 Nice little site just across the (quite busy) road to their private beach on Lake Orta. Facilities were pretty basic (some squatters, but at least they had toilet paper!) - and you have to pay for showers and hot water for washing up. More of a hassle than expense - the shower stops abruptly so wash your hair first!
The English spoken wasn't great, we'd phoned ahead and thought we'd arrange a pitch for 4 nights (they don;t take bookings of less than a week in high season) but when we arrived the bloke we'd spoken to said words to the effect 'no room - I thought you were dutch' - eh? However he and the owner (Fabio) were very helpful and found us a pitch for the night. We did have to move to another pitch for the next 3 nights, but as that had a lovely lake view we weren't too bothered.
The on site restaurant was not great, the only microwave food we were served in 3 weeks in Italy, but it was cheap and filled us up on the first night. There was no shop, but you could order bread from the bar the night before and they also had a selection of croissants as well as coffee and booze.
If you're looking for a restaurant I thoroughly recommend Ristorante Pizzeria Berimbao up the road at Crabbia.
Swimming from the private beach was lovely - clear, fishy water with lovely views of the mountains and pretty village (Ronco?) over the lake.
The whole Orta area is well worth a visit.
