What a difference 3 years makes, the previous owner of this site sold up just after we left in 2010, at that time it was not a great site but we enjoyed our stay. Now the site has new owners and the place is just full of mobile homes. The few touring pitches are totally neglected very uneven and just a few electric hook ups 6 amp and at 25 euros a night it was extortionate, the toilet block was hardly used and cobwebs all over, its such a shame as this site is in a good position for cycling into La Baule and up to Guerande, unfortunately we wont be going back again.

We visited the campsite having found it in the Alan Rogers guide. The campsite is uneven and may be difficult for some motorhomes to navigate especially as the 'tracks' to each pitch are small.
The facilities were ok, I did find that people (kids I'd hope!) were abusing them and not cleaning up after themselves. Often you can't blame the campsite cleaners/owners because it's the visitors who are scummy!
The pool was wonderful, clean and a good quantity of sunbeds.
The walk into La Baule seemed longer than 2km but maybe it's not. Choose your bars carefully if you visit we paid over 14 Euros for two drinks!
Overall I'd revisit.

We stayed here for 2 weeks end of June, we were there when the world cup final was on. The pitches are amongst the pine trees and at first found it difficult to get on our pitch due to problems with our mover but once settled we loved this site and the area. The toilet blocks were ok, I used them a few times when OH was in our shower. The pool was lovely and warm with plenty of sun beds around. There were big barbecues on site for anyone to use. We took our bikes and went everywhere on them. There is a big carrefour about 1km away an easy bike ride and La Baule seafront/beach is easy to get to with a long promenade and a designated on road cycle path from one end to the other. We also cycled to Geurande which is off road most of the way, this is a fab little town with a market on a few days each week, lovely places for lunch and nice shops, not touristy at all. We are thinking of going back here this year 2013 (May) just waiting for a good weather forecast. J x

I followed the town centre signs to this campsite and took a punt. It was well judged. I got a single person discount and a 15% discount as my first night was 1st September. Helpful owner whose English was as good as my French which made things easier.
Well appointed pine shaded site on SW facing slope with flat pitches. Plenty of shaded spots or sunny spots or even combination areas. The pool was very clean tidy and fenced off with about 25 loungers. Adequate clean and regularly serviced toilets and showers.Plenty of dishwashing areas.Recycling/rubbish area well away from any pitches. 2km walk/drive into town(station end)lots of wildlife. Red squirrels, woodpeckers, treecreepers, owls. Nice spot.
If wind is in wrong direction, I imagine that the main road noise(about a mile away) could be annoying at peak times(6-9am). Apart from that I would recommend this site and the area as the beach really is one of the best in Europe. 12km long!
