Just returned from a lovely nights stay, if you want peace and quiet then this is the place.
Visited Ripon which has a good mix of shops and a nice cathedral.
Morrisons supermarket not far away - could walk quite easily.
No facilities on site (other than water, waste disposal and recycling) but at £9 per night, total bargain.
Owners are lovely, will have a chat and are there if needed but leave you to enjoy the peace.
Passed a few pubs that do food on way to Ripon (only 2 miles away) but didn't try any.
We will be back next year.

Another nice site, easy to find from the Ripon bypass. It is along a longish track from the road, take it slowly as it's somewhat bumpy, continue past the house and the field is on the left. It's not quite level, but easy enough to level up. The field is attractive and quite large with trees on the far side, a disused railway at the top. Recycling facilities are good.
It's about 2 miles from Ripon, which is an interesting old town with a lovely cathedral and some good shops, including a factory and catalogue shop for cheap items. Supermarkets are Booths (expensive), and Sainsburys, to find Sainburys turn right by Curry's.
Fountains Abbey is also nearby and should not be missed. Knaresborough, Harrogate and Nidderdale are also nearby.
Good price of £9 per night.
