Only stayed one night as catching ferry to Ullapool. Site was fine, had all the facilities needed for one night.
Only two showers in the ladies however this was not a problem but not sure what it would have been like if site was busy.
We were parked on a hard standing pitch and there was plenty of room. There was an area for an awning however grass was very long and needed cut.
We walked into Stornaway which took about 20 minutes.

Nice little site all clean and well presented. There are 2 areas for motorhomes and caravans. One is a gravel car park and the other is about 5 hard standing pitches with grass which have a view over Stornaway.
Taxis into Stornaway are easy to get and about £5 each way. Most pubs in Stornaway are dog friendly.
The only negative we had about this site was the dogs on an adjoining small holding started barking early in the morning and went on most the day from what we heard and this became rather irritating.

We spent 6 nights here from 15th May in glorious weather! Ideal location on the outskirts of Stornaway looking towards the sea.
Very tidy and clean site with very good facilities. Some pitches are a little tight for a touring caravans when manoeuvring.
WiFi on site at very reasonable charge of £5 per week! Site fee was £20 p/night all inclusive. An acceptable rate! Staff very friendly and helpful!

This site was the last in our Outer Hebridean tour and was a return to 'city' life, with all facilities. It is conveniently placed for the north of Lewis and we had three great days travelling around this marvellous region.
The standings and sanitaries on the site were fine, and coped with a busy group of youngsters on some expedition or other.
The museum in Stornaway was good, but the Arts centre staff found it hard to motivate themselves to serve you, (it did'nt seem to do breakfast).
We had arrived in Tarbert, (Harris is wonderful), and drove on the Golden Road and looked on the beaches. In retrospect, we should have camped at least 1 night in Harris before travelling to Lewis.

We stayed one night. Three Adults one over seventy. The Park itself was well designed and thought had gone into footpaths/driveways etc and catering for a motorhome. That is a suitable area to park.
The hook up for the motorhome worked and thought had gone into obtaining and dispensing with water. However, could have been better signed posted.
The block which housed the toilet/shower etc was a short distance up stairs. This block was cold. The block was also not clean there was dirt and grime. No one would want to shower. It was also very dark.

Arrived on site to a friendly welcome from the owner. The site is a couple of miles out of Stornaway town up a hill with views NE over the surrounding countryside and Loch a Tuath.
The site has 4 static vans at the rear: 5 dedicated hardstandings for motorhomes (up to 6m): gravel hardstandings for caravans and larger motorhomes: a large swathe of grass for tents (part level/ part sloping): and a bunkhouse.
The facilities are contained in a fairly new purpose built amenity block with WCs, Showers, Wash Up, Washing Machines(£3) and Gas Drier (50p per 10 minutes). Fresh Water is available at 2 taps and there is a CDP and Grey Water dump for motorhomes. WiFi is available on site (£3).
The facilities were cleaned regularly and there was oodles of scalding hot water available. There is no longer a separate charge for the showers. The is a free hair drier in the Ladies.
We felt that the charge per night was good value for money and comparable to a similar standard of site anywhere in the UK. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 3 nights here.
Check out the beaches nearby - they are mind blowing!

Ignore all moans and groans. This is a lovely site with lovely views. Reasonably priced with more than adequate facilities and lots of hot water.
Great place to catch up on the washing. Didn't take long to dry on the line provided (very helpful touch}.
Nice easy walk into Stornaway where there is a Co-op and a Tesco. There is some lovely walking to do around the grounds of Lews Castle.
My only gripe is that on arrival there was no-one available at reception and it took some time and a couple of telephone calls to contact anyone. Having said this, once we spoke to someone on the phone, we were given very good instructions about where to park and how to pay when ready.
We only intended staying two days but ended up staying for five days.

If you need a site close to the ferry terminal for one night this is okay. Motorhomes park up in the car park with the access road running through the middle and there isn't a 6 metre rule. Quite noisy up until midnight during our stay.
Showers and 'pot wash' facilities very luke warm water at best. No help or direction when parking up. Laundry facilities were okay, but expensive. If in a motorhome would advise against filling up as the fresh water tastes stale and required severe treatment with some 'milton' to clean out.
Supermarkets etc. Close by and parking at the Co-op excellent for m-homes.
Value for money - not really!

A friendly welcome but the site is very cramped with motorhomes, static caravans and tents all overlooking each other and very close together.
The hard standing area is like a car park and is loose stones and so there is a constant crunch crunch as people walk backwards and forwards to the toilets which doesn't sound like too much of a problem - until you have been listening to it all hours of the day and night.
Toilet block was clean but water was cold. There was a never ending array of signs telling you what not to do (limit your shower to 10 minutes, wash up using the bowls provided etc) which felt like we were constantly being nagged as most of them were totally unnecessary.
We had friends who were also on site with us in a tent and they were unable to find any level pitches.
Things did liven up when the Celt fest was on which was really good but after 3 nights at this venue we were more than pleased to be leaving.
This is probably an ok site if you need a stop over for the ferry but other than that I wouldn't recommend it.

We liked it here because of the relaxed and friendly nature of the site.
The motorhome area is like a car park and has no views. Our door opened directly onto a roadway which was not ideal when travelling with a small child, even though it was usually quiet. There's no play area.
The tent area sloped but had nicer views. The wifi was only £3 a night and that felt good after weeks of deprivation!
The toilet blocks were tidy and well appointed. Showers were cold in the morning; stone cold at the reception block and lukewarm in the solar heated block - I was told by a fellow camper they were warmer in the afternoon.
The site is well placed for the ferry terminal. Oh and the laundry facilities were sublime after days of grubbiness - and there's a good communal drying area too.
