This site can probably claim to be the most westerly campsite in Europe, as it's out on the west of the Dingle peninsula. It's perhaps 8 miles north-west of Dingle town, and is a little isolated : but that's why you go to the extreme west of Ireland
The very pleasant and chatty lady owner said there was a pub 'down the road' though I didn't see any sign of it.
The bathroom and showers are spacious and very well thought-out to be kept clean. There's a large indoor campers' area for taking refuge if the weather gets nasty, and plenty of information available on local tourist attractions.
Hard-standing pitches are well-spaced, and sections of the site are segregated by hedges. There appears to be fresh-water taps at every 2nd pitch.
The site is next door to the Gallarus Oratory, a 1000 year old stone structure. But take note : avoid the signs to the large car park at the visitor centre. All you'll pay for is a film show. Walk up the side road a 1/4 mile and at a small car park there's a public right-of-way where you can legally visit the Oratory for free.
