) Friendly reception staff very helpful on arrival. Site still well maintained and the toilet blocks cleaned regularly, with one block having been refurbed since last year. (the older block with shower curtains is better as your clothes/towels don't get splashed!)
The pitch condition was not as good as last year, probably due to the weather this year, all pitches had large areas of sand where units were were pitched. However, excellent customer care in that while we were erecting our tent, one of the staff came round with large rubber mats to help prevent the sand from getting into the tent. He realised we could do with one more and said he'd come back later - fair game to him, we'd finished setting up and gone into Padstow without seeing him again, but on our return, there was the extra mat in place for us!
Location is great, there is an easy to follow footpath to tesco's and the main drag down the hill into Padstow. The footpath takes about half hour to walk down to the town, a bit longer on the way back as it's uphill, but I gather there are buses if you prefer. (the park and ride 'field' is virtually next door to the site) Other reviewers have mentioned the entrance road and it is looking a little tired, but hardly surprising considering the number of vans and motor homes using it.
Being set back off the road means you don't get traffic noise, and there's no high-level lighting around the site so on the clear evenings you get fabulous starry views.
There are a number of foody vans that come the the site, ranging from fish & chips to wood fired pizzas - a different one each night so if you don't fancy cooking.
There's a small play area for kids, and a dog walking field, plus other nice extras such as the laundry area and the two freezers where you can chill down ice packs at no charge!
The site rules state no noise after 10pm, however it is clear that this isn't policed at all. Some people simply don't realise their voices carry at night, this is both vanners and campers, and some vanners are oblivious that their TV's or heaters can cause noise well past the supposed 10pm quiet time. While there were no rowdy or raucous groups during our stay (they don't like sites without bars or entertainment which is why we chose this one), there was certainly enough noise to mean we needed ear plugs to go to sleep. It is a shame, because all it would take is an occasional stroll around from the staff and a quiet word with some pitches to really help the site achieve its quiet status. We stayed for a week, and there were TV or radio noise every evening from the adjacent vans, and also some larger groups talking very loudly for quite some time, and at no time during the week did anyone 'in-charge' do anything to address this. This is the reason we've given it Very Good and not Excellent.
If you want bar's, restaurants, entertainments etc, then go and stay at one of the many holiday parks nearby. If you want a well maintained quiet site with good customer service, free showers etc, then this site is the one for you!

What can we say about this park that already hasn't been said. We pulled up and the reception staff were really friendly, advised us of our pitch and areas to visit. Told us the way to Padstow, 1/2 hour to 40 mins walk along a public footpath trough fields. The staff advised us that there was a Burrito Van that parked on the car park and that we could place orders from 4 pm, we didn't eat from there as we walked into Padstow and had some fish and chips otherwise we would have tried them. The site was clean and tidy, pitch was flat and the shower block was very modern, unisex and very clean, which was fine with us but it may not appeal to everyone although you are still have your own big cubicle to shower and dress. There were 2 clean and big washing up area's. Our only negative is that we only stayed one night, wished we had spent more but definitely going back for more nights.

There's not a lot to add to the other glowing reviews here.
The site was a real culture shock to what we are generally used to. It is a proper business.
As such it was a little clinical, all near perfect and yes on the face of it that's a good thing.
We went into Padstow which was a decent 40 minute walk, although they say 20-30 mins (perhaps we are slow). The town itself is wonderful, though don't expect anything after 10. 30 - 11pm, it seems to shut down, and God help you if you need a cab, they are like rocking horse doo doo! Just a pure lack of them.
We did'nt have kids with us, but it seemed a very safe and fun place for them.
You won't be disapointed.

This is our 3rd stay at Padstow touring Park and we love it. We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived this year to find that they have updated the smaller facilities block and it is fantastic. There is now a shower room which is perfect for families as it has a shower you can lift off and which you can control the temperature, perfect for our little ones. The site was spotless, as always and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolat from the site shop are gorgeous and we enjoyed sampling some of the food from the visiting vendors. The wild bake pizza and mexican street food were delicious. The site location is fantastic, we visited the nearby bays/beaches which were stunning and it is close to Padstow and a Tesco. We will be visiting again next year!

We have just returned from Padstow touring park, this being our fourth visit in four years. I didn't think they could improve on previous years but the changes made to the toilet blocks are outstanding. The site is clean, well looked after and good playground and dog walking facilities, the staff are friendly and helpful. The walk down to Padstow is very pleasant and Padstow itself is very dog friendly which is a big plus. I would highly recommend this site and will be returning again next year.
