Just returned from a Weekend at Wold Farm. There was only another half a dozen campers on site including some under canvas and occupying the pods.
There has been torrential rain the day we arrived so the ground was very wet. Being in a caravan that was not an issue to us but we did not put the carpet down in the awning. The ground underfoot was squelchy because of this but on leaving this had improved. Although wet because the ground was sandy, it did not become muddy.
Other than paying my site fees I did not really see the owners although when he found a pair of spectacles he did phone around to try and find the keeper.
There are only 2 toilets and wash hand basins on site. No pot washing facilities or showers so people under canvas or without there own facilities need to note this.
Some pitches have electric hookup.
Having looked around the area at other sites, I liked this one the best although access to the site is not easy. Its up a single track that is overgrown on each side so if you have a caravan, take it slow as not to damage the sides on the overgrowth. It would be most helpful if the site owner could cut this back and put in some passing points as meeting another oncoming vehicle especially if towing could be a very difficult situation.
When leaving, we got a friend to drive along to the end to block it off before we started our exit. Some sort of light system would also work.
I would return to this site. We had some fog, but I can see the appeal of the open vista views in clear weather.

This was our second visit to wold farm as we enjoyed the first stay, we are new to camping but the owner made us feel very welcome! The site itself is a working farm which I enjoyed as I work on a family farm myself.
Its also a great site to go and see the puffins and other sea birds (just don't forget your camera and binoculars like I did the first time) but the owner been very nice borrowed me a pair of binoculars for the duration I was there. Very well looked after land, animals and facilities and the views are beautiful! We will be back again in the near future! 10-10 from us

Long w/end at end of June to try out campervan. Reasonably level, well maintained site; 2 clean toilets w/basins. Didn't have to queue - might be a problem if site is full. Owners very friendly. Why do campers feel the need to wash pots etc in the toilet? just take the hot water back to the pitch and wash up there - shorter queues for all. A hot tap on outside wall would help.
Owner has cut a nice path to cliff tops and told us where to view the puffins. Easy walks to Bempton; Thornwick and North Landing. Viking Inn had reasonable food at good prices; North Star Hotel was very good food.
Will go back again.

Farm site with very friendly and helpful proprietors, in an excellent setting. The washroom/toilet facilities are very good and cleaned regularly and well. The village is not the most picturesque but there is all you need and most of what you want. Convenient for Flamboro Head and Bridlington but the jewel in the crown is after a pleasant walk to Bempton Cliffs. The seabirds there are awesome - you are in for a treat. Binocs and camera essential!

We only stayed one night due to picking the worst possible couple of nights to try our 'geriatric' trailer tent out. With torrential rain, wind and a cold fogy mist! The tent failed, but the site passed with flying colours, it was very good.
Facilities wise, There are very clean toilet facility with plentiful hot water, Drinking Water tap, Electric Hook up points, they will freeze your packs or charge your batteries free of charge. They also have two new pods which looked really cosy.
Wonderful people! Very unobtrusive but always seem to be easily found with a quick call to the house and ready to help.
We had problems with the old tent, broken door zip and then light problems when heading home, and were helped out by Steve, to get sorted out, for which we were very grateful. Her even rang that night to make sure me got home okay.
Take note of the very good directions given to find the site before travelling, as it is not visible from the road and the sign at the start of the single-track road leading to the site (which is not far off a mile long) has a sign for ‘Grange Farm camping’ So don’t think you found the wrong place.
Downside
No showers or wash up sink, so go prepared.
The style near the cliffs is a bit difficult for short leg
Upside
The whole site is well cared for, with views over to Flambrough head.
The owners are really helpful
The walks and views on the cliffs are wonderful, and only a short walk from the camping space.
Fire pits and disposable BBQ are allowed (within reason) bricks are kept to raise it of the ground so not to damage the field. Though I would ask before lighting anything more than a disposable BBQ.
It is long way from the road, so no road noise! also fenced, so quite child safe, with lots of space to play.
The sky is beautifully dark at night and great for star gazing
And finally, my own personal ‘thing’ Sun rise and sunsets! This place has both. Sunsets are good from the little picnic table a little way along the path. Sunrise is just a little further along the path, to where the ground rises, to get it rise over the sea.
All in all it is a great, small. Peaceful, friendly site. Which we will visit again …. With a different tent!

Just come back from a 2 night stay at this wonderful site! choice of 2 fields, and farmer and his wife a lovely couple who make time to speak to you and are very helpful indeed!
The weather wasn't great but that didn't spoil our stay, we had a walk over the fields to the cliff top, and the farmer encouraged our daughter to pet the lambs!
Had a brill day out at bridlington, and sewerby hall with all its animals a must!
Upgraded our 2nd night and stayed in 1 of 2 brand new wooden pods, the farmer nicely said he'd have it warmed up for us getting back from brid, and warm it was, didn't need a cover that night as it was so warm, made for a very pleasant break away,
Had a meal in a pub in flamborough called 'the rose and crown' all home made food (including the chips!) make sure your hungry the plates are huge!
A nice 10pm quiet time so you can have plenty of kip,
2 immaculate toilets, no showers or washing up point, but that didn't matter to us as we were self contained,
Will definitely be back to this site, as its stunning

We have just returned after four very pleasant days at Wold Farm. It was a little windy when we arrived and putting up the awning was not easy but the sun came out and the wind dropped.
There are shops in nearby in Flamborough Head and a good selection of local farm shops.
The owners were very friendly when you need help or information but weren't intrusive.
Although it rained during our stay the ground soon dried. There are two toilets which were very clean and the owners have recently installed electric hook-ups.
I left the curtains open at night to make the most of the panoramic sea views and the Flamborough Head Lighthouse in the distance. The path to the cliff tops give you the opportunity to see the puffins and other sea birds
If I had an observation rather, than criticism, the track to the farm is 3/4 of a mile long and I dread to think what would happen if you met another caravan on the way. Perhaps two or three strategically placed by-passes could be made in the event you meet another caravan coming towards you.
The final surprise was the very competitive price of £14.00 for the pitch and electricity.

Lovely site; a fairly level field where you can pitch wherever you wish. They were in the process of installing electric hook ups whilst we were there.
Two toilets with hot water, which were kept immaculately clean, but no showers.
The owners are very friendly and always had time for a chat.
We were entertained by the games and frolics of the lambs in the fields next to the camping field.
Very close to the cliffs where you can walk either to Bempton in one direction, or Flamborough along the cliff tops, with (if you're lucky) sightings of puffins. The coastline is superb and the walking easy.
We had a lovely, reasonably priced meal at the Rose and Crown in Flamborough, but make sure you are hungry - the portions are very generous.
It was just a short walk back from the pub to the camp site so ideal.
We could only stay a couple of nights but will definitely return to the site

What an absolute gem of a site! If you want a back to basics camping experience on a working farm then this is the site for you.
There are two fields, shared by caravans and tents, with no fixed pitches, both have sea views and are well maintained and drainage seems to be very good. After several days of hard rain they were not muddy.
The fields are surrounded by grazing fields full of sheep and lambs at the time we were there. There is very little between the sea and the camp site so it can be a bit windy at times, but we didn't experience any serious problems.
Facilities include two toilets, which were kept exceptionally clean, each with a wash basin with hot and cold water, a drinking water tap and and a toilet disposal point.
The farmer and his wife are very friendly and helpful, they gave us a warm welcome and were always happy to stop for a chat. When we managed to get a puncture, they happily gave us an electronic pump to inflate the tyre and even told to keep hold of it until we'd got it repaired.
The site has a path that leads directly to the cliff top walk that leads to Flamborough and beyond one way and Danes Dyke and Bempton in the other direction. Great if you enjoy a walk like us.
Flamborough and Bridlington are close by if travelling by car.
Brilliant if you like quiet, away from it all sites. We'll definitely be back!

This was my second visit in two years.
The site is perfect to get away from the noise and tension of big sites. It is not suitable for people who want a club house and eatery on site, because there isn't one.
The site is clean and tidy and part of a working farm, so no need to take along an alarm clock.
The owner remembered me from last year. He was quite happy to spend time chatting with his guests.
I took an 11 and 13 year old with me and this year because they had such a good time last year they wanted to go back.
Toilets are clean and well stocked.
Brilliant site.
