 This is an ACSI site but watch out for the Swiss taxes adding about 30% extra to the price.
This is a nice little site overlooking the lake and half way up the hill, possibly a bit difficult to get up to for larger units. It’s also quite a few miles from Interlaken. The site has an open aspect. The better and more expensive pitches have lake views but as ACSI customers we were allocated a standard pitch nearer the back of the site, but still open and grassed. The site was very friendly if somewhat regimented by the Swiss owners and seems to be mostly used by Dutch and Germans. The toilets and showers were very clean and high standard. Tokens for the shower were given when we booked in (4 mins shower per token) but topping up the motorhome tanks with fresh water had to be paid for. All rubbish had to go into a rubbish bag handed out at booking in (extra bags are charged for!) There is a small bar & snack bar which we didn’t try. I should imagine the site is very quiet & peaceful most of the time but we arrived on a Wednesday teatime when the local shooting range had its meeting. There was shooting for about 2 hours until it stopped at 8pm, more like Beirut! The site was not the best for dog walking and there were no readily accessible free areas to let our dog off the lead. Despite this though we found this a nice site, stayed here two nights and would use it again.

This is a very popular site situated on the outskirts of Krattigen, near Spiez. There are a lot of residential/seasonal vans on the site. The camping areas looked well-maintained but the area for motorhomes looked rather unkempt. We visited just before the Swiss national holiday, and understandably, the site was very busy. There was a band scheduled to perform on the evening of the national holiday.
There are two blocks of toilet facilities. One block, with separate ladies and gents, is in the same block as reception and the busy bar/cafe. The other block, the ‘summer’ block, are unisex and open-air. Showers are 1 Swiss Franc. There are washing-up and laundry facilities. All are well-maintained and clean. There is a small on-site shop too, bread can be ordered for the next day. There is a restaurant within walking distance of the site, but we didn’t try it.
There are plenty of sign-posted walking routes close to the site, but unfortunately the site didn’t have any maps showing the walks.
The site offers free WiFi, which gave good reception in our motorhome.
