Lovely site, well laid out and excellent size pitches with tap and electric hook up. The staff on the bar were very friendly and let us select any pitch.
Showers were hot and great size cubicles, vey clean.
And a +++ for location, down the footpath to the beach.
A great week would recommend this site and definitely go again due to ease of visiting so many other places.

We enjoyed our stay at Beach View. The proximity to the beach and the variety of walks for the dogs made it particularly attractive for us. We found the sanitary block fine and our pitch near the 'front' was okay, though rather exposed to the very strong winds that we experienced. There are pitches on the periphery of the site which would have offered more shelter, but they are a bit of a hike from the toilets.
My one grouse would be the grey-water draining facilities, which involve lifting up a large 'manhole cover' next to the chemical toilet disposal and standing over a foul-smelling pit while draining your wastemaster.
We didn't take advantage of the site bar, but had an adequate evening meal in the very 1980's Vulcan Arms. The 'Sizewell Tea' cafe is great for lunch or a cup of tea/coffee.

Very happy with this site right next to the Beach, good clean Toilet / shower block, nice friendly site and owners, spacious pitch with electric hook up, dogs welcome, good walking area, I go out and about all day so didn't drink in the bar at the Campsite or at the Vulcan Arms which is a 10 minute walk along the Beach. I'll definitely be back.
Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

This was our 2nd time away in our caravan. The arrival at the site was very nice by a happy chappy who was more than happy to direct us to the check in area. Once we had checked in it was time for the challenge of setting up the caravan with 3 young children. As people with children can appreciate setting up an awning and caravan with 3 excited children can be really challenging.
The shower and welfare facilities were extremely well maintained and were very welcoming. The lady on the reception desk informed us that there was a room with a small bath for children which was very handy rather than using the general shower block to wash our toddler. We had my parents come and stay for a night and they were very impressed with the facilities as they used to caravan some 20years ago.
The beach was a short walk which is specifically for the residents of the campsite. This was ideal as the pushchair was not required for our youngest child. The beach was quite stony however this was not that much of an issue as a good blanket and a pair of crocs soon solves all the issues.
We didn't have anything to eat or drink at the club house other than an ice cream whilst on the beach as we were always out and about checking out the local areas such as castles, crabbing, walks along the piers, boating at the meare, visiting Lowestoft, etc.
The holiday was really good fun right from the setup to the wrapping up of the caravan. We were on site for a total of 9 days should have been 10 but we cut short by a day due to the weather forecast that predicted heavy rain.
We shall definitely be returning next year along with some friends with children so thanks for a great stay and see you next time we visit.

Didn't like this site much. It was expensive. £25 per pitch PLUS extra per person, per dog, per awning, per gazebo. The facilities were fair and clean but the bar/clubhouse was very limited. Not much choice drinks wise.
Nice view of the beach though. Luckily we had the best day of the year 04/07/15. So the sea was fabulous and choppy enough to bodyboard. Kids loved that. Beach all stones, no sand so difficult for our dog to walk.
If it wasn't for the weather this would have been a bit of a washout as there is not much else to do on this site and being a motorhome, we tend not to go offsite. Would be better in a caravan as you could go offsite in the car. Will not go back there.

Spent a few days here early in the season so the site was fairly empty. Clean well looked after site with spaces pitches and modern facilities. The site was in the shadow of Sizewell which I knew before I booked but to be honest detracted nothing from the site, which was a short step from the sea. There is a cafe -bar on site with limited opening hours which we didn't use. The area has got some areas worth visiting and with Leiston close by shops etc. We had a drink and a meal in the nearby (walk-able) Vulcan Inn which offered a fair menu selection and decent ales.

Had a great few days here, spotless toilets a well laid out and immaculate site.
The one criticism I will have is the amount of codes required for the relevant doors for using the facilities. Yes I know it is for security but if you were caught short and could not remember the code for the right door it could of been embarrassing.
It is not so child friendly with no play areas on site, but the beach is a stones throw from the site.
I will be back

I know the weather always helps (especially when in a tent) but we didn't want to leave. The pitches are level, generous and well marked out. The toilet block is amongst the best we've ever used and there are indoor and outdoor pot washing areas.
All this, and we could see the sea from our tent and hear the waves crash on the clean pebble beach.
We cycled along heathland tracks to Thorpness and on to Aldburgh.
Just a great weekend and campsite. Will definitely return, hopefully many times.

If you are looking for the the best seascape that any site can offer, this is for you. We were given a fully serviced pitched perched above the sea with great dog walks along the beach towards Thorpeness or take the high road along the hill tops that winds through wooded copses - either way, it's one the best dog-walking sites there is.
The toilet block was clean and adequate although It seemed to get a little congested at weekends and the complicated entry code didn't help those in urgent need. If criticism there is it can only be that the site would benefit from a second toilet block at the far end.
The site is well spaced out with plenty of privacy in the big areas between units - not like other sites that squeeze you into impossibly small spaces.
The cafe bar - cleverly shielded by plate glass screens - gave a relaxing place to enjoy a beer and a snack, with friendly and helpful staff on hand.
We are a big unit (American fifth wheel) but our pitch easily accommodated the whole length, even without unhitching the tow truck.
A site to log as a favourite in your sat nav but don't let it bring you through the narrow roads from Saxmundham -take the route past the Cake and Ale campsite, it's quicker and far easier.

We found this site to be very clean and dog friendly, toilet blocks were nice and fresh with generous pitch sizes the only thing it's lacking is a play area for children but being so close to the beach it made up for it. The site does have a few rules but for our visit they didn’t seem to be policing them.
