Only stayed a night before getting on le shuttle the following morning.
Pitches were decent but I’d only recommend as a place to stop over on the way home! Facilities basic.
Bar was ok, food a bit rubbish but at least was available, and a carrefour nearby.
Ambleteuse seafront underwhelming.

We will definitely not return!
We stayed here for two nights only before catching the ferry from Calais.
13. 50 euros per night (27 euros} was acceptable but add to that 1. 60 euros per shower, (two each 6. 40 euros) electricity 4. 00 euros per night (8. 00 euros) for lighting only.
When explaining to the lady that this was the first time in eight weeks of touring France and Spain that there had been extra charges for taking a shower, she replied. 'Water is expensive here' (So why are cold showers free?)
The free wifi they offer is more often down than up and can only be reached if lucky (And we were not) if you join the kids and their music just outside the reception office.
As it was holiday weekend, the site was busy and the area teaming with visitors but there was no shop and the bar was being used to house machinery instead of it's advertised purpose.
The pitch was a fair size but with it's low hedges offered no privacy and the grass was so long we had to trample it down before we could lay the awning groundsheet.
The beach is a long downhill walk from the site and a big disappointment when arriving. I would certainly not take my grandchildren to play on those slippery tidal rocks but as I will not entertain the thought of returning to Camping L Eglantier, happily it is a disappointment they wont have to face.

We had a two night stay here after a recommendation from a friend.
The site is quite large with a mix of statics, long term pitches and touring pitches. The pitches were a good size for us on our camper. Check-in was ok, I’m not particularly good at speaking French, but got there in the end without too much difficulty.
The cost of the pitch was about 13 Euros, but I hadn’t realised the cost for the dogs, 3. 10 Euros each extra, had I known in advance I would have forgotten to mention the second dog! Showers were extra and needed a token.
There is a WW2 museum opposite that was worth a wander round and it’s about a 5 minute stroll down to the beach. We walked along the beach to the next village and tried one of the restaurants which was nice. There’s a path back, set away from the road which was handy as it was getting dark for our return to the site. Being only a 20-30 minutes away from the Eurotunnel, it was a bit of a surprise how nice the area and countryside was really.
We would happily use this site again.

A pleasant site, where we spent a night before embarking at Calais for Dover. We had a spacious emplacement. The facilities were good.
We failed to find a nearby boulangerie in the morning. There was no campsite shop, but there was a bar, an entertainments room, and simple food available in the evening.
There is no pool, but the sea is a short walk away, with a promenade and a historic fort at one end of it. The beach is a mixture of rock and sand.
