This site is located down a very long farm track off the A4228. The campground is perched on the side of a hill, (plenty of flat pitches) overlooking a gorgeous valley.
No on-site shop, play areas.Etc etc etc, but this only adds to its beauty, on the night we stayed there, during a Wye kayak trip (a Friday) the place filled up nicely throughout the evening when it transformed from a peaceful site into a bustling campground, hosting all types of people.
It was noisyish into the evening, (so if you want peace and quiet, I guess visit during the week, not in school hols. It really is worth it) but not something I found unpleasant as it was mostly kids playing and in a space like that becomes a nice evening chorus.
Toilets and showers were fine.(20p for 3 mins, showers)
Camp fires are allowed and wood is delivered to your pitch via quad bike.
I really loved this campsite, the staff were helpful and friendly and I look forward to my next visit. There will be one.

Great site. Pitch up where you like and pay when you are ready.
Lovely stunning views all around.
Campfires allowed anywhere on the site.
Facilities good-new toilet and shower block added this year.
Worth spending an hour or so on arrival walking around to get a feel for which part of the campsite you fancy pitching up in. Varying atmosphere in each area!
Walk down through the woods to horse rescue centre where you can go in and see the horses, also a cafe and a pub.
Well worth a visit!
