We chose this site because we wanted to visit Ightham Mote (which is well worth it), and wanted somewhere a bit cheaper than Oldbury Hill.
My advice would be, pay a bit more and go to Oldbury Hill. The main reason for this is that the site is right next to the busy A25 with incessant traffic noise. The CC website describes it as a quiet site! Good access though. To find the site, coming from the M20, look out for the second turn at a crossroads to Stone Street, with Chaucer Business Park signed to the right.
The site is not very level and the other inhabitants are all long timers; one man had been there for 5 years! (so much for the 28 day rule). Electricity is metered and we paid about £2.50 - £3 per night on top of the £8 basic fee.
The good points are the prettiness of the site and the local area with the surrounding trees and the many birds and squirrels. The lady owner is very pleasant and chatty but you won't see much of her, she is old and lame.
There is a convenience store at Seal, about a mile away towards Sevenoaks, which has a Sainsbury's at Otford and a Tesco in the town centre.
