Spent 4 days here over the bank holiday. Arrived at midday, a warm welcome from the friendly staff. Given a nice pitch with electric, on the outer side / next to the Chadlington Rd. Toilet /shower block, although of the "older type" very clean and tidy, no complaints there. The site shop sells the basic items as you would expect. Chipping Norton is about 1.5 miles away with plenty of FREE parking. Numerous pubs and a nice variety of shops. Ate twice in The Blue Boar public house, good food /real ales/very reasonable prices. To sum up, a good choice to base yourself to tour the Cotswolds.

We spent 4 nights (Fri-Tues) here last weekend with 2 adults and 2 kids (5 & 3) in a trailer tent. The site is split into 2 areas; the larger lower field where there are EHUs available and a smaller 'corridor' field with no EHUs. Here's my review: PROs: - Easy to find from the directions in the CCC book and well signposted on the roads. - Very well presented entrance/reception area - Staff are very friendly and had my note from my booking about wanting as flat a pitch as possible. They took me round the site looking for the flattest pitch to accommodate my TT and I eventually chose one past the toilet block on the right (more about this below!) - Site is a great base from which to explore the Cotswolds - Chipping Norton is 3 minutes down the road, Bourton, Moreton and Stow are only 15-20 minutes away and it's only 25 minutes to Woodstock and Blenheim Palace (£46 for a family of 4 - are they taking the p***!?!) CONs: - despite having a good look around, there weren't that many flat pitches - for a TT of 5m x 7.7m anyway. Unfortunately, the flattest pitches were in the top field without EHUs. - the site has got a septic tank. And it stank the place out all Saturday afternoon and evening, and for several other periods during the weekend. It wasn't pleasant. The only other thing that bugged us was down to our own naivety. We chose a pitch on the lower right hand side of the lower field past the toilets which - not having got my bearings quick enough - was 5m from the A361! Now this road probably isn't that busy but it just seems that way when you're in a TT or tent as it can be very loud. Caravans should be alright though. Like I said, this wasn't down to the wardens or managers, just my ignorance of the surroundings.

Nice site in a great location. Nearby pub is just under a mile and a half away (pleasant 25 mins walk) in Chadlington - first turning on the right when you walk to the village, down Mill End! It’s called the Tite Inn and serves good food and a good selection of real ales, lovely pub well worth a visit.
Visited the site in August. Very busy, lots of kids, but just enough space and facilities which were clean. Cost us £20 for one night due to non-member high season fee!
Would visit again and hopefully soon. Thanks!

Visited over the May bank holiday week-end and the site was extremely busy. There is a large field which we were in and a smaller field the other side of the wall where the children's park is located (climbing frame and a couple of swings). There was some noise from the busy road which runs alongside the campsite but it didn't really bother us although it may have done if we had been right next to the road. There's a very nice woodland walk across the road from the site which was quite pleasant and a small dog walk too. It's about 20 minutes from Boughton-on-the-water which is a very pretty riverside village. One criticism, was the site was very badly signposted. The camping sign was situated in the trees right on the turning, which we missed completely and had to carry on until we could turn around several miles down the road! Other than this not a bad site and we would return again.

We really enjoyed our stay on this site. The facilities were clean and hot showers were free! The children enjoyed the small play park and there were lots of other children there for them to play with. We were in a second smaller field which was mostly tents, Some of the pitches weren't very deep so you could have had problems in a large tent. the caravans on the main field seemed crowded in but we had plenty of space on our pitch. The wardens were friendly and helpful and noise was minimal. I think the other field may have been noisier as they were close to the main road. We would definitely return to this site.

We had a lovely long weekend here. Campsite was very tidy and facilities were very clean and cleaned daily. Shop and children's' play area were both a bit small. Tents are mostly in the rear field and the 6 metre rule was not generally obeyed! There is a main road running along one side but it was not busy and didn't bother us in our location on site. In fact the site was relatively quiet. Location is great for adults with lots of nice towns and cultural places to visit but younger children may prefer sites nearer the coast! I would recommend this site to older campers or to families who can make their own entertainment.

Arrived too early 11am! on Saturday. Nice site but could do with just tidying up a bit. Reading last years reviews sounds as though they haven't done much. Toilets still need up dating, the grassed areas need more grass! The path into the tented area is a muddy track. Doesn't appear to be any order, caravans and tents are all over the place. We had a bunch of teenagers who decided to play loud music in their car till late.No one came round to check everything was okay. Considering it's C&C site we were very surprised.Shop was very sparse, it all seemed a bit hit and miss like the site.

Initially I thought the campsite a bit small, and the camping field cramped (we had trouble finding space for our (large) tent). However, the size meant my 4 year old didn't get lost and was never far away, and it wasn't too far to go to the toilet block (which was always clean and tidy), so I ended up thinking cosy instead.
They also had a nice playarea, although they could do with somewhere for kids to play football.

Just got back from a weekend at this site. Site was in good condition loos and showers were clean if not the most modern. Wardens on the site tolerated the children rather than welcomed them, but no great issue. Generally this is a nice site with good access to the Cotswolds. Try to avoid the pitches on the right hand side of the site as these back on to the very noisy A361 and if you are used to quiet at night this may be a problem. Top field is not good if you have children as although it is close to the small park the depth of the pitches puts your child in the road if you have a larger unit. So overall we had a great weekend, just not sure if I would return to the site as it felt like it was geared more towards older clientel and not families.

Just visited prior to the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. Owners: Friendly, Helpful, cheerful Warden Access: Easy into site..very muddy into tent field Pitch: Nice and flat...not too Hard...boring run way strip for the campers, right next to the road as well!
Facilities: Dated, rather grubby for our taste. Location: Not very pretty, and you are reasonably squeezed in, but some good places to visit near by!
Opinion: As usual, the better pitches seem to go to the caravan owners. I am disappointed with the C&CC as all of the sites that we have visited so far seem to be nothing more than "Butlin's" for campers.
Too noisy, too many people, too many kids, not relaxing enough and tired, dated facilities.....but nice owners, and not bad location!
