Stayed here for one night. On paper it all looks wonderful - shop, bar, showers etc. Then reallity kicks in, the shop was almost devoid of stock, the bar wasn't open ( this during May bank holiday week) & they had the cheek to charge 20p for a shower!
The site itself is beautifully laid out with lovely open views.

We stayed at Trevaylor the first weekend in April, the rest of the country was having snow & hail! The site was very quiet that weekend as most people had gone home following the Easter Holidays. The site is divided into smaller areas, with well established hedges. There were several wooden picnic bench's which were very handy! The showers were 20p in a slot, they were nice & hot and lasted plenty time. The toilet block was very clean, but we were the only girls/ladies using it!
The only down side was no hot water for dish washing! The lady who booked us in was very helpful and we will go back later in the summer.
The bar etc mentioned in other reviews was not open, not that it bothered me, 1st weekend in April is still very quiet!
St Just is less than 5 minutes in the car with a Co-op selling everything you would need, there is a bakers in the town too, as well as lots of galeries and craft shops too.

We stayed on Trevaylor during the second week of September and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The campsite is quite spacious however in high season I would image it isn't quiet.
The showers and toilets where cleaned daily and where clean, 20p's are a must for the showers which gives you 6 minutes, they are very hot though.
The staff at the site where very friendly and the owners where always on hand to help in the shop or give advice.
The bar is open each night and the price of beer is the same as the pub down the road with Worthingtons and Doom Bar on tap, they had larger on tap as well. We found the local pub less than friendly, as its locals first, sod the tourists - they'll leave you standing at the bar while they serve the locals. Service is better if ordering food, which was good.
For kids there is a small playground with swings and a climbing frame. You might want to keep an eye on the kids though as the front of the campsite is edged by the main Penzance to St Ives road but its not as busy as it sounds.
For walkers and dog owners its only 200 yrds to the coastal path and the Crown Mine/Wheal Martyn area and its quite easy to walk to St Ives or to Penzance from here.
The village of St Just is about 10 minutes walk away and there are plenty of amenities here with the local Post Office having a free cash machine.
We would definitely use this campsite again.

Well laid out site with divided areas. Toilet and Shower block were O.K. But could do with some updating. You need 20p for the showers but you do get a decent amount of time and they were nice and hot. There is a small bar on site but there is also a pub

I ve stayed at this site lots of times an it is always good, very quiet with great countryside views, it's really remote down there and just lovely. The owners are truly laid back and nice people, I spent a couple of nights chewing the fat in the nice little bar there. The facilities are good and clean, the pitch fields are hedged and nice, they provide good shelter in windy conditions and there is a tiny village of Botallack, next door. Go there, you will not be disappointed.

July 2004 I would like to say that this is one of the best sites I have visited within the Lands End peninsula. I always find it difficult to find a site that is quite peaceful, but at the same time does offer somewhere to have some food+drink after a long day of travelling around. The site is quite large (grass area),but is divided into 3 or 4 areas, so it does not appear so. The food and drink offered is very good and very reasonably priced. The toilet and washing facilities were very clean indeed. They did however became quite busy during the dawn chorus period.I woul have liked the washbasins to in cubicles as the showers(3)did get rather busy at times. In all oyher respects I thought the campsite was near perfect for long or short stays.

July We visited 8 sites this Summer in Cornwall and this was my favorite. As there is only my husband, me & dog, we are not looking for camps with organised entertainment. This site had a great location, it's convenient for Lands End, Penzance & St Ives (the drive to St Ives is fantastic) and is good for walking (nice pub nearby), excellent and clean facilities and on site pub that serves good food, friendly reception and very reasonably priced. We will certainly go again.

July 2002,June 2003 I have been to this site several times and will go again this summer. Firstly its location - you cant go wrong, only a few miles from Lands End and in one of Cornwalls most picturesque areas - West Penwith. Facilities include bar/restaurant/pool table/ cheap beer/clean and modern toilet/shower block, well stocked shop/dishwashing area/elsan. Gently sloping touring / camping fields are fairly well sheltered and quiet despite being just off the road. Very reasonable prices and friendly owners.

Aug 2002 i have been to this camp site on many occasions over the last 10 years and cant make one complaint about it. the owners are very friendly and it is a great site to be at.
A few points,
it is very close to the coast path about 30 mins walk.
situated in some great countryside close to the village of st just. There is a selection of pubs and shops there.
the site as a small bar and games room and a play area for the kids.
good clean showers and toilet block, with laundery room.
i will certanly be going again !
