Visited this site during the 1st 2 weeks of July and had an excellent holiday. We rang to book well in advance as our tent exceeded the pitch sizes, we were told "no problem, they could accomodate us". Upon arrival they put us in a corner plot which meant there was lots of room for our rather large tent. The site managers and assistants were very helpful and friendly and the whole site had a lovely relaxed feel to it.
This is a very peaceful site, lovely views, good for spotting buzzards and kites. Facilities were always clean, showers in full working order (though a little warm for my liking!)
Nearest resort is New Quay which is a lovely harbour town, nice clean beaches and wonderful ice-cream! My children thoroughly enjoyed staying here as did we, we would definitely go back again to this site.

August 2004 I must agree with ALL the above comments. 1st camping holiday ever for me (family of 5) unfortunately we only booked 1 week!. Feel we have been spoilt, this site has set a president for others we visit (see Mablethorpe, Leisure Lakes, Royal Umpire). Explained when booking we were new at this and they said they would look out for us...they did! A vehicle was patrolling the site in the middle of a night in a thunder storm.
Very peaceful and roomy site, excellent for chilling out daytime and evening. Play area for children , safe and in view of all pitches. Seperate playfield for kites, ball games, frizbies, basket ball etc.Good base for sightseeing, harbours and beach coves. The service received showed pride in their work.
Only grumble - only 1 out of 3 showers working properly in Ladies - I believe the gents were similar. Would definitely re-visit - 2 weeks next time!
I don't think anyone could be dissapointed if they visited this site. NOTE: Dishwashing facilities were indoors and outdoors so facilities could still be used whilst cleaning in operation. Also Disabled facilities (toilet only) was allowed to be used whilst toilet block closed for cleaning.

June 2004 We visited this site last week (May) in what was a fairly busy week with the Bank holiday. I can't understand why this site has not got more reviews.
We found this to be one of the friendliest sites that we encountered. The site is operated by the Camping and Caravanning Club site which is one of around 90 that they own/manage directly. If this is typical of their standard then I'am impressed.
The site has a small shop and the usual chemical waste, drinking water taps, etc that you would expect and very clean (spotless in fact) toilets and showers. It is obvious that they take pride in the site, the grass being well tended and the walkways and borders without any trace of litter or fault.
We couldn't get an electric hook up on the day due to not having booked in advance and the fact that all the hook ups were taken but this shouldn't be a problem if you book a day or so before you arrive. It cost us £12 for two adults and 2 kids.
This is an idyllic and secluded caravan park in beautiful countryside surroundings and about 2 miles from the tourist resort of Newquay.
There is not much in the way of any entertainment or services other than the shop which caters for basic needs and has gas cylinders etc but then this was also one of the cheapest sites that we visited.
What really does it for this site is the enthusiasm, smiling faces and good humour of the people who run it on behalf of the Caravanning Club. That alone makes it a good place to stay.
When you drive to Newquay park in the car park just outside the village on the right hand side and walk down to the harbour. Traffic can be quite congested by the harbour front.
Take a trip on the 'red boat' its cheap and cheerful for an hours boat ride and the kids will love it. Seals, sometimes dolphins and a host of sea birds can be seen as you pass by the cliffs.
