We really liked this site - lovely and peaceful, beautiful location and the seaside and cliff paths very close by.
Pitches (with EHU) were all grass and it did get a bit wet at times, but we had a fair bit of rain for a couple of days we were here for at the end of April beginning of May.
You can easily walk down to Whitesands Bay, next door field had highland cows (and the cutest baby calves) and there was a lovely herd of Welsh Cobb ponies in the other field. There is a shop with all the usual basics in the caravan site over the road.
Showers etc. Great - typical CC standard.
Whitesands beach is open for dogs until end April after that you can walk further along the cliff path to other coves which do allow dogs after 1st May.
St Davids is a really nice little town -there's the cathedral to visit which is interesting. It has a supermarket, some nice shops and places to have coffees. The Farmers Arms does great food and it's dog friendly.
You can get a bus to and from St Davids to the campsite. We spent a lovely (hot!) day walking the cliff path from Whitesands to St Justinians and then into St Davids and then got the bus back to the campsite (with the dog) from there.
Tenby is very quaint and we took a boat trip (with the dog) to Caldey Island to spend a very peaceful day there.
The Harbour Inn in Solva does nice Sunday lunch and it's dog friendly too.
Nice site - great area to explore.

Stunning scenery, although without sea view.
This campsite seems to attract mostly an older audience with mainly huge & luxurious motorhomes.
The reception closes at 5.30pm - but this is the place, where you get the key for the 24/7 locked toilet/shower-block. I found that a bit odd and inconvenient, as we arrived at 7pm. The other day we've been told, that we should have rang them up - just for the key.
The facilities are exemplary and very clean, the pitch was just perfect. But the atmosphere overall is somewhat overdone with perfectionism.

We have been using this site since April 2006 and have visited the site 4 times since then without complaint.
The site is still well kept and in a stunning location, but, what a difference a change in Wardens can make.
During our stay the toilet block was close for cleaning every day from as early as 10.40am until as late as 1.30pm. The team currently on site come across as distant and very authorative. They are not very welcoming to children and possibly see them as an irritation, and whilst campers are rightly instructed to keep dogs on a leash, theirs is free to roam.
I shall not be revisiting this site until there is a change of wardens.

Spent 6 nights here and the site was fully booked the whole time and I'm not surprised. The reception area is made very pretty with hanging baskets and window boxes. Attention to detail which is carried through to the cleanliness of the facilities. The site is within walking distance (10 mins) of a wonderful beach which has a rather nice cafe in the car park. It's a surfers haven with board hire available on the beach! The views from the coastal path are amazing and we had the good fortune to see a small group of wild ponies playing and grazing. A boat trip (leaflets in info room on site) is recommended but not cheap. All in all, we had a great time and would definitely return if coming back to the area.

Lleithyr Meadow is one of the nicest sites we have ever stayed at, I cant think of anything that we didn't like! The site has the usual high CC standards, the wardens doing an excellent job and the site is not far from immaculate most of the time; spoilt only by inconsiderate use by some members, pitches are all grass and quite large and being sandy are well drained and not a problem for motorhomes. The beach is within walking distance and is one of the nicest in the region, being good for surfing and fishing, walking on the coast path is possible directly from the site, and its great to watch the sun go down over the sea. The shop on the site next door is very good and has nearly everything you need, supermarkets at Haverfordwest but really you can get all you need from St Davids (within walking distance) and the camp shop. Cant wait to return!

Be sure to follow the CC directions to this site as the more direct route through Newgale and Solva is totally unsuitable for towing a caravan. The site is easy to find and is well kept. Toilets are clean and well maintained. Usual CC site standards. Tennis court, play area, badminton nets and boules pitch available on site and the wardens are possibly the friendliest CC wardens I have come across. Camp shop on the adjacent site for those emergencies and a Small supermarket in St Davids. Chip van calls to site a few times a week. Lovely scenic location with Whitesands bay and the Coastal path just down the road. Both Solva and Newgale are within a 20 min drive. The area is very quiet and is a bit isolated if you're looking for the tourist attractions that Pembrokshire has to offer, but otherwise a superb site.

August 2004 Although Ive dated the visit 2004, we go back year on year on my parents caravan. This place really is worth the site fee and the return visits. The whole site is immaculate plentiful showers and loo's are kept immaculately clean and serviced several times a day. There is a small childrens play area and acres of space for the kids to ride their bikes ( Ideal and totally flat for wobbly beginners) No shop but there is a shop at the campsite next door which is very well stocked ( 2 mins walk) and the office sell ice creams. A fish and chip van calls a couple of nights a week for a couple of hours and parks at reception, see the chalkboard for times
Whitesands bay is a short drive or cycle ride down the road and St Davids is s short drive away but both are served by a hopper bus from the end of the road every hour if you dont want to drive and park ( which can be difficult in high season in both places)
Dont miss the speedboat trip round the islands. Its not cheap but if you only do one 'trip' all holiday thats the thing to choose, its fab and you may even catch sight of some dolphins and baby seals! Well worth a visit, were just sad they dont take tents or we would go more often
