This small site is the only proper campsite in the Outer Hebrides south of Harris so can be reasonably busy. It has electrical hookups and is pretty level. The toilet blocks are clean enough however there were only 2 toilets and one shower in each of the male and female sections - not remotely enough given the number of people on site.
There is a decent beach close to the campsite plus sports facilities, including an excellent pool and sauna, in the school right beside the site.
Costs for us (2 adults, 1 child, motorhome with hookup) were £21 per night.

Just back from this site was going to stay 1 night but stayed 6 nights great site spotless nice flat dry ground and very peaceful, loads of wild birds and spotted corncrakes in field opposite. Great location, hotel close by offering a wide variety of local produce. Also within walking distance of swimming pool and sandy beach. Friendly owners nothing to much bother if your wanting nice quite clean site this is for you. Will definitely be back next year!

Camped for two nights. The only real campsite from Vatersay to Harris so after 10 days of wild camping this was a very useful place for recharging, washing and a general tidy-up. Good basic site with helpful owners who helped us all move around during the days as we had force 9 winds from time to time
There is a Co-op 10 min walk away.
The secondary school next door has a swimming pool and sauna which can be used by the public at certain times. Attached to the school is the library, with internet facilities and also an NHS dentist who put a temporary filling in for the one my husband had lost.
A very practical site if you are visiting Barra, Benbecula and the Uists.

Good basic site, the owners are very helpful & knowledgeable about the area. Nothing a problem except one shower out of operation. Site is gradually being improved and is very central for seeing the Uists. Beach is 3 minute walk with good local amenities. Overall a very good experience - will go again definitely

Just returned from this site. Sorry to say I don't think we will visit again. We stayed for 2 days in the rain which didn't help. 4 Toilets and 2 showers (tho one shower was closed) my husband says gents was same. Clean and loads of toilet roll, handwash etc. Showers free and no push button which was a bonus. Some electric hook-ups. Ths site itself was just not very attractive. Back of site where we were put had areas of concrete where statics must have stood. We were on a narrow pitch which had an old step from caravan days still there. Very easy to fall over in middle of night as it was pitch black. Surroundings not really attractive, we were looking onto an old digger and portacabin. £20 per night seemed a bit steep. Swimming pool next to site,Co-op nearby and Marys take-away cafe over causeway to South Uist was very good.

Nice site, friendly owner who lives across from the site. Good facilities although the shower is fixed so if you are on the short side you need to position yourself just right to get the water to hit you! There is access to the beach directly behind the site through the dunes which is a lovely beach and we spent an afternoon seal watching as they come really close to the shore.
There is a local school/community centre/pool just down the road and a hotel. Also a supermarket within reasonable walking distance and the Orisay Inn (excellent seafood) is 10 mins drive.
Handy site after wildcamping on Barra.
