We were two families staying on this lovely little site at the end of half term holidays.

The site only has 5 spacious pitches (two or three with electric hookup) but for half the time we were there we were the only campers on site.

There are no playground facilities but our 6 kids were able to occupy themselves watching the horses and playing other games.

The toilets are a hundred metres or so to walk but this wasn't really a problem. They were 'rustic' but cleaned every day. The shower worked fine and one seemed to be enough even when others were on the site

It was lovely to be around all the horses, to be able to watch the lessons going on and my daughters were able to have a lesson as well which they loved. The down side to this was that the children were asked not to fly kites or be too noisy with their games as it would spook the horses. I think this is a fair enough trade off for the pleasure of being at an equestrian centre. The horses didn't make noise or bother us during the night in any way.

There's not a huge amount to do in the area, but Thetford Forest is lovely for a day out and we made a drive to the coast as well which took about an hour.

All in all I would happily recommend this site - great value for money and a joy to have a field to ourselves.

Amazing place. Very cool and its nice to wake up to the sound of horses. I went horse riding and it was really fun to do the balancing activities! It was epic watching other people horse riding. Friendly staff and they are really helpful, the facilities are simple. My dad literally packed everything he could so we were fine : )! It is a small campsite so quite quiet and the site is surrounded by horses so very peaceful.

It's easy to miss the entrance to this site - keep your eyes peeled for a brown camping/horse riding sign in an entrance with shrubs set back from the road.

The site is set in a small field in the middle of a horse-riding centre. Campers are not in the way of the horse activities but camping is very much of secondary importance.

The touring field is small and it is a bit of a long walk from the pitching area to the loos.

There are two toilets which were basic and a bit dirty (the hot water tap was broken in the ladies and there's only a mirror in the gents!).

There is one large unisex shower room with a modern electric shower, bench and hanging space. There is also a washing machine and tumble drier in the same room (not sure if campers can use these) plus a spare socket so you can use a hairdryer.

There are no washing up facilities at all so this is not really a suitable site for people in a tent who want to cook a fry-up in the morning!

The location is peaceful and about a mile from Ixworth where the Greyhound serves reasonable pub grub and well-kept real ale with a friendly welcome.

This is a handy site for a stopover (and good value) but not ideal for a longer stay if you are in a tent due to the limited facilities.

The campsite here is peaceful with beautiful views of grazing horses, which become silhouetted against the spectacular sunset across the fields.

We benefited from electric hook up and the pitches are spacious with no 'pack em in' mentality that we have experienced elsewhere.

The shower room, and cubicle are large and suitable for the family to use together, with plenty of room to dry and hang clothes. It was always clean.

The owners are friendly and helpful; we were shown to our pitch on arrival, and our girls enjoyed partaking in the horse riding.

The area has many places worth a visit that are a short drive away, and the village has 2 pubs serving good food.

We plan to return for a stay next summer.

We had booked by phone to stay for two nights whils attending our grandaughter's christening. There is no indication or signage to say that you have arrived at the site. I drove into two incorrect drives before being advised by a local neighbour where the site was. I had to reverse back into the road as there was no way of turning the outfit.

The driveway is very narrow and completely enclosed with trees which may scratch the van as you negotiate avoiding the concrete blocks which have been laid at intervals on alternate signs of the driveway.

The camping/caravan field is just a field with an electric hook-up for two vans and a water tap which is some distance away.

We found the owners unhelpful on arrival and the site was very unwelcoming. Sadly a stressful experience for both myself and my wife.

This is a lovely location and has easy access to the main routes around Bury St Edmonds, Thetford and the coast.

The owners of the stables are very friendly, accommodating and recommended places to visit/eat.

The shower room is kept very clean and comfortable with separate toilets for Men and Women.

The village of Inxworth had a very friendly family pub (sorry can't remember the name it was on the right handside as you go into the village from Bardwell).

Pakenham Watermill is well worth a visit with a tea room and restored working mill.

We stayed here for a few days last month. It is a lovely site, small but very nice. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The showers and toilet block look new and work well, nice and clean. For anyone who likes the countryside and for people with children who might wish to go horse riding it is ideal. There is plenty of space for children to play.

The sunsets across the fields are amazing to see and the evenings lovely and quiet. It is a good base to see much of Suffolk and the historic town of Bury St Edmunds a few miles away. There is a large village on the doorstep with shops, pubs and a good bus route if needed. I think it would appeal most to those with an interest in horses, cycling, peace and quiet and walking, well worth a stay. We will be returning!
