Enjoyed our weekend here. Great view, good flat pitches as booked ours in advance. Good price and would definitely revisit.
Facilities clean and well kept. Was concerned by low numbers of toilets and showers but to be fair, due to low number of maximum campers, there was no issue. Hook ups but no shop.
Fairly decent walk into Ludlow with children - they coped! Market in Ludlow excellent.
Overall, would recommend.

Lovely campsite, on a slope with 11 level pitches with hook up, plus extra pitches without hook up, within walking distance to ludlow, good location. Fantastic views overlooking Ludlow.
Lots going on in Ludlow markets 3 times a week, 5 minute walk to whitcliffe common or 1 minute walk to mortimer forest, excellent for walking, cycling, dog walking
Facilities on site basic but clean, vigilant owners, very enthusiastic for recycling, reasonable site fees, good atmosphere
Riding school on site for those who ride
Resident peacock patrolling site

We stayed here (late-twenties couple) on a Thursday night in early August, and paid £5 each, plus £3 extra for a level pitch.
The site is a sloping field with lovely views of Ludlow and the surrounding countryside. The level pitches, which are numbered, have been dug out around the edges of the field, and have spaces for cars next to them. Unless you'd a big fan of pitching on a slope then I'd say they're worth the extra money.
The facilities were fine but not very plentiful - one shower and loo each for men and women around the back of the farm buildings (a bit of a trek up the hill if you're camping anywhere other than right at the top of the field) and an extra unisex loo nearer the campsite. They were clean and seemed well looked-after, and had loo roll and soap.
Ludlow centre is a a fairly leisurely walk (downhill) from the site, and it looked as though there would be plenty of nice local walks starting from nearby.
We ate at the Green Cafe at Dinham Bridge - highly recommended - and bought delicious supplies from the Deli on the Square, in town, and Prices Bakers.
I'd stay here again and would recommend it for couples and families, maybe for small groups too.

The site matched up to our expectations, We had a pitch midway down the field with hook up.
We have become a middle aged couple. The walk up to the washroom, and water proved that!
Have to admit that we used the car on a couple of days to get water and do the empty.
Most people appeared to only stay a couple of days, we had booked for 4 nights and a late depart. Would have liked to go and say a personal thank you but no one was around but it is a working farm.
The site has a great location and offers great views across Ludlow and beyond.
We did use the showers etc and whilst the wife had no trouble at all, I did struggle to get hot water, but I think that was the controls rather than a problem, because once I got it it was nice hot and free.
We will go back, but maybe next time we will ask about a pitch at the top of the field!

What this campsite has in abundance is location. There is a wonderful view over Ludlow and further to Clee Hill, and it is just a short and rather pleasing walk into the town from the site.
The site itself is a bit characterless - level pitches have been cleverly sculpted into a sloping field, but it's very open and no privacy between the pitches - some additional landscaping might be preferable. The lower pitches are a long uphill walk from the facilities in the farm at the top; we thought that an additional block at the bottom - and at least a water pipe - would be a definite plus. Facilities were also a bit limited - as the site filled up the single shower for men, single shower for women wasn't quite sufficient - okay if most of your customers are in caravans or motorhomes with all mod cons, but this wasn't the case and queues built up. I also didn't really like the pricing structure - given the nature of the site, a single all-in price for a pitch might make more sense.
All in all, the site felt a bit workaday; given the setting a bit more thought could make it a gem, but it's not quite there at the moment.

We stayed here recently having decided spur of the moment to go camping and enjoy the sunshine. We arrived without reservation and were offered a level pitch or the open field. We chose to camp on the slope for £5. 00 each - bargain.
For our fivers we were pleasantly surprised by the clean free hot showers and the basic facilities of the washroom including electric sockets. The campsite had a nice mix of campers and was exactly what we were after.
A great base for Ludlow, and for the forest with a bridleway meeting the bottom of the camp site driveway - perfect for walking.
The camp site is exactly as advertised, small, quiet, basic farm site with everything we needed for our weekend away at a great value price - we've stayed at other sites that charge more and don't deliver as well.
The lady at the house froze our ice packs daily for us and we were allowed a BBQ providing we didn't burn the grass. The view of Ludlow is second to none and luckily the weather showcased it to full potential - lovely sunsets.
If you head into town the castle is phenomenal, the cake shops (particularly Waltons, just off the square) and the sausages from the butchers opposite Boots were delicious.
The walk takes around 20-30mins meaning we avoided the car parking fees in town. Would definitely recommend this site to others.

Great spot for visiting a beautiful area - site has outstanding views of Ludlow castle & town, the only site that we found where you could walk into Ludlow. Steep site with levelled areas, clean showers & loos, stables on farm & would have been nice to go for a ride, but no time - horses looked glorious & stables next to the forest. No children with us, so can't comment on child friendliness - sorry.
When you arrive & ring the bell, keep ringing, the owners may be busy in the yard.

The site has lovely views over Ludlow. A twenty minute walk into town. We got a cab back as it was late and it was a fiver. Not readily available so get a number just in case you don't see one.
The owners were nice but didn't see that much of them.
The road up to the farm goes around the camp site so if close to the edge you may have a very loud awakening from a tractor or delivery truck.
The showers never got hot no matter whether we were first or last in. The sink taps, however, were hot. That area was basic and clean.
The campsite is on a hill so most pitches, especially the lower pitches are slightly sloping.
Relaxed atmosphere. Would go back and if showers aren't working I'd ask the owners about it.

Great location if visiting Ludlow (on a hill overlooking the town with superb views) the camping field is large with well maintained and spacous pitches, although it has limited EHU.
The facilities are adequate and although basic the toilets and shower areas are clean and user friendly. It's not a site for those expecting a wide range of activities (pool, bar etc) it's only real leisure activity is the Riding School which offer reasonably priced lessons / hacks.
The owners were helpful and not over inquisitive which lent a relaxed air to the weekend. A bonus for us was that the short distance to Ludlow via a walk through woods (apprx 15 min)which meant we could leave the car behind.
We will be going back to Ludlow and Whitcliffe Farm, don't be put off by the farm bit it's got character and some very friendly cats.

This is the 2nd time we'd stayed at this campsite, the 1st time being at the Ludlow Food Festival in 2008.
To be 100% honest this campsite is not brilliant, it is on a massive hill so you need to take blocks of wood to keep your tables etc. Level.
The shower facilities are extremely poor, little trickle of cold water is what I got on both occassions.
It is a perfect location for visiting Ludlow (as we have relatives there) it will take you about 25 minutes to walk into the town centre.
The owners of this campsite are very strict with what you can do and what you can't - which in someways is brilliant ie no music/noise after 10pm. On the downside their attitude and customer service skills are appauling!
We gave this campsite another go as we thought we may have had a bad experice with it being the food festival - but no it is just a really poor site.
