Staff were very helpful we were given a map and a number for our touring pitch all numbers were not on pitches so it was a process of elimination finding your pitch. Once found it thought it could have been cleared of litter as there was a fridge dumped in the bushes. Toilet and shower facilities were not too bad. Generally we thought that the campsite was run down, static caravan near the children's play area with windows through and furniture in not very impressive and not cornered off. The grounds weren't very well maintained. On the day of our departure got stuck in the mud bath of a pitch.

August 2005 Stayed at this site in a tent over the August bank holiday weekend. Didn't need to book and had no problem finding a space as a massive site. Campsite a bit run down but the people were very friendly on the site. Tiolet/shower block in need of good clean but made do with what we had. Used the pool which was very busy with being a bank holiday but the kids enjoyed it. Ideal site if you have small children as loads of space for them to run around. No problem sleeping as the touring area well out of the way of entertainment areas. Had a good weekend even though weather wasn't brilliant but this is England!

August 2005 i stayed here with my 3 boys, in our large tent, it cost £16 a night, including my dog (and she is usually the expensive one) The only extra I paid was for the swimming passes at £3 each, but they were well used in the indoor pool.
Toilets and showers where clean enough, dish washing area, chem toilet disposal, and water are all in the same area only a short walk from any of the camping area.
The beach was just out of the main gates, but we only went off site 1 day to visit a friend, I liked the fact I didnt have to go off site to keep the kids happy, which i usualy do on other sites.
The hiring of carts, bikes, gold clubs and other things, were very cheap.
The staff were very friendly at all times and the shop was very cheap when compared to other camp site shops, and stocked nearly everything you needed, and the shopkeepers who informed me that they had only took over this year, where also very friendly.
It didnt bother me that everywhere was no smoking ( and i am a smoker ) it made a change to sit in a clean atmosphere.
The only thing i could complain about is the set up of the camping area, a lot of people where pitched over 2 spaces, which made it harder to find a spot with electric (which is no extra), maybe they could mark each area.
The only other thing i can say is, I will be going back again, and have already recommended the site to a friend.
I know people all have different tastes, so if you do decide to go, I hope you enjoy yourself as much as we did...

March 2005 4 day easter break in two bedroomed chalet. The chalet was clean, well equiped and fairly recently refitted. Many of the chalets were being refitted whilst we where there. They are much much better inside than they looked from the outside.
The entertainment in the family bar was good. A big plus for the family bars is the no smoking policy, something which the site should be congratulated for. Pool clean, shop OK. Kids club ok, if not a little chaotic when full. Indoor soft play area was good (open outside of kids club hours)£1/hr. The animal farm has seen better days. The kids train was not running and the guy at the farm said it has a broken axel and was doubtful it would ever run again.
To sum up, some areas of the park need a tidy up, but the main complex is ok. We would visit again to make use of the pool and Non smoking family bars and entertainment.
Silloth has a wide prom, good for a leisurly stroll or off-road cycle. The pub next to the church in Silloth has a tea room upstairs which is non smoking and does excellent food.

April 2005 Been to this holiday camp for the last 4 days. Caravan 1st class. Site surrounds 2nd rate. Entertainment passable. But couldn't spend all my time with my wife in bars as they are all non smoking. I think we should have been told beforehand to give us a choice. Lots of people standing outside for a cigarette. So if you smoke it is really a no go area.

December 2004 I stayed in this Holiday Camp over the New Year Holiday from the 29/12/04 to the 03/01/05. I really enjoyed my visit, staying in a two bedroom Shalley which was very comfortable, clean and well laid out.
The Facilities of the Camp were excellent with the Indoor Swimming Pool which was very pleasent, Sauna and Jacuzzi were also nice. The Nag's Head bar one of the three bar areas there was the only one open over this holiday but the Entertainment provided was excellent and the staff were pleased to help.
Overall an excellent Holiday and I would recommend this site to anybody.

August 2004 Came back from this site yesterday having to cut our holiday short due to bad drainage. Although it was fine and hot during the day the ground could not cope with the rain that came overnight, every morning it got wetter and muddier. The site is quite run down and is in urgent need of a facelift. The whole place is scruffy. You have to pay £3 per person for passes to go into the pool and club. We never used the pool and only had to show our passes on a Saturday night. Entertainement is poor. There is no charge for the passes at their sister site Beacon Fell! Site shop sells everything you don't need and nothing you do need and it doesn't sell alchohol. The nearest shop is the co-op about a mile away. would not go to this site again, it apparently used to be an airfield with a bit of top soil thrown on top. silloth itself is very nice though

May 2004 Me and the wife spent 3 nights here, it's mainly for families, lots of things for the kids but it's spread over a big area. The touring park is at the far end of the site well away from the main facilites - bars, pub, restraunt, swiming pool, kids play area. Concidering it was only £9 a night with elec hook up it's quite cheap although I think tourers had to pay to get in the indoor pool.
Only problem I had was when I booked in I was told to go sraight up beside the tennis courts and find my own pitch, as I hadn't been before I found 1 pitch hooked up then went looking for toilet block and found out I was in the wrong field, but I decided to stop where I was as it was a Bank Holiday. It started to get busy then about 9 oclock a caravan pulled in, I could see he didn't know where he was so I parked him next to me as there was a spare hookup - he had to book in in the pub and was told to find his own pitch in the dark.
Toilets and showers were ok - (seen worse).
