Loved this site but it now only accepts 2 man tents which is a shame. Facilities and location were perfect as you are right on the beach. Was quite windy but this was no problem. Great walks along the coast and into town. Staff all very friendly and the music in the toilets was a nice touch. Would love to go back hope they change the tent rules

Great scenic location, although the pitches are close together, unless you are in the row next to the sea, you may not be able to see it.
Toilet block and showers clean and lots of hot water, but only 3 showers for this many pitches. I feel that £22 per night is expensive.

The park is immaculate, extremely safe for children playing and cycling, views to die for and you can also keep an eye on your kids from a distance as they explore the rock pools adjacent to where your van is parked.
Showers were excellent and there seemed to be endless hot water, toilets cleans and functional. The staff were particularly helpful allowing late check out on your pitch for a fiver(if nobody else is expected. My family and I will be back in the near future - it's that good.

Stayed here in a 2-man tent on the last weekend in August. Site was busy, tents and caravans, and I have to agree that there is not much room between pitches. Possibly the legal (if there is one) minimum. At this busy period the loos were not as clean as they might have been, but bearing in mind the number of people using them.
For tents this is a very expensive site - £20 per night, reducing to £16 in off-period. We rarely pay this much for our caravan. But the site is popular.
Poorly-stocked shop on site, but Crail is a short walk away, where there is a good butcher and baker.
Nice site, friendly staff, good walks, interesting, rocky beaches. Lots of attractions in the area, including excellent fish & chips in Anstruther.

Beautiful location right on the coast with an easy stroll into the picturesque harbour village of Crail, and immediate access to the rocky beach. On the Fife Coastal path so excellent walks in both directions.
Well appointed toilets, but queues for the relatively small number of showers, and some lights not working.
Small shop with a poor range of goods, but Crail is near enough for this not to be a problem.
Heated pool great - when it's open - kept our ten year old amused anyway. Play area not much to shout about but enough natural play stuff around to keep kids amused.
In balance however, this is not the cheapest of sites, the pitches are very close together and if you are on the row next to the beach you are asked to pitch with your towbar facing the sea. This means that you have to manhandle your caravan round. It also means manhandling it again when departing, and in the event of an emergency there is no quick hitch up and escape.

This is one of the prettiest camp sites we have had the pleasure of using. We are going back this weekend and are really looking forward to it. The view out to sea is lovely, the site is small and friendly with no bar, which is a bonus as it stays nice and quiet. The toilet block is very nice, clean and warm. It is perfect for doing the Fife Coastal Walk as it runs right through the site. Crail itself is a lovely little town which is a delightful 20 minute walk away either by the coastal route or round the country road. We walked from Crail to St Monans last time which takes you through all the little East Neuk villages. Beautiful. Highly recommended.

A very nice (but windy) site with great views over the Firth of Forth. The site rules looked a bit daunting - stating exactly how units should be sited. This is to maximise the distance between vans, but suggests that the pitches are a bit close together.
The single, immaculate, small toilet block has the unusual feature of combining washing / toilet cubicles. This means that they stay occupied longer than usual and could be a problem at peak times.
A path leads from the site past the small beach and well groomed park to Crail itself. The village is a bit 'picture postcard' with an interesting museum, art galleries etc., but few shops.
I chose this site for its proximity to 'Scotland's secret bunker'. I thoroughly recommend a visit to this (and take an audio guide).
Overall, a good site for a short stay, but it is expensive.

Fantastic site must not be missed.
Tourers on sea front looking over to Isle of May.
Toilet block superb. Town is lively and has the most picturesque harbour. Visit in July and see the Crail Festival. Must be booked well in advance but worth every penny. Harbour Cafe good value and cakes great. St Andrews Cheese Farm also worth a visit for its own Ainster Cheese.
Various places to visit St Andrews, Anstruther, Pitenweem.

Visited this site in May 2008, we weren't lucky enough to get front sea view but the vans were sited so you get a decent view over the sea.
The Facilities are immaculate with code entry and the site is kept very clean and tidy. Outdoor pool well kept as well.
You are only a short walk via coastal path to Crail, on the way is a decent childrens playpark.
Rock pools below site, popular with children for crabbing
At either end of the site is the coastal walk, great for walkers.
Considering a seasonal pitch here as it is so good
This is a very quiet tranquil site and ideal for R & R

Just back from 2 nights at this site - our 1st proper camping trip with our 2 year old. Brilliant site - beautiful, clean facilities (heated toilet/shower block, always clean, and playing radio!). Good big sites for pitching tent. V dry grass and pegs went and stayed in really easily. Right by sea - v picturesque. Short walk into beautiful Crail. Altogether perfect.
Was dry when we were there and mostly sunny but quite cold at night with strong wind straight off north sea - one bit of advice take warm clothes and plenty blankets - we were pretty cold the first night and found it hard to sleep.
Our 2nd night fell during bank holiday weekend and campsite was clearly full - recommend advance booking. This was actually a good thing as provided more shelter during night from wind; and noise wasnt a problem - pretty quiet after dark.
Highly recommended and will be back.
