I spent 20 weeks at Hilltop Cottage stayed all through winter woke up to find SNOW on a few occasions extreme camping. ( loved it ) Had a really good time nice flat site, tidy toilet block Brackley just a 5 minute drive away. Pete and his boys were very friendly and helpful
Would definitely visit again if I'm working in the area.

Site itself is lovely and flat. It is right by a very busy and fast road and is noisy at times of the day. The chickens, while lovely to see, do cause extra housework, with chicken droppings being walked in onto carpet. Dog area is a bonus, as there does not appear to be any other dog walks nearby. Lots of security cameras everywhere, so owners can watch all comings and goings. The local pub is now permanently closed.

This is a wonderful 5 van campsite for adults only.
We were met by the owner who gave us a very warm welcome and gave us the run down of where things were situated.
There is both grass and hardstanding pitches available and as we stayed during the 'Drought' we pitched on the hardstanding.
The facilities are spotless. There is a single shower which is coin operated and two toilets again both kept impeccable.
Also in the same building is the washing up facilities.
The chemical disposal point is also inside which was very useful.
We will with out a doubt return to this site.

We spent 10 days here.
Good points:
Flat as a pancake,
Immaculate almost bowling green standard grass, huge entrance,
Adequate pub exactly half a mile down the road (A411 - so use hi-viz vests and a torch when walking back)
Spotless loos and shower on 20p token
Friendly owner if not a little over zealous with the site rules.
Bad points:
No disposable BBQ's allowed even on stands, but a really good free standing gas unit is available for hire - £5 / night. If it was £2. 50 / night (same price as a disp BBQ) it would be used much more. But a fiver is a lot for cooking 4 sausages!
Right next to the busy A411, if in a tent the road noise in the mornings especially is irksome.
Owner runs weird 'bric-a-brac' stall of car boot items and an honesty box on a trestle table, some caravan stuff (e. G. Aquaroll etc) but also pottery dogs and 'tat' on sale for 20p.
The problem is that the bric-a-brac trestle table is right next to the chemical loo emptying point, which is itself indoors, terrible if any spashback and I saw two courgettes for sale at 30p on a bench, right next to someone's soiled Thetford Cassette yellow dosing cap.
The last very bad thing is the free range chickens (about 10 of 'em), who come into your awning and steal any open food, and deposit their faeces all over the field, hence we had to clean the caravan doormat / carpet of chicken droppings several times. Not very hygienic and very annoying. Their wings aren't clipped I guess, so they just wander around the whole site.
Overall, we would return, but only if the chickens were penned in. Many guests made the same comment.
