August 2004 It may have cost 50p for a shower and they were basic but they were always hot and I wouldn't say they were dirty. However, this campsite renewed my faith in camping. Fantastic scenery, good local pubs, great walks and most importantly no caravaners watching TV with ornaments and occasional tables!!

August 2004 While the views from the campsite are undeniably magnificent and the surrounding countryside is a walkers paradise, I feel the campsite could benefit from a little more attention, especially from the cleaners. My biggest grumble is having to pay 50 pence to use a dirty shower for four minutes, at that price the cost of the electricity etc is more than well covered and I don't think it unreasonable to have clean facilities for the money. The 50 pence tokens are also required for the electric shaver and hairdryer facilities which also seems a little steep. This is a nice friendly campsite with lots of rustic charm - but rustic charm doesn't go well with luxury prices.

July 2004 Beautiful campsite. Facilities basic but spotless, plenty of hot water. We took our 3 children, aged 7, 3,and nearly 2 and they loved it. 2 minute walk in to Malham - 2 pubs, shop, cafe, pony treking, visitors centre. Malham cove is a lovely short walk away, kids played in the stream for ages. Small & friendly, no cars bombing about, idyllic!!

July 2004 Nice enough campsite although seemed quite expensive for what you got. £3.50 per person, plus extra for tent and for a car. Showers cost 50p for 4 minutes of scalding or freezing water - with nothing in between.
There is a sink area with hot water for washing up and reasonable toilets.

July 2004 Firstly the location is excellent, the views are lovely, and with the stream at the bottom of the field, is superb. However, I did find that the toilet blocks, shower and washing up area, were no more than a converted outbuilding, and could do with money being spent on them. very very 1950's basic. The toilets are right next to the washing up area (2 cubicles in each) and as people gather to wash up in the one sink, some people were getting embarassed about using the loo.
Being part of a large party was great fun, and staying for 2 nights, with 4 tents was good for their business, however I was a little disapointed, when we were charged £5.00 a night for the gazebo, which they said was taking up a tent space,( the gazebo was covering 2 fold up tables and a stove in the middle of our tents)The site was declared full on the Saturday night, even though there was ample space for more campers - so I felt they were just money grabbing. This was on top of the per person rates - we got charged for a 2 and half year old, and for parking the car, so don't expect any favours. - It just made us leave with second thoughts about returning later in the summer.

June 2004 Six adults and one child all enjoyed the peace and quiet of the camp site. Toilets and showers basic and clean. Friendly owners, everyone on campsite respectful of noise to neighbouring tents. Good views and lovely village. Only down side was no shop to buy basic groceries.

May 2004 A great little site in a fabulous location, away from all traffic noise it was an oasis of calm. The toilet block was kept brilliantly clean, great washing up facilities with hot water. Within strolling distance are 2 great pubs, tea rooms, an outdoor centre, horse riding and a small village shop where if you can't see what you want just ask! If you want to get away from it all and for the pheasant and lambs to be your alarm call then this is a must visit!

May 2004 Returning to camping with a 6 yr old after 8yrs abstinance I picked this site after reading the review and it is great but take provisions with you and wellies or water shoes for the kids (a brook runs through the field and Jenny played in it for hours). The showers are very roomy and hot, there is a large sink with hot water for washing pots and the toilets are very clean. Last booking is 10pm and if leaving you are asked to vacate pitch for 12noon, but you can then park in the car park there if you want to explore further. Great site, tents only and quiet, we will be returning.

August 2003 Great little site within easy reach of Malham Cove, and about 10 minute walk into Malham village.
The site is small, well it's a field really with limited access for cars (only family cars are allowed on part of the field).
The scenery is great and the children played all afternoon in a small stream running through the camp site.
The facilities are basic and clean. I will be paying another visit for sure.
