What a fantastic find.
This site is amazing. We stayed on pitch no 3. We had our own enchanted pathway that led us to the Fishponds next door. There are 3 toilets and 2 showers all housed in a lovely clean and modern building close to all the pitches. The site itself is small and very well kept. There are wooden animal sculptures all around the site and the view to the Malvern hills is lovely.
We were met by Patricia on arrival who was lovely, friendly and informative. We settled in nicely and wandered over to the Fishponds which are looked after by Mark and Blue (Marks adorable dog). Mark was really friendly and easy going. He has worked hard on his land and it shows. This is a fantastic site for fishing, walking or taking lots of photographs (as I did) or even try your hand at sketching and painting.
Wildlife was in abundance. We were only here for 2 days and we saw voles, a toad, coots, heron, 2 kingfishers together (1 carrying fish), pond skimmers to name but a few. At night we heard 2 different types of owls. We saw a plethora of stars and a huge full moon.
We were the only ones at the site as the weather was bad, but we really enjoyed our time here. We were made to feel very welcome by Patricia, Mark and Blue. They could not do enough for us. They even gave my husband maggots free of charge as he did not have any. On our last day Mark gave us a stunning picture of trees at his fishpond.
I cannot speak highly enough of this amazing site we will be going back in a few weeks and we will both be fishing this time. It will be the first time we have gone back to the same site that is how good this site is.

Found this site via UK Campsite and booked for a weekend. Near to home and contact with owner was fantastic. Patricia met us on arrival and showed us around and said to ring if we needed anything.
We were able to choose our pitch (only 4 on site) and it was a very tranquil site, adults only and very peaceful. Patricia came to see us off. We will definitely stay again. Plenty of walks around and cycling routes. There are plenty of statues that have been carved out around the site.

The Fishponds campsite was a great find in the Malverns, and we highly recommend it. They should charge more. So what did we like about it?
Hostess, Partricia, warm and friendly
Adults only site
Pets allowed
Lovely, peaceful, relaxing setting
Only four pegs, so not a big site
Good clean shower/toilet block with 3 toilets and 2 electric Caradon Mira showers cubicles
Lovely walk to Colwell village
If you like fishing there is a lovely lake within 50 yards. The owner, Mark, described it as a challenging fishing which I was glad about - I had a few bream and a couple of small tench over 5-6 hrs, and a chap across me did too, and is a regular visitor. Sunday's is match day. By the way tea and coffee is free. Recommend this fishing venue. You might even see the kingfishers.
