This is the second time we have stayed here as its close to family.
The lady on reception was very helpful (although we did have to use Google translate) as we thought we were going to be arriving after closing.
The pitches were a good size (we are 8. 2m motorhome) with water and electric. The toilet facilities are rustic and their doors face the outside so it could be cold.
There was no toilet paper. However we have used this type of facility on a number of campsites in France and whilst antiquated they were clean.
The site was almost ready to close for the season and the shower block was closed but whilst we didn't use them there were some in a 'portacabin'.
Money does need spending on updating these now old facilities. We had visited in 2012 when they were new.
The site is nicely situated for visiting Lisieux and surrounding area. We paid €20pn

Plus points - Good location, pitches well maintained, electrics all new, and the plumbing is good. Very hot water, and the dish washing area was cleaned regularly.
Nearby supermarket which has good facilities, road takes you to the centre-ville in a 20 minute walk.
Bad points - Toilets and showers were absolutely disgusting. They had not been cleaned at all in the entire time we were there, and the maintenance chart on the wall last had an entry of 8/5 - over a month earlier. This seemed in accord with the grubbiness of the floors, sinks, showers and particularly the toilets.
No toilet paper or soap either, needless to say. The facilities were comparable with the worst example of a bus station toilet. The only cleaning they got at all was from the campers themselves.
There were two people working on the site, spending a lot of time maintaining the grounds, but the only attention the toilet/shower block receives is a hosing down of the outside and entrance.
Shame - this badly let down an otherwise good site.

We chose this site as it was close to where our daughter lived. We stayed 2 nights and paid 16. 60 euro per night. We usually get lost finding sites but this was very well signposted through the town. Upon arrival, with the warden speaking no English and our French just basic we were directed to find a pitch and we chose one that was hard standing and fully serviced. Although there were trees above us we did get TV reception with just a normal ariel. There was a little road noise as the road which runs at the side of the site looked like a business park. The facilities looked new although two of the new toilet doors wanted refitting in order for them to close properly. The site was very clean and tidy with a security barrier.
We walked into Lisieux which took a leisurely 30 min along the flat main road. There is a regular bus which stops outside the site but we didn't use it.
We will definitely use this site again

We booked onto this site for 2 nights to watch the Tour de France come through the town. I had booked online via the tourist board website and received a prompt reply. The site is well signposted from the edge of town. There is a supermarket with Petrol not too far away which has spaces which are not ideal but can take motorhomes for parking while you shop. We arrived at the site to find the chap on reception did not speak any English which is unusual but I had a few key phrases memorised.
We were taken onto the 'van' area of the site and offered a choice of a couple of pitches. They were hard standing and seemed a decent enough size until the manager explained we had to pick the left or right hand side as they were for 2 vans! We pulled onto the left hand side pitch as close as we could to the edge still leaving space to access the gas/water/toilet lockers. We had to place our chairs in front of the van. When the next van arrived to join us they did the same so we ended up with about 3 foot between the vans. Not particularly nice to be that close to another van.
All the facilities were of very good condition and we didn't have to queue for showers or sinks. The site is well maintained and tidy with some road noise but not enough for it to be a problem. If you are looking for an overnight stop as we were then this is a good site BUT if you are looking for somewhere for a longer stay the key things to remember are - The site is a good 2km walk into the town centre. The nearest shop is the supermarket but this is also a fair walk away. The tree cover could be a problem if you are using satellite dishes (we couldn't get any reception) and lastly, unless you are in a caravan the pitches are very tight. We paid approx 17euros per night.

This turned out to be a very useful overnight stop on the way to and from northern Brittany. The site is well sign posted on the outskirts of the town from all directions.
Caravan and motorhome pitches are hard standing and partially shaded, tents are in a different grassy area.
The office was closed when we arrived so we found a pitch and registered when they opened. There is a gate which is locked from 10pm - 7am.
The facilities were very new and well looked after (free hair dryer in both Ladies and Gents)
There were a number of itinerant workers from a nearby construction site, living in some of the tents and mobile homes but as they didn't get back from work until about 8pm and left before 7am they were no bother.
There was a bit of railway noise but it didn't go on all night.
We didn't go into town when we were there, it was way too hot!
If we are travelling that way again we will definitely stay there again, possibly for 2 or 3 days to explore the area.
