On arrival we were greeted with smiles and the 8 days continued in the same spirit.
Pitch allocated was flat and massive, caution that the tree roots hinder putting pegs in.
Swimming pool and leisure facilities were all very good. Plenty on offer for all ages of children. My 17 year played enjoyed the basketball and volleyball tournaments.
Located a 10 min walk to a small town with a few bars and restaurants, which leads you straight onto the amazing beach and waves.
I recommend this camp site.

The site is pretty outstanding with facilities and location to a beach which is one of the best I have ever been to. Long golden sand and even on the busiest day, not too crowded. The sea is not great for swimming as it is so rough, although the surfing is amazing and our children did do the surf school which they loved. I don't think you will beat Eurosol for the facilities and beauty of the area.
We drove down from the Calais taking 2 1/2 days. Taking the cost of the Eurotunnel, tolls, sites and fuel it is not greatly different to the cost of taking Brittany Ferries to either Bilbao or Santander, especially if you join the Brittany Ferries frequent traveller club which discounts the fare by 30% and is worth doing even for a one off if you are a family and save yourself the 660 mile drive
Access to the village isn't really viable by walking, but going in the opposite direction towards the beach and there are a number of restaurants and a couple of shops as well. The on site shop is also good and reasonable.
We did a visit to San Sabastian in Spain. Absolutely loved it and will probably return for a long weekend. Lovely and very sophisticated small city
We visited in August and there were a few cons/things to be aware of:
We travelled this far down to get the weather. However, we had a lot of cool days and also a fair amount of rain as well. Apparently the western coast is more prone to weather than the Mediterranean coast so be aware.
We were fortunate and had a fairly roomy pitch. However some were extremely tight and I would have been very unhappy being on some others. Trying to get a van on without a mover is very difficult and requires 4 people to do it otherwise. Being in a pine forest some of the trees are not exactly conveniently sited so you have to work around them but it is doable! On the serviced pitches it is not really viable to use a grey waste pipe as the drains are too high up.
On the subject of the pine trees, they constantly drop sap. I found it encrusted on the caravan, awning and car and was very difficult to remove. I am told that methylated spirit is the answer although not on an awning!. When I got home I found the caravan roof completely plastered with sap. A lot of people had brought covers for their cars.
A mistake we made was coming this far south with teenage kids as there were very few British families on the site, the majority being Dutch and then French ( who were exceptionally polite and well behaved). Ours found it difficult to break into the social groups that had formed and as a result we had them hanging around a lot and sometimes fed up which wasn't great. When returning home, we stopped off at a Castel at Le Mans which was about 80% British. Within a few hours they had made some friends and disappeared of having fun and as a result we have decided that we will not go as far south again. The limit seems to be around La Rochelle for how far most British families travel and is something to bear in mind. Shame but a fact of life it seems.

A big forest campsite with sandy dusty pitches. The pitches seemed a bit too cramped together not allowing for much space. Some of the pitches were awkward shapes being between the trees but as you could park at any angle everyone seemed to be managing fine. The serviced pitches have electricity, water and drainage.
The facilities seemed quite new and modern, large shower cubicles with the showers set in a corner which seemed to allow more space and prevent splashing of your clothes. The toilet roll was outside the cubicles which was a bit strange, however at least it was provided!
The bar was nice with both food and drink being reasonably priced and they accept card payments.
The site backs on to loads of cycle tracks, these were great for walking the dog on but in the peak period I expect these would be quite busy. The gates around the site let you onto the cycle paths but for security reasons don't allow re-entry, the entry point being the main entrance. The beach is about 10 minutes walk, lovely soft golden sand (hard work to walk on!) and large crashing waves. To get to this you walk through the village centrr which had a shop and some restaurants.

On arrival at camping Eurosol reception we where greeted by friendly English speaking staff who made a nice fuss of the children giving them gifts like frizbies kites and our 3 year old a Eurosol bear [nice start). They took us to our pitch which was a good size level but a bit sandy. We had paid for electric and water pitch you share the water point with the 3 other pitches around you but you have your own tap. On walking around the site there is maybe 200 camping pitches 100 mobile homes so a good size park but well kept some of the tent pitches where on slopes some steep [if I was tenting pay extra and get elec and water connection as thay are all level].
Really clean toilet and shower blocks. Showers always hot except one evening but in 15 days one cold shower can't really complain toilets had seats too. The pool complex is really nice with 3 good size pools plus a safe baby pool.
The beach is a good 5 mins walk very clean big waves. We took our bikes as on previous holidays on that coast have enjoyed great cycling; lots of cycle paths but none of them seamed to go anywhere sadly that is the only let down with this site its a bit remote but if you enjoy camping in a forest on a great site practically on the beach this is for you [my kids are begging me to book again for next year]

We loved this campsite because it had everything for us and our kids, nice pools, clean services, handy well stocked mini-market, helpful staff, beautiful natural pitch lay-out under the pine trees, kids club and the wonderful beach a good 10 minute walk with little ones.
The area around the campsite was delightful with beautiful forest walks and there was a good Super you supermarket about 15/20 mins away by car when you needed to get a big shop in.
We stayed 2 weeks and loved it. Its a long way down the coast when you are travelling in July temperatures with little ones 7 and 1 years of age.But worth the effort when you get settled in and the sea air comes rushing in through the pines in the evening time.
