This site is wonderful. Lovely big pitches, spotless toilet/shower blocks, loads of space to walk the dogs, fantastic views, village 10 mins walk away, no clubs or pubs (thankfully) and THE most helpful manageress on this planet. Nothing is too much trouble. In our new motorhome, the electrics decided to malfunction and the site electrician contacted by the manageress, did everything he could to put the situation right - and succeeded, making our stay there perfect. There are no motorhome service points as such, but there are large service pitches, which, if not occupied, you can use to empty the grey water and fill the fresh water tanks with ease. If those pitches are occupied, don't worry, the manager and manageress will sort you out. It's so nice to find helpful, kind and genuine people running a site which is located in and near the most beautiful countryside.

There was a group of us using this site(4 large tents). Weather was very rainy but we had a fab time. The facilities were fab. The toilets and showers were immaculate. There are 2 play parks, an obvious one for younger children, but another new one behind reception, an adventure trail, for older children. There is lots of room to run around and kick a ball. There is no shop but reception was very helpful. There is a great pub in Long Preston (The Boars head) lovely food, great service. We had a visit to White Scar Caves which was enjoyed by all. A great site if you are after a quiet, relaxing non commercialised site.

Just returned from a fantastic weekend at this site, and what a lovely site it is. All the pitches are very big with loads of room for your car and tables and chairs etc. Most of the site is caravans one half tourers and the other half statics so not many pitches for tents however this makes it nice and peaceful. The site doesn't have any shop or clubhouse and is also a distance to the nearest pub.
We will definitely be returning to this site the toilets and showers were immaculate, although the showers were on the small side with not enough room to get dressed within them. The washing up facilities were again spotless and perhaps the best we have used.
There is lots of space for the children to play and a very very small play area also so ideal for younger children although could imagine older children getting slightly bored.
Overall a fantastic site, the best pitches we have ever had and lovely and clean, highly recommended.

Stopped for one night, lovely site, spotlessly clean, huge pitch and lovely hot and powerful showers. Plenty of little villages around to visit or walk to but not much for older kids to do, but very peaceful for it. Long Preston does not have much to do apart from a few pubs, but your only a short drive away from Settle or Malham Tarn. Really friendly and helpful staff too.

We visited over the Easter weekend when the site was full and it was no problem. Everything worked perfectly and there was no overcrowding of the facilities etc. Pitches were of a good size all with hookups, the majority having hard standings and spaced such that you looked between the caravans opposite and not straight at them. The toilet block was very good, modern, clean and everything worked. Only a small playground but bags of room to kick a ball around away from the pitches. The site is situated on the edge of the Dales so some travelling is required to reach the tourist hot spots but Skipton with its terrific market, Settle and Ingleton are to hand. The site staff were friendly and obliging. The only criticism is that the adjacent static site is being further developed and there was noise from machinery etc. Don't let that put you off though from this excellent site as it will only be temporary.

Have just spent 8 nights at this site and we were very pleased with it. Only a few niggles, could do with more bin areas ( only area at car park outside of touring site) and a few more waste water points. In saying that, we were on a deluxe pitch and this was excellent. Would definitely go back

Just had a good weekend here, good toilets facilities. Nice camp site, good size pitches. Only thing you get some road noise. 10 min walk to Hellifeild where you can enjoy a drink/meal in the comfort of its 'non smoking pub', without returning to your van smelling like an ashtray!

Stayed here for two nights. Facilities are first class could not fault anything whatsoever. The owner was very very helpful with information about local facilites. The village of Settle is only a short drive down the road, lots of pubs, cafes, restaurants try the "Settle Down" cafe for breakfast, really good value at about £3.75 This site has everything apart from noise which suited us just perfect. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 2 nights - good location and good sized pitches, great clean facilities. It seems quite a new site and will the planting will increase in years to come. Only downside was that we found the road noise to be a problem where we were located at the far end of the site.

We stayed here for a weekend and couldn't really fault it. The pitches were well-marked, and seemed spacious and flat, and drainage didn't seem to be a problem when it rained heavily overnight. They have now added a small play area for younger children, although to be honest the appeal of this site is quality without the extensive bar/entertainment facilities that a lot of popular sites seem to contain which in themselves disturb the peace and quiet - in that respect they have it spot on. The village of Long Preston is about a mile away, and has a few pubs and a village shop, for more facilities Settle is only a few miles further. The staff were friendly and polite, although the office did seem to close fairly early in the evening. At £16 per night for pitch with ehu, not the cheapest, but that seems to be the going rate for a good quality site, which this undoubtedly is. Will definitely return.
