We had arrived after a lot of rain had fallen in the previous week, and was worried that the all grass pitch site was going to be slippery and waterlogged.

Was pleasantly surprised to find the ground firm and after more rain it still drained well.

The site is however exposed and it does get windy, but it is flat.

Site facilities are as you would expect but seem small in numbers compared to the number of pitches and people.

The staff were helpful and the info received on arrival and in the info hut was very good, and there is also a book swap cupboard too. And I was pleased with the fact there are still multiple recycling points around the site.

There is an hourly minibus from outside the gate that does a circular route to St Davids and to the beaches and other interesting places, and there are plenty of cycle routes down quiet country lanes to places like Solva and Porth Clais both or which have a nice cafe at the end.

There is also a well stocked shop on the campsite adjacent to this one that sells all essentials.

Would return when this way again

Just perfect. This site lived up to the usual CAMC standards: very clean, good facilities, friendly staff, great location and good value for money, esp compared to lesser quality places that we came across.

There was lots to do nearby: it was pretty close to the lovely St Davids and other local villages. We cycled to Porthgain one day and enjoyed a chippy lunch at The Shed bistro and then coffee n cake on the way home at Perennial Plants.

I also must recommend the Thousand Island trip around Ramsey Island (despite the scary approach pre boarding. My legs were trembling as I walked down the ramp).

Very relaxing and quiet site, well off the beaten track but with a super little minibus service throughout the day, taking passengers to St, David's, the beach and the harbour etc. Very friendly helpful wardens.

Surprising to find the whole site was grass pitches but it wasn't a problem, in fact I think it made the site less formal and more laid back than some can be (where the pristine pebble pitches are all lined up).

Facilities were well looked after as is usual on a CMC site but for a big site such as this it was a pity they were on the edge and not centrally placed.

Enjoyed this site though.

We normally try to book Lleithyr in early October, but the site is closing early this year.

So the wife badgered me into going in September instead.

And royally Badgered we were!

On the first night we were woken by a clatter from the awning. I opened the door to see a badger glaring at me.

It had prized open the electric cooler and helped itself to a pack of Cumberland sausages, a chicken Tikka Masala ready meal, a bag of potato wedges and a pack of gluten free onion rings! The freezer lid was still open.

On the second night I lashed the cool box shut and piled a case of dog food on top. At 0240 a loud thud signalled the dog food hitting the deck. Badger scarpered.

On the third night Badger came, ripped the mud wall of the awning and left muddy paw prints all over the carpet.

He didn't come back after that :)

St. Davids was, as always, wonderful. The respectful muffled peal of the bells at the cathedral, the seal pups hauled up in bays below the coast path, the cries of aerobatic Choughs swooping over the cliffs at Porthgain, and sitting outside the awning contentedly sipping Prosecco watching the sun set over Carn Llidl.

B****r the Badger!

It was all shear bliss.

Good location for walking and cycling. A 20 minute walk into St Davids or catch the circular bus £1. 50 onr trip or £3 all day.

The site is exposed and it does get windy.

There is a shop on the campsite next door that sells all you need, fresh bread and croissants baked daily.

Site facilities are as you would expect but the

Toilets / showers are closed for cleaning at 10 am until 12 a bit early for some.

Good well equipped play area for children.

The wardens seem to be obsessed with grass cutting, the same grass was cut twice in one day in front of our van.

We've been to this site numerous times over the last 10 years. You can't beat its location with brilliant walks, Whitesands Beach and a short cycle, medium walk into the "city" of St Davids.

As you might expect from the Caravan Club the showers and facilities are spotless but the rules are endless! We've had different wardens each time we've been but this last year with the covid regulations just easing they still seemed very nervous. If they don't like how you've pitched they will tell you and watch you while you move it the 30cm they've asked you too 🤦🏼‍♂️

That aside the site is lovely and even when it's full it doesn't feel too busy and there's plenty of green space and a playground for the kids, even if they have to follow the one way system on their bikes (I kid you not!).

Very well run, clean and flat site, with friendly helpful staff.

Close to Whitesands beach (20/30min walk) and close to Carn Llidi (the highest local point with great views on a clear day).

The Wales Coastal path is accessible from Whitesands beach and you can walk out to St. Davids Head (the most westerly point of Wales). St. Davids cathedral and city centre is 40/50 min walk.

Large toilet and shower block which is well maintained {Note : this is closed daily from 10am to 11. 45am for cleaning which can be inconvenient).

Well maintained children's playground on site. There is a shop on the site next door which sells bread, milk etc. And selected local produce.

There is a local bus service (mini-bus) which visits all the local areas (£1. 50 per journey)

We arrived on first day of opening after Covid lockdown (Wales being a few days behind England). Very efficient check-in with Covid procedures in place. Can't comment on toilet block as these were closed under Welsh rules for a further two weeks but had to give a rating so gave a neutral 5.

Nice stroll down to Whitesands beach where there is cafe and toilets. Steep road to climb back up to site though. Couple of miles from St. Davids but not much happening there due to Covid restrictions, only a couple of shops open and it was raining!

Just returned from 4 great days at this site. Great views, walks around St Davids Head lovely sandy cove out there we could swim with our dogs. Lovely family beach 10 minutes walk down the road, lots of cycle friendly lanes around.

Shower block up to usual club standards, small play park for younger kids but no where for ball games, small dog pit stop ideal for early morning/last thing at night. Cathedral and Bishops Palace worth a visit.

Small supermarket in St Davids which should cover most needs and not bad prices given the location. Throw in some sunshine (which we had) you can have a great holiday here. Oh and if you're lucky you might see dolpins from st Davids Head.
