Stayed here as a last minute decision for somewhere not far from the Prince of Wales pub (great place to visit by the way if you get a chance)
Arrived Sat night after a particularly bad storm the night before, only to find the weather gorgeous and only one other couple in the place (I think the other reviews had put people off).
Lovely and quiet (the construction works ceases at the weekend)
United Utilities have taken over one of the fields for a while to re-route the lovely stream whilst de-commissioning the reservoir. The owners don't have any choice about this unfortunately.
Not particularly child friendly at the moment due to the works, but good for dogs (as long as they don't worry the sheep !)
The location is just beautiful - the valley the farm sits in is just field after field with lovely views.
We got used to the trickle of the stream - it was so quiet we could hear it - lovely
Bit of a difficult hill getting in and out of the farm but well worth it.
The owners are lovely and friendly - best to plan if you wanted some eggs/milk/bread as mentioned though - tends to be for larger groups
The facilities were basic but adequate and clean (free also) but take a torch at night as it's so dark around. Camp fires are welcome.
There are no extra facilities here - it's basic but good and clean. Wonderful place to get away from it all.
All in all had a great time - stayed an extra night as well as we liked it so much - will be going again

When we arrived we were surprised to find building/dam work taking place in the next field. This almost put us off staying but after speaking to the owner, and being reassured that it would not be that noisy, we decided to give it a go. We were not bothered by the work at all, very low key whilst we were there. The location is lovely and if you enjoy building your own camp fires it is great. As we were the only ones there, our three children had the run of the whole field and enjoyed seeing the sheep and cows and the little stream. A pair of earplugs is highly recommended for a peaceful nights sleep. The toilets and showers are up a slight hill and are a simple portaloo type thing - all new and clean but very basic. The only downside to our stay was being charged more than stated on the website. We were told online and over the phone that it was £6 per adult and children were free. When I paid the farmer he said the website was not up to date and it was now £3 per child. We paid £21 for the night, when we were expecting to pay just £12.

Visited this site on a Bank holiday weekend. Owners very friendly and sold us some milk although they are no longer dairy farmers. Views were lovely from site and it was idyllic when we arrived. Unfortunately groups are allowed and loud music played until late into the night, 3 different styles from different groups! Probably better on a quieter weekend. The facilities are in a portacabin and were kept clean although they were fairly basic, but the shower was good pressure, hot and free. A nearby reservoir was being dismantled so one area was a bit of a builders yard at the moment but workmen will presumably tidy up when gone.

On arrival we thought we'd arrived at a building site. Then we realised we had. Major work was being carried out in the next field and the area looked awful. Certainly nothing like the pictures suggested.
The field seemed fairly flat but as we were so disappointed with the 'view' we turned round and left. Can not comment on the facilities as we didn't use them.
Please check with the owners before booking to see if work finished. On a positive, the owners were very helpful before hand and communicated well via email.

Stayed for one night and considering it is a new site it was fantastic. There's a lovely little stream that runs along the bottom of the site. You can have camp fires which is a bonus.
The showers and toilets are adequate for the size of the camp site and were kept very clean.
The owners were very helpful, as the farm shop was not open yet they got me eggs from the local farm for me, extremely kind of them.
Also close to the coast with nice coastal walks.
All round very enjoyable stay.
