We've been coming to Invercaimbe for over 20 years. Didn't make it last year due to work commitments, but hope to get there again soon. Beautiful views of the islands and some of the most fantastic sunsets on the West Coast. Joyce works hard to maintain the site and although the facilities are basic, the gorgeous surroundings more than make up for this. Plenty to do in the local area, grocery store at Arisaig, lovely beach at Morar and a good range of shops and places to eat in nearby Mallaig. Always look forward to visiting this lovely little site!

I think this site is the closest I'll get to pure heaven! The scenery and sunsets are to die for, and I spent hours wandering on the beach. Very peaceful, and the skies are so clear at night, you can see so many stars that normally aren't visible. The facilities are basic but adequate, and kept spotless by the owner, Joyce, who is a lovely person. She even advised us to come a day later because of bad weather! There is a Spar in Arisaig, as well as Mallaig, and there is also a Co-op there, so we managed to avoid the 30 odd mile trip to Fort William for supplies during our stay. Seeing Local Hero today brought it all back, and I SO want to return!

Arrived without booking and was told that she could only accommodate me for one night. I wanted a minimum of four. She did find me a spot and I was able to stay for five nights. I appreciated her efforts on this front and it helped reassure me that customers do actually count for something.
The site is situated in a superb spot. Despite the slight wind, it is next to the sea by a beautiful beach with stunning views.
The facilities are good and clean. There is free access to a fridge, freezer and microwave - which is a godsend to anyone in a small 2-man tent. Good laundry facilities too.

Lovely site in a beautiful area of the country. Peaceful - clean (toilets and shower - always clean) - friendly - unspoiled. We found this site on spec and were going to travel on for the week but liked this site so much we stayed the week and already looking at going back later in season. Sands and water on doorstep - step out caravan on to the beach. We have dogs and they loved the freedom and were made welcome. Don't think we could have found anywhere better.

It was almost impossible to get in touch with the owner by phone or e-mail and messages were not replied too, however we managed to get in by just showing up.
Site is on an amazing beach setting but is very small and crowded with everybody too close together, apparently this is due to the site losing more and more space to the sea each year.
Toilets and showers were basic and badly in need of upgrade when we were there only 1 shower working, none for men, doors hanging of hinges and water leaks over floors in toilets.
The place badly needs some TLC and would be lovely if upgraded and numbers limited to half what was there when we stayed, kids liked the beach !

This has got to be the best site we have stayed at over the years. So good that we have been going back every summer for the past 5 years. So good if you have young children as you can see what they are up to but still relax yourself, especially if you are at the front which leads straight on to the beach. Really safe. Facilities are fine. Toilets cleaned regularly, basic but do the job, laundering facilities great as well as washing up area. A really happy atmosphere. If you want to go in the summer book well in advance as it is a really popular site. Beautiful sun sets. Great beach fires (when weather permits). Lovely family run site. 10/10.

Wet and windy but we loved it!
The site is pretty desolate and the scenery is beautiful. We seemed to be a surprise to the owner despite booking but we were made very welcome and once shown around left to choose from a few pitches. If we rolled too far we would have got our feet wet in the sea! I loved the sheep, the birds, the waves & even the wind! We took a trip to Skye which wasn't a great success as I got a bit travel sick with the driving but being on the ferry and again, the fantastic scenery was worth while.
The toilets were adequate and there was a well stocked laundry. A pub which I reckoned was too far to walk but my husband didnt. Worth a visit

Stayed with a group of Kayakers. Great situation on beach ideal for children. Near Arisaig village pub and couple of shops. Cafe in Arisaig but does not open till about ten am.
Best food Tea Garden in Mallaig. Avoid Market restaurant.
Site showers and toilets are ok but long overdue upgrade. Booking made by kayak group organiser.
I tried to make a booking in June no telephone response and got no reply to my email. So hard to make a booking.
Displays site full sign at end of road when site is full

Have stayed at this site many times over the past 4 years. Joyce, the owner is very pleasant and helpful. The site is right on the beach, has good facilities and the rates are reasonable. Would suggest you book in advance as it is a very popular site.

Informal farm site. Facilities are a little basic but adequate, shame some of site was lost in storm last winter. This is the ultimate beach side camp site some pitches are literally a step away from the sandy foreshore. Toured the other sites on the Arisaig to Morar coast there were some a little better but some a lot worse.
