There is a great view of the mountains from this site which is in the middle of a spectacularly beautiful area of France.
The toilet blocks are to a good standard with separate areas for men and women.
I had a burger and chips in the site restaurant which was well cooked.
My only complaint is that the free WiFi didn't reach my pitch which is a problem at most sites in my experience.

This site is in a beautiful location and if you are after peace and quiet this fits the bill. We were there at the beginning of July and it was very quiet, the pitches are a mixture of sizes from average to large, we had a very large pitch that comfortably housed a 7. 2 metre long caravan with awning, car and had plenty of space to spread out. The site is located on the edge of a nice village with limited facilities, a small mini market and a restaurant. The nearest supermarket is about 15 miles away in La Mure along twisting, hilly roads and takes about 40 minutes to get there. The nearest hypermarket is in Grenoble about 37 miles away. We didn't use the site restaurant but it seemed popular and all the food is home made and prepared by the owner. Facilities are good and kept clean. Owners are helpful, friendly and speak English.

We thought this was one of the best sites we have visited, the surroundings are beautiful. The campsite offers large and medium pitches with electricity and great views. The pool is great for families and the bar and restaurant are very good all the food is prepared by the owners and is lovely, we ate there twice which is unusual for us, you do have to reserve a table if you want to eat. There is an open area in the middle of the site for impromptu games for children. The owners and their family are very helpful and even offer a free outing to a local waterfall lead by the lady of the campsite. The supermarket is a long distance away but we found the village shop could provide most of what we needed. The showers and toilets were always clean and unusually never busy, possibly because it was predominantly caravans. This site also has chalets available to rent. This site was mostly Dutch families which was a nice change. All in all a great site.

Very attractive, small site in the Trieves valley with stunning views of nearby mountains. 25 miles south of Grenoble, 40 miles north-west of Gap.
Spacious pitches, mainly separated by hedges, surrounding a large grassy area ideal for children in high season but great for couples in low season. Nice pool. Bread and croissants available in the morning. Very friendly, helpful owners. English spoken. Small restaurant and take-away (Pizzas delivered to your pitch!).
Good area for walking and for scenic drives. Would particularly recommend the drive up and over the Col de Menee returning via the Gorges des Gets. Cirque de Archianne and the Barrage de Sautet also well worth a visit. Very good local market in Mens about 10 miles from the site.

Lalley is a small village just off the E712/N75 about 60km south of Grenoble towards Sisteron. The area has stunning scenery – distant mountains with patches of year-round snow, and local peaks to over 2000 metres, with patchwork farmland in the valley below. Camping Belle Roche is an excellent site about 400 metres from the village. Pitches are mostly very generously sized, many hedged, giving a feeling of space and privacy. There are several smart-looking modern bungalow/mobile homes on site available for rent. It has modern facilities in two blocks, kept immaculately clean. Water in the showers is powerful, but the temperature is slightly on the cool side. The other reason not to linger too long is that the timer on the light switch is not generous, and you may well end your shower in the dark! There is a very pleasant swimming pool area next to reception and small restaurant – the pool is reputedly heated but we didn’t try it. There is free WIFI in this area and take-away snacks are available. The owners, Natalie and Patrick speak very good English and are extremely friendly and helpful. Bread is delivered daily, and there is a small ‘Vival’ grocery shop in the village which can provide most needs. About 40 km away is a tourist railway line – Le Train de La Mure – said to be the most spectacular line in Europe, and this is unlikely to be an exaggeration! The line hangs onto the edge of cliff hundreds of metres above the lakes below for part of the time – magnificent. Advance booking is highly recommended - this can be done on internet or by phone. If you fancy hiking or biking you get a local map from reception – some of the hikes are quite demanding.

The old N75 (now D1075) is a lovely way to go south from Grenoble, and not too steep when towing a caravan.
This little site is just north of the summit of the pass (Col de la Croix Haute) but you drop down to the east of the main road to the village in a pretty valley.
We thought this was a model of what a small camp site should be - if only there were sites like this in the UK ! It's smart, well cared for, with all the facilities you want, and the owners take great pride in it.
We recommend it highly. The review from John+judy is spot on and accurate.
