October 2004 We had a great week at this site which we visited as it was so close to Alton Towers (about 30 mins drive - easily found.)
The site was spacious and well laid out on terraces with all hard standing. The facilities were spotless and there were plenty of them. There is a small dog walk through woods around the edge of the site and a good adventure playground for older children (at the end of the dog walk and a bit secluded so you would probably want to accompany younger children.) There was also a good play area for younger children just outside the smaller toilet block and within view of your caravan if you were on that level.
Round and about there was plenty to see and do. The site is situated on the Peak District National Park and the views and walking are spectacular within walking distance of the site. There is also a pub serving food just outside the site and plenty of interesting towns round about (Leek, Buxton etc.) If you go with children the Waterworld in Stoke is easy to find and well worth a visit (about 30 mins drive). The shops are good there too and, of course there are many ceramic factories to visit in and around Stoke (again we found them easily.)
All in all well worth a visit.

Sept /Oct 2001 We had a lovely 2 week stay here. We really enjoyed the site as it was then, and was surprised to hear they were closing for the winter to be refurbished as it was already a nice clean well maintained site. It's location right on the edge of the Peak District is great for visiting this area of outstanding natural beauty, and the view of the Roaches from the site is wonderful. We found we needed to use the car for getting around, but that was no problem as all the roads are well signposted and there was always adequate parking when we arrived at our destinations. If we go back to this area of the country, we'll probably stay here again.

May 2003 Really clean facilities, and nice spacious pitches, all hard standing. We only stopped over here for a night, but beware most pitches away from main road tend to be filled up if you arrive late, so you may end up with a spot of traffic noise.
