We missed the turning for the site and ended up doing a big loop through country lanes to get back to the entry of the site. (we did find small signs at the end of the road).
On arrival, the wardens were very welcoming and very helpful with our hardstanding pitch.
The site is spaced out and has nice hedged separated areas, and looked well looked after, and whilst the site is on a hill, most pitches had some kind of slope, mostly a small one.
The main thing for us was a stated in previous reviews, that being the facilities which are extremely tatty and outdated.
It's such a shame for the site and wardens. Other than that, there are some nice cycle routes if a little hilly, and New Quay is a lovely place to visit.
Oh and the nearest pub and bus stop are a 15m walk away.

The site facilities are badly designed and in need of complete rebuilding and not just refurbishment.
The water filling and emptying facilities have a huge lip around the tap/drain which makes it difficult for filling and emptying. The footpath to the areas end before meeting the roadway around the site, meaning that full water containers have to be dragged over grass, which if it's wet leaves the containers filthy. For the less mobile, this is not a good thing.
There is no mat for wiping feet as you go into the main toilet/shower block, which makes for a slippy and potential dangerous surface when it is raining. The showers themselves are push button. I timed the shower button and it lasted five seconds. Not long enough. The cubicles themselves are badly fitted, in that no area stays dry when the shower is on.
Again because there are no ridges in the floor tiles, makes for a slippy and dangerous experience. The floor tiles have years of ground in dirt and grime in the outer reaches of the cubicles. The 'open' drainaways in the shower cubicles are smelly and unsightly. The toilet cisterns are broken in many cubicles. The tops don't fit.
The family/disabled shower room has no working heating. The shower is temperamental. If people are using the washing up area next door or the washing machine the other way, the shower will not stay warm. It cuts out and the hot water goes off, leaving you with a cold shower. Again, the open drainaways, smell and are unsightly, more so in the room because they are larger.
The staff are friendly and welcoming as you would expect.
Do use the instructions for the approach to the campsite. If you approach from the wrong direction, it is through very narrow roads with tight bends.

Needs a complete update
This site is out of the local village and not well sign posted. Staff are lovely.
The pitches ok but the facilities take me back years they are so worn and tatty. The water point was constantly slippy with a ridiculously high edging which made collecting water and disposing of waste water difficult.
As for the toilet blocks. Tatty, ingrained grime, tiles and walls full of filled in holes from now defunct equipment. Showers had nowhere to put toiletries, clothes and towels got wet. Toilets with seats coming off.
New Quay is delightful, Aberaeron picturesque, Cardigan historic and Llangrannog and Cenarth both lovely.
Wouldn't come back to this site because of its condition.

Nice peaceful site. Quite slopey unless you go for hardstanding. Nice views.
Toilets could do with updating and showers stop unless you are permanently pressing the button which was very annoying.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Site would benefit from small shop as local one is 0. 6 miles away and only open 9-5.

As a 20 year C&CC member I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the toilet and shower facilities, they really are dire and in need of refurbishment.
The location of the site is ok and the hardstanding pitches are level but the approach road is very narrow in bits.
Site managers do work very hard maintaining the site so can't fault them.
Don't think we would go back until the club spend some money on the site

Excellent site lovely views very friendly staff.
Facilities kept clean but could do with a refurbish, would quite happily return for another visit.
Probably will do next year.

A fabulous site. Owners were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed.
Site was clean and tidy and a great location to explore the beautiful country.
I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this site.

A spacious campsite in a beautiful part of the world.
We stayed here with our 2 teenage granddaughters, sharing a Ready Camp tent and our campervan.
Friendly wardens loaned us a set of boules to play petanque on one of the hardstanding pitches, and there is a big field to play ball games.
A short drive takes you to the carpark at the start of New Quay, and further drives lead to some of the most beautiful beaches of Cardigan Bay.

We arrived on the opening day after Covid lockdown (Wales being a little behind England in opening sites). There were 4 pitches occupied out of 85. Best pitches are in second field as you go round giving best views.
Can't comment on toilet block as it was closed under Welsh Covid rules but had to give a number rating so gave a neutral 5. Rest of site kept clean and tidy.
Location is great for dolphin spotting in New Quay. Use carpark as you enter New Quay (on right together with doctors surgery) and then steep walk down to town. Get your fish and chips and then sit and watch for dolphins and seals.

Arrived on site which is nicely looked after, not busy so we chose a hard standing not far from the shower block.
Even with levellers it was way out but as it was a stopover for us we weren’t overly concerned but would have asked to chang pitches if staying longer.
Lovely views of the surrounding countryside and if you have transport only a short ride to New Quay. Now for the facilities. Oh dear!
This site must have the worst shower block of all the camping and caravan sites. Very poor, thought I had stepped back in time when I entered. In our 7 years of motorhoming it has to win the prize for the worst block!
Wouldn’t return for this reason alone as we consider it’s part and parcel of the cost of a nightly charge.
