June 2005 Hard standing pitches on top field very close together and nearly all used by people who had booked for the full season. The grass field below however was nice - lots of space for tents and caravans. Nice toilets and showers (weather too hot to comment on heating - how often can you say that in the UK!) Nice friendly owners.

May 2005 A great site, entry gate and toilets are controlled by a swipe card (deposit £10). We had problems with ours and so were stuck in middle of night with no toilet facilities. The owners told us they had been experiencing problems. The pitches were large and flat and we had a wonderful view of Pendle Hill from our pitch. We got the impression that the owners prefer caravans than tents as they told us that when they opened in 2004 they needed the income so they also let people stay who were sleeping under canvas.
The only downside was that there was not any facilities for children to play so if you have youngsters then they may find themselves with nothing much to do. The toilets are spotless and the showers very powerful, although care to be taken with young children as a slight touch of the controls can cause the water to get extremely hot instantly.
A lot of money has been spent on this site but it does not really cater for families with children. All in all if you are after a quiet site which is close to beautiful scenery then this site is worth a visit

28th-31st May 2004 Very impressed with site! very clean, quiet and well run with excellent security. Much thought has been given in planning the site with plenty space given with each pitch and even under-floor heating in toilet/shower block.....bliss no cold tooties! The 14 of us that camped last weekend will certainly be returning before the end of the season.

Easter 2004 Overall a very clean, quiet and well run site. The toilet is very modern with blown heating and showers (free). Security is high on their priorities, all the exits are controlled by swipe card and so is the toilet/shower block. We really enjoyed our stay although only 2 nights and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our next visit is to be 1st week in July (if I can get time off work).
