 Wonderful site.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

Felt perfectly safe although I was the only person camping for three of the six nights.

It keeps asking for more words.

 Fantastic, clean and great campsite.

Has a cafe if you want the option to eat at the cafe.

Only negative, is the road near by and people can often speed - but coverage of trees helps reduce sound

This site is local for us and we go up either by ourselves in the motorhome or with two daughters plus their families. Basic site but brilliant for children and so peaceful. Very laid back attitude from owner - not sure if there are any rules. Bins emptied regularly and toilet clean but basic. Plenty of things to do around the area/

Great basic sight, but only one toilet and sink in the same block for the whole sight. Owner comes round each night to empty bins and keeps the sight in very good order. He didn't even hassel us for our money we put it through the door of the farm house. Limited hook up's so much so we opted to go without so we could camp further up the feild.

We liked this site, but it looks a lot better in sunshine than in rain, when the entrance and the first part of the field is rather muddy. It soon dries out with a bit of sun though. The grass is cut regularly but not picked up, so it does tend to get everywhere.

The owner is extremely laid back in that you don't see him, there is a letter box in the information hut where you are asked to deposit your payment if nobody calls. The price is £10 per night with ehu and £7 without, so is a popolar weekend tent camping ground.

It's easy to find on the B4040, look out for a signpost to The Camp on the left, the site is just past here on the right, NOT the first driveway though, it's just past this. Don't try to tow up this road from Stroud, it's far too narrow. If you want to come from the south, use the A417, then as above. Watch out for the sharp left turn at Birdlip, don't go down the hill, especially if towing.

Local amenities: Co-op on the way into Stroud, opposite the park with the war memorial. Tesco is right at the first roundabout in Stroud, then left, the nearest fuel is here. There is also a Sainsbury's on the way to Stonehouse.

There are several pubs, the Woolpack at Slad seems to be very popular.

Woodchester Park off the scenic route to Dursley is lovely, great for dog walking and swimming (dogs not humans). There are lovely walks up behind Sheepscombe in the wildflower meadows, and one almost opposite the site which will take you along a beautiful valley. The track at the end of the site will take you through the woods if you turn left about 100 yards down.

Gloucester and Cheltenham are both about 9 miles away and cater for all your retail needs.

Just returned from our 4th short stay at this site. This seems to us to be the ideal 'pitch anywhere' easy going site.

Nice large (mainly flat ) field ensures you can always pitch up to get all day sunshine ( if that suits you).

The field is well sheltered and has plenty of room for kids to play if required. Nice woodland walks available directly from end of the field.

Not a lot of facilities as this is a CCC certificated site. However there is a toilet with washbasin etc if needed.

But a great site for just chilling out. We use it as a base for visiting the local Cotswold villages and Gloucester and Cheltenham.

'Seven Acres' is our 'local' CS and a definite favourite for a weekend getaway with the family in our motorhomes. At only four miles from Birdlip and under ten miles from the M5 it's also well positioned for those heading along the A417/A419 which links the M5 at Gloucester with the M4 at Swindon.

The site is very spacious, well tended and, with direct access to the glorious woodland it backs onto, the perfect place for country walks with the dogs. The Butchers Arms at Sheepscombe, in the valley behind the site, is well worth a visit for its excellent food.

'Kevinamey' and 'Derekion' have both given fair and accurate descriptions of the site and I agree with everything they've written. We've been twice (so far)and will certainly be back!

Just spent a gorgeous weekend at this lovely spacious site.

There is ample room to pitch your unit where you like however the electric hookups are situated mainly at the near end. The lovely long field is kept tidy and has numerous benches, an outside BBQ facility together with flowers and shrubs.

There is a toilet on site which is adequate should you not want to use your own facilities. The owners were friendly and helpful but were not lurking around the site at all times, which is how we like it.

At the far end of the field, a gap in the hedge takes you into beautiful woodland with various trails - perfect for wearing the dog out! There are also many walks nearby in, what is, quintessential British countryside.

For £10 a night we found this good value and will definitely be returning to this beautiful part of the country again.

Lovely spot for a peaceful break in nice countryside! Beside a B road but traffic noise rarely seemed to intrude on the tranquillity.

Park wherever you want on a spacious level field, but you may need your extra-long cable to ensure you're not parked too near the unit next door if you need electric.

Friendly, very helpful owner. Stroll down the path through one of Europe's finest beech woods to enjoy a great village pub.

Beware of over-indulgence, it's quite a climb back up! Only one toilet on site, so you do need your own facilities. We'll be going back soon!

We cannot agree with the review already posted. We stayed 2010 for 4 nights and 3 nights 2011. Last year leaves on toilet floor but not this year and loo and washbasin were clean on both occasions with adequate paper. Planners don't always allow the erection of buildings!

It is a very large level well-mowed field with lots of space and elec. Points at 1 end & a cdp and flower beds. It is next to a road and there is some traffic noise at rush hour but quiet at night and daytime.

As an ex motorhome owner a hard standing is beneficial but we would not expect this on such a site for £7 per night plus £3 elec. And it is not necessary.

Payment arrangements made by phoning owner.

There are shops and pubs close by and it is very handy for Painswick, Sheepscombe, Slough, Cirencester, Cheltenham and Gloucester and the many beautiful surrounding villages. Mobile signal spasmodic.
