A lovely Loch side setting.
Ample facilities were clean and well maintained. The EHP pitch also had a fresh water tap. Staff were friendly and courteous and keen that you enjoyed your stay.
Slight downside was that the hard standing pitches did not drain well in wet weather. An boy, did it rain! A pity we struggled to see the Loch.

Having travelled through breath-taking mountains, valleys and lochs, what a disappointment on entering this site with its dated ‘Pontin’ style of buildings: - reception, bar, shop, playroom (with badminton), laundry and hairdresser. Friendly enough greeting at reception and offer of additional third night for free, making the £ 25/night more bearable!
Guided the half mile drive through the semi-residential static site complete (with garden gnomes) to the touring area located at bottom of the site. Heart starts to sink further at gravel car park layout for touring pitches (with individual EHU and water), and Port cabin toilet block.
HOWEVER what a splendid location, big open space with fantastic views of Loch Fyne backed by woodland, and on edge of River Douglas. Peace and tranquillity (only handful of tourers and no one in seasonal pitches). Direct water access onto Loch, and an easy three mile walk/bike ride (one mile through wooded pathway by Loch) into pretty Inverary with its fairy tale Castle and gardens. The BOG off offer of 3 for 2 nights stay proved to be a good choice and well worth making.

The approach to the site is through a small town of static mobile homes but the site for touring is separate on the verge of Loch Fyne with great views. It has both hard standing and grass pitches. The hard standing ones had hook-ups and water taps.
The site is more or less level. The toilet block was modest and if the site was busy would struggle to cope with 2 showers, 2 WCs and 3 basins. When we were there there was only one other party! The reception was friendly and helpful. Lots to see and do in Inveraray with the Jail well worth a visit. Good food at the George Hotel.

We stayed on the touring field here, the location of the site is fantastic with a view straight out on to loch fyne, this is definitely what you are paying for. However most of the pitches are on hardcore and very exposed to the weather, snapped a number of pegs putting our awning up both due to the hard ground and strong wind. The facilities are a smartened portakabin, water is very hot however shower cubicles are very small with plastic trays angled against the plug so you get into a pool of cold water from when they were last used, yuck! Also wary of how often they were cleaned, I used the same shower two nights on the trot and the same stands of hair were on the wall both times, squirm! Dishwashing facilities are particularly cramped. This site is really a static park and the touring field feels like it has been added on at the end as an afterthought. The walk into Inveraray is about 2 miles from the site and all on footpaths away from the road, definitely recommend George hotel for meals, they also allow dogs unlike the bar on the campsite. Lovely location but won't be visiting again.

Really well run with very friendly staff. Plenty hot water in showers and dish washing areas and everything nice and clean. The wee bar / diner is good with daily meal deals.
I wish I had asked for pitch nearer the back, where there is grass, as the ones near the front are just gravel the only good thing is it kept everything clean.
Inverary is a nice wee town with a coop for bbq essentials and a few independent shops.Had good lunch at The George hotel some nice beers on tap. Inverary jail is worth a visit. Lovely part of Scotland I will be back.

Very pleasant and welcoming staff, and we were escorted by golf cart to our touring pitch (it's a big site!)
Despite the size, it's separated into various areas with a little landscaping.
The far end of the site (beyond the statics) is effectively a large gravelled car park, but it's neatly laid out and faces directly onto Loch Fyne.
The interesting town of Inveraray is a few miles away, good for a visit, but it's too far to walk if you're looking for a night out.

Stayed here for one night in May. This site is on a lovely spot. We had a hard standing and a good view.
Toilets clean with plenty hot water. On the down side I felt this site was a little tired, lots of large residential caravans and again looking pretty tired.
The hard standing touring pitches were very regimented with little flags with your number on them and the warden was very specific that you parked correctly. If you were touring and wanted to stay longer then I would ask for a grass pitch which were much nicer looking.
There is a bar with pool table and again looking like it needed spruced up a bit. This site was also pretty expensive at £23 a night with hook up, this is the most we have ever paid.
The area of Kintyre and Inverary is beautiful and there are lots of walks and runs in the car to do, there is also Inverary Jail and the Castle to visit and there are loads of good eating places.
Would I go back to this site? No, simply because it is not my cup of tea. Would I go back to this area? yes, loved it.

Just back from this site and absolutely loved it. Nice scenery looking across the loch. Tourer pitches excellent and well laid out. Staff very friendly as is warden
Toilets spotless, plenty hot water and the showers were magic. My boys loved it, they met plenty of pals. No children allowed in bar except for a meal, but pool room is next door for kids with juke box and wee shop for sweets and juice.
Will return no problem

I notice that there has not been a review of this marvellous site for a while. I have been going to this site for many enjoyable years. The site's staff are very friendly, in particular, the warden who will give assistance if you ever require it.
The facilities are second to none, very clean dishwashing area and toilet block that has free showers. The site has a well stocked shop and a small bar where you can have a meal and entertainment.
The site also offers a small swing park for the children near the reception area and an indoor recreational area when the weather is not so good.
Inverary is only 2 miles away and Oban is about 1/2 hours drive away, so is ideal as a base to allow you to visit Mull and Iona. Take the kid's to Tobermory (Ballamory to them), they will enjoy it!

Great facilities, marvellous scenery. A big site with lots of static caravans. Good separate facilities for touring units but no tents allowed.
On site bar, but meals are expensive and barely average.
A strange collection of battered (long term staying) touring caravans at far end of touring field. Well away from visitors but still in view.
Odd really, given the high standards of the site.
Very friendly management and Midges do not like Avon skin so soft cream or spray!
Enjoy your stay and have a meal in the George in town. Great pub, too far to easy walk though. One way is Ok. Get a lift back.
