A previous review states 'If Heineken did camp sites they would struggle to top this one' & we totally agree.
This site was recomended to us by some good friends and it's that good we've stayed here for the past two weekends in as many weeks & will definitely be pitching here again on many more occasions in the future. Steve the owner is one in a million - from the outstanding super friendly customer care to the great upkeep of the site you'll surely not be disappointed with this 'little gem'.
If you fancy a break from cooking we can recommend the Saracen's Head family friendly pub/restaurant in Preesall which is just a 5min drive from this site (turn left out of the site follow the narrow road until you come to the end then turn left & it's the first pub on the left) which offers generous portions with friendly efficient staff at reasonable prices.
We'll definitely be renewing our Camping & Caravan Club membership just so we can keep on coming here!

How easy and selfish it would be to post a negative review, so as to put others off and keep this fantastic site from being oversubscribed! The toilets are now all open with clean and I do mean CLEAN facilities. There is always liquid soap and a fluffy towel available at the sinks. The shower with adjoining changing area is A1 loads of room to shower and get dry without trailing clothes in puddles of water. Steve is probably the most laid back site owner in the world, If heineken did camp sites they would struggle to top this one. Perhaps Steve should hold courses in customer relations cos I know a few site owners who could learn a lot from him. Would I go back? Most definatly am just going to look up when Easter is next year and book so as to be sure of a pitch. Excelent value with out hidden extras.

Didn't really want to post this but what a little gem this site is! The toilet and showers are now finished and working. There are 2 toilets and 1 shower in both the ladies and the gents. Steve is planning to install a disabled toilet and washing up area next. The playground is also going to be upgraded but all the kids on the site made full use of the facilities. You do need a car as the nearest shop is over a mile away. The fishing was excellent I believe (DH advised). We stayed on the site with just a visit to Fleetwood on B/H Monday which is not far. There are 2 big carboot sales just a short drive away. I just hope we can get a pitch next time we want to go!

1st night in our new motor home. Had rung a few days earlier to book a pitch and said would arrive between 20:30 and 21:00. Arrived a little late, due to heavy traffic, to find the owner, Steve, waiting for us as he was worried we were late! He was a real godsend as nothing was too much trouble and his help in setting us up was fantastic. We awoke next morning to a beautiful site, with a fishing pond, small play area for kids and the famous toilet block, still under construction! Steve appeared with his amazingly friendly attitude and again offered lots of advice and help.We left on Sunday morning on our all too brief stay. I'd just like to say Steve is the friendliest, most helpful man I've met in a very long time and I'd like to give him, and his site, the highest recommendation.

This is a small c&cc certified site. It has excellent hardstanding pitches with lit bollards supplying electric hook-up. there is free coarse fishing in the stocked pond. There is a kids play area with swings, slide and a trampoline. The pitches are well sheltered by low trees. It should be even better next year when the toilet / shower block is completed. Steve the owner is very friendly and helpful. Close to clevely and blackpool.

This is a lovely site. There are hard-standing pitches positioned among the low trees, with electric hook-up. There is ample space around the pitches which have lighting posts at night. There is a children's playground with swings and a trampoline, which is easily visible from the pitches. There is nice dog walking around the woods and a stocked pond which is available free to fish. Toilets and showers are due to be completed by 2008. The owner is very friendly.
