This was our first visit to this site. I doubt it will be the last. We arrived late on the Bank holiday Friday and a quick call to the owners had them arrive and show us our pitch. We were located in a sub-field adjacent to the main camping area that had 6 pitches. The pitches are quite flat and all situated fairly close to electricity supply.

We had a 5 man tent which had adequate space and we were able to park our car along side.

The site as a whole was very busy which in turn led to a shortage of hot water for both the showers and washing-up facilities, and I personally ended up with a cold shower Saturday morning. My husband managed to combat the cold water whilst washing-up by boiling the kettle in the kitchen area which is right beside the outdoor washing area. Having said that the facilities are new, well maintained, cleaned and restocked regularly.

The on site fishing lake is good and at £5 a day is reasonable, and the owner is fairly flexible in as much as if you only fish 2 half days she'll still only charge you £5. The fish aren't huge but the lake seems well stocked.

We brought the majority of our food with us but we ran short of bread, so a quick run into Scorton(5 mins in car)took us to a small Spar/Post Office, it was well stocked with essentials and fairly reasonably priced. There is also eggs available to buy on site which are located in the kitchen area, there were ordinary / poulet / duck ones at around £1 for half a dozen. Demand seemed quite high and you needed to be quick to get any. Lots of open fields and public footpaths surround the campsite so very dog friendly. Easy access to the M6 means you can quickly and easily be in Blackpool/Lancaster and beyond. All in all a really pleasant and well run site and only 45 mins from where we live, I'm sure we will use it again and again.

First visit to this site for us. It is dog friendly and there was no problem with us taking rotties as long as they were tied up and well behaved. We arrived at lunchtime on the Saturday of the bank hol weekend. The only hardstanding available was extremely close to the toilet block. I don't think I would have stayed if this was the only pitch available. However, the owner was fantastic. I didn't even have to say anything - she took one look at my face and offered to see if the group of people who had booked the adjoining camping field would mind if we pitched in with them in a corner out of their way. We still had hook up, and it was fab. Yes, it was full over the bank holiday weekend, but the site & facilities were kept spotlessly clean. I only had to queue once for the shower and it was a short wait. Unfortunately the shower water was cold on the first day - it had obviously been used up - but the rest of the time, the shower was lovely and toasty hot. There was no problem with noise at night - everything went quiet at a reasonable time. Although I did hear someone complaining about the sheep being noisy! Campers are well catered for, with a free hairdryer in the ladies and a room that campers can use if the weather is bad. There is also a fishing lake which kept hubby entertained. I was a bit surprised that some people in the other field left their dogs untethered given that this is sheep country! The site suited us much better when the bank holiday was over - we're a bit on the antisocial side! It was so peaceful with some lovely walks. We will be returning to this little gem of a site, and would highly recommend it.

Stayed at this site over the Bank Holiday weekend. It's a lovely site, just seemed to be too full, people were pitching up anywhere they could and our stay was spoiled by other inconsiderate campers, but that's nothing to do with the owners of the site - although I do feel that they allowed too many people to stay.

That said, the toilet block was cleaned at least twice a day, there is a laundry room and a very handy kitchen room with a fridge/freezer, kettle, table and chairs and somewhere warm for campers to go and have a brew if they so wished.

We would definitely go back again, but would aim for a weekend when it would be quieter.

Returned here after approximately five years.

This site is very different than before, we couldn't believe the transformation, new tiolets & showers, disabled facilities, laundry room, fridge freezer, gravel standings, even games for the kids to borrow.

Although there had been lots of snow the weekend before and it was still pretty deep in places the ground wasn't at all boggy in fact it was amazingly dry. It was also quite busy with it being Easter and families were there, the silence was deafening.

I honestly can't give this site enough praise, beautiful countryside, nearest pub The Fleece is about 1 mile away good food and great beer, massive log fire what more could you want on a freezing spring evening

We'll be back again and again perhaps next time it will be warmer.

This was a family run site in the early stages of development. It is set in its own farmland with a large fishing lake and free range geese, ducks and pheasants.

The gravelled pitches are laid out in two rows with electric hook-up to each.

There are ample toilets and showers and - a nice touch - a large kitchen complete with fridge/freezer, table and chairs. There is also a laundry room and a washing up area.

The owners were very welcoming and helpful and are 'environmentally friendly'.

The area is set in great walking country. Although the roads were very narrow and without footpaths, what traffic there was tended to be local and all slowed down when passing us.

Fantastic value at £12 per night. Enjoyed our stay here despite the weather.

Can safely say this is one of the best sites in the area

Under normal circumstances I would say the ground could be better drained however due to the amount of rain this would be unfair

The site is kept immaculate

Plenty of hard standing with good views

Toilet block is one of the best, had a bit of thought put into it. The shower rooms contain shower basin, toilet and a chair

All for £12 a night, a gift

We were there for probably the wettest weekend ever and the site was pretty full, so in good weather it may get full very fast

We spent a lovely weekend at Fell View. The facilities are very good - a new toilet block, with 2 showers, 4 WC's and sinks, and plenty of hot water.

Very good value for money at £12 per night with electric hook-up. The site is in a beautiful position on the edge of the Bowland Fells, about 2 miles NE of the small village of Scorton.

The views all round are lovely - out west across the Fylde plain to the sea, East to Harris End Fell and South to Nicky Nook. The site was busy the weekend we visited as the weather was fine and sunny, but it didn't feel crowded and I didn't have to queue to use the facilities.

The best pitches are to the right as you enter the site. On arriving just find a vacant spot and park up. The friendly owner, who lives at the farm just up the road, comes along to collect the money at some point during the day. It is very relaxed with no obvious rules and regulations.

There were plenty of children and dogs, but there was no problem with excess noise.

The site is a little exposed to the wind and any rain, although there is also a small camping field to the left just before the main entrance which would probably offer more shelter but less good views. We went on walks directly from the site to the top of Harris End Fell, and over Nicky Nook into Scorton and back along the Grizedale valley.

Fantastic clean site great for peace and quite even with a family really friendly owners. Great facilities, free hot showers, also has washing machine dryer and iron if needed, has a nice kitchen with use of fridge and freezer. Bargain price of £12 with electric. Village of scorton ten mins in car, garstang is around 20 mins in car, nickynook around 1 hours walk nice picnic area, lovely views when you wake up in the morning will be going back soon

We have just returned from a weekend at this site. The sun was shinning and the site was quite full, the good points of this site, are easy to get to from the Motorway. The site grounds are well looked after, the Gate to get in and out of the site are kept closed and are safe for the Children.

There is a small fishing pond, with plenty of fish. There is a new toilet block, with Kitchen area, and Laundry room. Plenty of farm animals around the site for the Children. There is a good sized area for the dogs to run around.

The Negative points, Toilets were reasonably clean, Toilet paper in short supply, people using showers did not mop up after themselves in the room causing the floors to flood.

This is a very good and modern site, well kept Sue was very helpful and addressed problems when raised. Overall this is a very good site, and if some of these points were addressed it would be a an excellent site. Thanks for a good weekend.

I chose this site as it was close to home and cheap (£12/ night) including EHU.

There is a new facilities block but to be honest we didn't get that far!

That was about as good as it got!

To be fair to the owner they did say choose your own pitch so we did. Yes it was wet and in hind site we should have abandoned it their and then but with two small kids it is difficult to disappoint them!

The pitch just became a bog which we had to abandon of sorts in the end sending the wife & kids home!

I am amazed that the owner hasn't marked it as unusable (not sure if this is standard practice!) From arriving at 3pm ish until 9:30am we haven't seen the site owner but again to be fair I did leave the site to take family home.

In better weather the site would have been quite nice.
