This is the second time we have stayed at the campsite, both times for the Great Yorkshire Show.
Last year we stayed with another couple just for one night with no electric, this year we stayed for four nights midweek with electric.
The campsite is clean and well kept, the toilet block is small but suited our needs, maybe in busier times it could use more facilities. Toilets and showers were always clean. Showers on the small side but were great as they had a separate area for hanging clothes etc.
The only thing I think is missing is a washing up area with hot running water, we had to do our washing up in the toilet block which wasn't always easy.
The site is quiet and the pitch electric pitch sizes are generous, we have a 4 man tent and had plenty of room for wind breaks, tables, car etc. When we stayed last year we had the choice of anywhere to pitch up with no electric.
The owners of the site were extremely friendly and helpful. (We had an issue with our cool box this year, and the owners offered the fridge in the reception along with helping us out with some butter from the farm!)
There is a pub a short walk from the site which was always busy, and very cheap! Although does not serve food.
We will be booking this campsite next year for the Yorkshire Show, if not before for a weekend away with the dog!

This campsite is under new management and is excellent. We were greeted and shown to our pitch and also given a little tour of the site. The site is quiet but family friendly. The facilities are very clean and user friendly, ie there is a shower cubicle so your clothes don't get wet!
We have already booked to go again in July as there is so much to do in walking and cycling distance of this site. You could stay there for a month and always have new walks and things to do. Highly recommend.

Nice clean site within walking distance of Knaresboro and Harrogate (about 2 miles), friendly owners, shower and toilet block kept spotless, could do with extra showers though, only 1 in each plus a family shower room, I imagine it could be very busy at peak times. Good local country pub with large beer garden and some nice walks. Paid £18 per night in september. Dont use a sat nav to find it or you will get stuck down a narrow country lane. Would go back.

We have just arrived home after staying on Bilton Park Village farm in Harrogate. We have had probably one of the most relaxing holiday breaks in quite some time. The Park is very well maintained. We were greeted by the owner on arrival who was very pleasant and helpful. The site is very well maintained. The shower block in immaculate with very good facilities. We will definitely be returning again and again. Simply perfect. The location is ideal for Harrogate and Knaresbrough which is simply a gem of a place. The whole area around the site and towns are immaculately clean and in particular, we noticed the community spirit and mutual respect for everyone is obvious. I can only imagine this area to be a wonderful place to live. Definitely will return.

We Stayed here on a whistle stop tour of the North York Moors. Hired a camper van from Keighley, 45 mins to this small but perfectly formed campsite.
I am a teacher and needed a quiet, relaxing holiday away from screaming children! Bilton Park was the right choice.
It was our first and last stop and we found the site to be perfect!
Quiet, clean and with very helpful staff.
5 minute drive into Harrogate and 10 minutes to Knaresborough.

It didn't feel like a great site for tents. It's overwhelmed by caravans and it looks like a 'car park'. We were also charged more than we were told when we booked. Staff weren't really available much, I suppose it's more for their regular clients with their own caravan/static caravans. Toilet/showers ok. The location isn't very wild and secluded but it's within walking distance from Knaresborough and Harrogate centre. There is a pub nearby but doesn't serve food in the evening. We managed to find a good local fish and chip shop nearby.

We stayed here the end of June. As we only decided to go to Yorkshire in May we couldn't get on Caravan Club sites in the area at weekends so we booked this site for a week. Liked it so much we stayed for two weeks! The site is well maintained and the owner is very helpful. There are 12 concrete hardstandings (very necessary when we were there!) and the rest are on grass.
The pitches have 16A electricity and water and grey waste disposal points are within 50 yds. The sanitary block, though small, as previously described, is kept clean and the showers are the perfect temperature. Rubbish disposal, washing-up sink and washing machine and dryer are all situated in the farm building about 100 yds away. Chemical waste is 50 yds away.
Shops - Coop, great Chinese takeaway, newsagent etc are a mile away. Asda 2 miles in Harrogate.
You can walk to Knaresborough, about two miles away along the footpath from site or along the Nidd Valley Trail.

Plus points - Quiet campsite - a real get-a-way with no on-site bar to distract from the countryside. Chance to pitch anywhere on the tent field though if busier it could have been a problem as no designated pitches.
Personally though, I like the chance to decide where I pitch. Water stand pipe nearby with a drain. Easy cycling distance into Harrogate, though watch for the hill on the return! Nice cycle into Knaresborough along cycle tracks. Pub down the road though didn't visit it - looked nice though.
Minus points - Only one shower each in the ladies and gents, and a combined family room with shower, sink and toilet. Funny smell from the water!? Only two toilets in each gender area but each had a sink. No hooks anywhere to hang stuff and a duck-board outside the shower would have been very useful so you didn't pick up the grass again on your feet!
Very minus point - no hot washing up area attached to the shower block. You had to go through the next caravan field and into the farmyard to a rather dark outhouse. It did have lovely hot water, a washing machine and tumble drier though. Still - for the cost of the pitch I would have expected these facilities to be much closer with more sinks and draining boards. If it had been busy there would have been quite a queue. My husband spoke to the owner who said that the facilitates would be rebuilt at some time so here's hoping they really rethink the design well. I'm always happy to help - wouldn't mind running a camp site myself one day!

As has been said before this is a great site for walking and cycling around the area.
The local pub has a large outdoor area and cheap beer and just a short walk away.
Cycling/walking into Knaresborough is downhill all the way but beware it is all uphill coming back!
The site is clean, tidy, well laid out and well cared for. Very helpful owner - he was kind enough to get us a pint of milk from his home, but there was not much in the way of essentials in the site shop.
The toilet block is fine - a couple more showers a bit more up to date would not go amiss. Only one shower each for m/f and a family room. Could get crowded during busy periods but not so bad when quiet.
All in all a lovely place to stay and we will go back.

Love this site!
Stayed here for the first time in 2009, just for a weekend break with friends, returned 2010 and have just booked again for this year.
Friendly site owner, who is happy to chat about the local area and give you any information you may need.
Large field for tents, with the caravans located along the edge, and statics around the outside perimeter.
There are also chalet type holiday/residential homes, offset from the main camping areas.
There is a small children's play area.
Clean WC's and showers etc.
Pot wash area is just the one sink, but have never had to queue to wash pots up, and there is plenty of hot water.
There's a small site reception/shop, where you can get freezer packs put in the freezer for a small charge, the shop also sells some tinned produce and bare essentials. If the site owner is not around when you need to use the shop, he told us to give him a ring, which we had to do once and he arrived within minutes.
The site is located within walking distance of both Knaresbrough and Harrogate, although the more scenic walk is to Knaresbrough, down a little lane and through woodland, really pretty.
The offsite pub has cheap bear, and can get very busy, not much seating inside. Although very traditional.
We bought fresh eggs from one of the local farms, much better than the ones you get in the supermarket :0)
I cannot wait to stay again this year.
